27th of May, 1919. After three months of debate the bill was passed by a vote of 255 to 166. On the 5th
of September the Senate voted and passed the bill too. It was then made official after a final vote in the
House of 321 to 70, and so was made law on October 10th (Behr, 1996).

images refers to actions or motions. The work of fantasy I chose is Peter and Wendy. A fantasy is any
story of the impossible. Peter and Wendy is a fantasy story that is now called Peter Pan. Peter is a boy
who does not want to grow up. He flew into Wendy s room and lost his shadow. Once they found his
shadow Wendy sewed it back on so he would not loose it again. While getting his shadow sewn back on
Peter began telling Wendy and her siblings stories of Neverland. He told them that in Neverland you

Voter Turnout Elections happen all over the world in various countries on different scales. Some
elections can be for the president of a country while others can be for city council members. With all
elections come a voter turnout. Voter turnout can be measured in a number of ways. According to
Fairvote, some ways to measure are by percentages of either the amount of eligible voters, registered
voters, or by the total population that is old enough to vote in that designated area (Measuring Voter
Turnout). The U.S. and Texas both have low voter turnouts compared to others and struggle to increase
them. Voter turnout is always an important aspect when it comes to a measurement of participation from
the citizens for the election. Compared to other democracy countries, the U.S. does not have a high voter
turnout for elections. Against other developed countries that have a democracy government, the U.S.
ranked 31 out of 34 in voter turnout (Long). The percent that the U.S. has for its voting age population
that participated in the most recent national election was 55.7% while the percent of registered voters that

Los Angeles needed more water for its rapid growth. In all this great expansion of aqueducts and dams,
concerned citizens like John Muir proclaimed that more must be done to protect the majesty and beauty
of California before it is all gone. Inspired by the writing of Henry David Thoreau, which published
Walden, a landmark book on the topic of environmentalism, and his years exploring and camping in the
Sierra Nevada wilderness, Muir began to gather like minded scientists and thinkers in San Francisco.
Efforts by Muir and the formation of his Sierra Club in the 1890s eventually met with success in

It was finally game day for us freshman. Winter break just finished about two weeks ago and we finally
