Gemma conducted primary research through a questionnaire to determine the target audience and preferences for a new music magazine. The research found that the target audience is 16-25 year olds, most of whom are male. Pictures were the most liked part of magazines. The preferred colors for the magazine were black, grey, and red. Most respondents would pay between £1-£2 for the magazine and preferred downloading music over CDs, with R&B being the second most popular music genre. Based on the research, Gemma decided to create a £1-£2 R&B magazine targeting 16-25 year olds.
