These are the key characteristics of my primary audience and the use of mise en scene in my images helps appeal to them. NME also use a mid shot. The mise-en-scene of Jake Bugg displayed in the image represents the stereotypical conventions of the indie genre. The age, social class and gender of Jake Bugg is similar to that of the demographic of the indie genre resulting in an appealing image.
