The document discusses factors to consider when choosing titles for a film genre of "traumatic romance". These factors include font, size, shape, color, and how they are presented on screen. The author believes a red font color would represent both danger and love, fitting the genre. White text on a dark background is suggested to look bold and catch the audience's attention. Capital letters in the title are proposed to convey trauma and danger.
Here is a PowerPoint I have made on films and their titles, looking at their use of typography in different genres; focusing on font, colour and other details.

2. As my genre of my film is going to be a ‘traumatic
romance’ I want the titles on my film to be perfect to
fit this genre and help represent the genre as a
whole.
Factors I need to take into consideration when
thinking of titles are:
-Size
-Font
- Shape of font
- Colours
- How they are presented on screen
3. This font for titles in my film would be
appropriate and effective as I believe this type of
font would help represent to the audience the
genre and help them make a link between the
font and romance.
4. The colour red for titles
would be effective as
the colour red
connotes danger but
could also represent
love. This would
therefore be starkly
effective as the genre I
have chosen is
‘traumatic romance’
which will contain both
aspects.
I believe that if my scenes in my film opening
are dark, I should use white titles as white
connotes purity and is bold to the audience,
this would therefore be eye catching too.
5. The font is too bold, I
may use a more
sophisticated font
and maybe not
capital letters as its a
romance, however,
the capital letters
would be beneficial
as it could connote
the trauma and
danger of romance.
Title is bold, capital letters
and white. This is
engaging for the audience
The dark background and white titles as the title is starkly
compliment each other immensely, evident to one.
which is eye catching.
6. Font for title good size for
titles as if it was too big,
this would ruin the
scenery of the opening
scene.
Background colour and title
complement each other as
colours do not clash.
The title is bold and engaging
and authorative looking due to
the typography of the title.
