Simple Past
We use Simple Past to talk about an action
  completed in the past at a definite time.

Past Simple Positive +

We use DID as the helping verb in negative
sentences and questions.

1. Regular verbs ending in     - e we add - d.

2. If the verb ends in a   -y we drop off the -y
