1. Question 2The Artist represents more girls rather than boys as the colours are related to girls rather than boys. The photo and layout is very similar to VIBE magazine which is shown below. There is emphasis on the mouth area as VIBE magazine does. I have chosen this cover from VIBE magazine because the image is quite similar to mine, because it features around the mouth of the model. The picture also has hair up on the magazine which is quite unusual for a magazine but in both the magazines it works. The magazines both have an eye-catching image and the eyes stare directly at the audience, which makes the picture look like the model has attitude and promotes power to the image and status to it. The grey background on the magazine is similar to mine, apart from this one has a gradient and mine doesn't. The pose is very similar to mine as it uses the hand and mouth as a focus point and the eyes of the model draws the audience in. The makeup of the models is quite similar as the images both focus on the eye makeup of the image. The models aren't wearing similar costumes but they both are showing quite a lot of skin which is similar. Both of the images are mid shots but VIBE magazine is much bigger and more of a close-up/ mid shot as you can't see their bottom half and can only see half of their top half. The model on both magazines is a female and the colours used on both of the magazines is very girly and stands out as a girls magazine.
