LEARNING SITUATION IN NURSING EDUCATION
Nurse educators teach and prepare licensed practical nurses and registered nurses for entry-level positions. They teach in various healthcare settings to provide continuing education. Nurse educators also teach at the graduate level to prepare advanced practice nurses, nurse administrators, and nurse researchers. Clinical nurse educators have advanced education and clinical training plus years of expertise in a healthcare specialty. Nurse educator roles include designing curricula, developing programs of study, teaching learners, evaluating learning, and documenting outcomes. Responsibilities also involve advising students, engaging in research, participating in associations, and contributing to the academic community through leadership. Teachers must impart knowledge, meet student needs, serve as good role models, and perform duties ethically and treat students equitably

- #6 In today’s diverse, ever-changing healthcare environment, nurse educators are often the leaders who redefine processes for a better work-flow, document the outcomes of educational programs and guide staff, students and patients through the learning process.
