Interpersonal Skills Are The Lifeblood Of An Efficient...
I sincerely feel interpersonal skills are the lifeblood of an efficient business. In the sections to follow I
hope to shed some light on many of these skills and prove how important they are in business;
Listening
According to skillsyouneed.com, Listening is the ability accurately to receive and interpret messages
in the communication process. (listening skills ). This may sound as a passive skill however it is far
from it. A good listener is actively involved in trying to understand the information as the speaker has
intended. This skill is vital to good business. One example of listening in action would be conducting
customer surveys to better ensure the needs of the customer are met. This may be as simple as asking
how can we better serve you or a complex as a large question bank to help judge company
performance.
There are many resources to help improve these skills. If you have a minute head on over to

Assertiveness
Assertiveness simply put, without being aggressive, being confident and self assured. An assertive
person is one who is not waiting in the back of the room for something happen; rather they are the
ones instrumental in making them happen. This is a crucial skill to have in the business world as
assertive people tend to create opportunities and innovation. In the business, assertiveness can be seen
in individuals who tend to provide

Intellectual Stimulation Scale
The intellectual stimulation scale identifies leaders who are able to encourage innovative thinking. In
addition to Idealized Influence and Inspirational Motivation, transformational leadership also involves
the intellectual stimulation of associates ideas and values. Through Intellectual Stimulation,
transformational leaders help others to think about old problems in new ways. They are encouraged to
question their own beliefs, assumptions, and values, and, when appropriate, those of the leader, which
may be outdated or inappropriate for solving current problems. As a consequence, associates develop
the capacity to solve future problems unforeseen by the leader. Associates learn to tackle and solve

Araby Historical Context
Milestone Project I Part II: Sources and Historical Context When it comes to the theories of Feminist
Criticism and Psychoanalytical Criticism an interesting aspect can be found, that at times they often
dispute or ignore one another, though they often coincide. Another aspect that follows along with this
is that the often intertwine with each other. Having both these topics to analyze the work Araby by
James Joyce coincide as well with the story s on analyzed historical context, and how the narrator s
actions. Feminism Criticism was stated to be used to find women s writing involvement in history,
recovering this writing, displacement of these writings, and whether women s tradition is being
established in the text (Wolosky 1). These conquests have not completely changed but have influenced
analysis and subject discussion over the decades that it has been present, not only influencing ... Show

James Joyce wrote each story as a perspective view into an Irish culture. One of the main settings of
the story is the Bazaar that is taking place, and though most writers and analyses of this work would
assume that this is not a real event this happens to be based off true event, The Araby Bazaar. This
cultural aspect was known moment in the time of the works setting, which as part of the analysis and
expands on the confirmed time period of the story. Expanding on the analytical research behind its
religious outlook would bring information from a perspective view, as the story is inherently Christian
based (Lovejoy 584). Interpreting and analyzing these topics with in the work and tied to the aspect to
the young boy as a narrator brings forth cultural evidence to pursue the boys understanding both
psychoanalytically and on a feminist level in criticism. They provide both a religious and cultural
setting impact based evidence that could align with the boy s

Iron Jawed Angels By Katja Von Garnier
Iron Jawed Angels, by Katja von Garnier, is a non fictional drama about a group of women who do
everything they can and will do in order to the women s right to vote during the years between 1912
and 1920, as it was started by Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and many others in 1890.
Alice Paul and Lucy Burns, two of the younger women suffragists, join the NAWSA (the National
American Woman Suffrage Association) to try to push for the constitutional amendment for women s
suffrage. Carrie Catt and Anna Shaw allow Alice Paul and Lucy Burns to take over the Washington
D.C. NAWSA committee, but Alice and Lucy would have to raise their own funds for the committee.
When Alice and Lucy first get to Washington D.C., Alice and Lucy go around recruiting a team of
volunteers, including Mabel Vernon, Ruza Wenclawska, and Doris Stevens. Alice, Lucy, Mabel, Ruza,
and Doris went to an art gallery to solicit for donations and in the process, Alice convinces Inez
Mulholland, a labor lawyer, to be the figure for the parade and the committee. President Woodrow
Wilson on one side of Washington D.C. feels a little bit ignored, because on the other side of
Washington D.C. the women suffrage parade ends up turning into a riot, with the women suffragists
being attacked. Alice and Lucy go over Carrie s, the president of NAWSA, head to pursue their
advantage of publicity by getting a delegation to go see and talk to President Wilson. President
Wilson, tells them that they have to wait a

Native American Interactions
Native American Interactions
Over the course of the expedition, Lewis and Clark developed a ritual that they used when meeting a
tribe for the first time. The captains would explain to the tribal leaders that the their land now
belonged to the United States, and that a man far in the east President Thomas Jefferson was their new
great father. They would also give the Indians a peace medal with Jefferson on one side and two hands
clasping on the other, as well as some form of presents (often trade goods). Moreover, the Corps
members would perform a kind of parade, marching in uniform and shooting their guns. Fifty years
before Lewis and Clark, the Blackfeet Indians had a reputation of being hospitable to Europeans, who

the Indians exchanged wolf and beaver pelts for guns, ammunition and alcohol. This relationship had
lasted more than 20 years, and during that time, the Blackfeet armed with guns had been able to
dominate their Nez Perce and Shoshone rivals.
Eight Blackfeet warriors encountered Meriwether Lewis and a party of the Corps of Discovery in July
1806. After their initial fears of the armed strangers had subsided, the Indians decided to camp with
the Americans. During this first day and night, Lewis explained the United States intent to bring about
a comprehensive peace between all the Indian tribes of the west. He went on to add that the Shoshones
and Nez Perces mortal enemies of the Blackfeet had already agreed to this peace, and would be
receiving guns and supplies because of it.
To the Blackfeet, American plans represented a direct threat. As far as the Indians were concerned,
giving guns to their adversaries only could result in a weakening of Blackfeet power. That night, the
Blackfeet attempted to steal the expedition s guns. Their plans went awry, and in the chaos that
ensued, Lewis and Reuben Field each killed a Blackfeet warrior. The incident marked the first act of
bloodshed between the western Indians and representatives of the United

Ecological Restoration At This Site Essay
Late stage shrubsThis site is located on Gunn Road on the outskirts of Matamata, Waikato. A tributary
of the Waitoa River flows through the middle of the site. The majority of the site has wet soils, and in
winter some areas can be prone to flooding, particularly nearer to the stream. Regardless the ground
tends to be boggy, particularly in winter. Consequently, this was historically conifer forest or swaps
(Waikato Regional Council, n.d. b). Currently, willow, grass and blackberry dominate the majority of
the site, with some existing flax plants in the wetter areas. For the most part the stream is fenced and
surrounded by a dairy farm, however often cows still get near the waterway, due to weak fences. It is
clear that this is a degraded site, with little indigenous flora or fauna. Consequently, there is a need for
ecological restoration at this site. Ecological restoration is the process of managing a site to return it to
its historic state in turns of ecosystem health and sustainability.
The general aim for this restoration is to eventually restore eight hectares of land adjacent to
tributaries to the Waitoa River to native forest, with the intention for future restoration projects to
continue along the Waitoa River to develop further riparian zones and forest patches. This will aid
biodiversity across the wider Waikato Region and also improve landscape amenity. A positive impact
on water quality is also anticipated, which will in turn improve recreation values for food

known to be spread typically in the eastern hemisphere, especially in Africa, Asia and Europe

Disruption Of Life In America Essay
Why is disruption of life different in America in World war II different from the disruption of life in
World war II in Japan?

The culture during world war 2 are how the disruption of life in America, and also disruption of goods

The disruption of life during the war in the USA. The disruption of life during the war in Japan. The
disruption of life through the transition from peace to building the military for war. Like women

In the conventional fantasy Japan slyly undermined peaceful diplomacy and forced the American
people into a war they did not want, whose government had employed every means to avoid.
(Atwood, 2010)
The disruption of life for my elder was that the transition of politics and peacetime to wartime. Instead
of the politicians worrying about peace and trying to not go to war they ignored most policy trying to
go to war to prevent any other conflicts and to stop the spread of communism and imperialism and
instead spread democracy. For example, Throughout the United States during the war years, the force
of Franklin Roosevelt s personality overrode all other concerns in presidential politics, and it displaced
bifactionalism in Louisiana during presidential campaigns. No matter how far apart reformers and
Longites stood on various other issues, they found common ground in their general support of
Roosevelt s presidential campaigns. (Sanson,

The Separation Of Powers Of The State And Its Powers
A constitution is a set of laws and other sources or principles that explains the way in which the state
is established. In short, it is a framework that explains the structure of the state and its powers. Unlike
most modern states, Britain does not have a codified constitution but an unwritten one that exists in an
abstract sense. It delineates the powers of the different branches of the state, and the restrictions placed
on the institutions and on state power. It is comprised of various acts of Parliament, court judgements
and conventions that have evolved over a long period of time. Since Britain does not have a written
constitution, it enjoys the luxury of legislative supremacy. In UK terms the separation of powers,
parliamentary supremacy, and the rule of law are all extremely important doctrines that pervade the
constitution.
The separation of powers is a doctrine or a theory that describes the way in which a state organises the
distribution of power and function between its different branches. It was originally a work of the 18th
century French commentator, Montesquieu, whose principles had a huge impact on the English
constitution system. He also coined the term trias politica or separation of powers . His doctrine said
that in a nation which has political liberty as the direct object of its constitution, no one person or body
of persons ought to be allowed to control the legislative, executive and judicial powers, or any two of
them. Montesquieu s work

Introduction
Hydraulic fracking ( Fracking ) dominates the US oil and gas industry. Although it is currently a
politically dividing topic due to environmental concerns (United States Environmental Protection
Agency, 2010), the concept behind fracking has been around for over 150 years (Roberts, 1866), and
has been in use in its current state for over 60 years (Clark, 1949). This report will cover the early
history of fracking, and its early technological advancements.
What is Hydraulic Fracking?
Fracking is a well stimulation technique used most commonly in oil and gas production. Hydraulic
fracking is usually performed on shale reserves, but conventional wells are also able to be fracked.
Fracking is an extremely important technique; not only increasing production rates of wells but also
adding approximately 20 trillion m3 of natural gas and 9 billion bbl of oil to the US reserves
(Montgomery Smith, 2010).
Fracking follows this basic process:
1. Fracking fluid is pumped into the well under high pressure (United States Environmental Protection
Agency, 2010).
2. This flows into the (perforated) reservoir rock, and creates hairline fractures (United States
Environmental Protection Agency, 2010).
3. Minute particles such as sand, called proppant are suspended in the fluid

America opportunities are not given equal, and these unequal opportunities reflects biased. In

Alex from A Clockwork Orange would be given the diagnosis of Conduct Disorder. His behavior
demonstrated in the movie greatly matches the DSM V criteria of the disorder. Portion A of diagnostic
criteria states that one must have persistent and repetitive violation of rights of others and the societal
norms one lives. These symptoms are manifested by the at least three of the fifteen criteria points
given. Alex is shown to have intimidated others (A1) and often starts fights with others (A2) such as
with his friends when they questioned his authority and the gang led by Billyboy. He is cruel to people

Although conditioning was temporarily effective, it was ultimately detrimental to him since he tried to
commit suicide. According to WebMD, there are currently no approved medications to treat conduct
disorder. Therefore, psychotherapy would be the most beneficial to Alex as he could learn how to
control his impulses. An effective treatment modality would be Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
In CBT, Alex would be able to go though the six components of the therapy. In the psychoeducation
portion, he would be able to understand his disorder and the management that is required for this type
of mental illness, which will be lifelong. Somatic management will help him learn techniques to
control any sort of physical symptoms that may come up with conduct disorder and cognitive
reconstruction would be able to help Alex modify the thoughts he has about violence and his
relationships with others into more positive ones. Problem solving would have Alex learn coping
strategies for when he feels violent impulses so he would not act on them and exposure would have
him exposed to stimuli that would trigger his violent impulses so he eventually conquer them. Lastly,
relapse prevention would lay ground work for him to prevent him from relapsing into old violent
behavior and outbursts and for him to maintain positive thoughts and behaviors. The main treatment
goal for Alex would to reduce his violent episodes from seven times a week (assuming he goes out

Research Paper On The Tempest
Written in England, around 1610 1611, William Shakespeare created the romance play titled The
Tempest. This piece of literature is set entirely on an unnamed island in the Mediterranean Sea during
the Renaissance time period; this type of setting is far from the royal courts and civic concerns which
typically dominate the Shakespearean corpus (Louden 201). In the beginning, the main character
Prospero, the duke of Milan, and his infant daughter were exiled from Milan, put on a ship, and left to
fend for themselves in the dangerous waters of the sea. It was by the power and greediness of Alonso,
the king of Naples, and Prospero s usurping brother, Antonio, that he was banished. Soon, Prospero

Alexander Von E Visite Analysis
Photography is the development of the authenticity of photographic images and relates to the
personality of what is being represented. Edgar Allen Poe believed that in order to capture a
photographic image, the truth must be revealed by those images. He imagines that the photographs
acknowledge perfection with close scrutiny. The terms photograph and photogenic are synonymous
which further compliment any portrait or drawing. Aerial and linear perspective, light and shade
accentuate the model. Therefore, the pictures or images must be the result of this. The real essence of
what Poe describes is what is seen is the truth of the sitter. The following three images are examples to
describe what Poe claims. Hermann Biow, Alexander von ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nadar, Théophile Gautier, 1857, salted paper print. These portraits vary to a certain extent and capture
the exactitude of the portrait. The daguerreotype by Herman Biow shows a pose of Alexander von
Humboldt. This earlier daguerreotype portrait is clear and sharp. The background is faded and the
model is dressed in a dark black suit. The brilliancy of the portrait is emphasized. The only way to
perfect this image would be to make the photograph more visible. Coincidentally, instead the
fadedness gives the portrait tonality. The daguerreotypes at this time were more distinct to its suitor in
that regards. However, the image still keeps the person in the image interested. The second image is
photographed by Ludwig Angerer of Elizabeth of Austria, 1860. The veracity of the image gives depth
to the composition of the portrait. The full length of this portrait is close to the appeal of what the
photographer was aiming for. Elizabeth s pose reveals conventionality. The brilliance of the skylight is
shown which gives the portrait truthfulness. Thirdly, Nadar photographed Theophile Gautier on salted
paper. This portrait brood s personality in the way it is opposite sides of the viewer. The person posing
for this image has equal shades of light and dark. The man in this portrait exudes aristocrat. His
personality comes across to the viewer as highly individualistic and straightforward. Overall, these
three portraits are sheer brilliance. The lifelike images are true to life and conform to utmost
perfection. This further supports Poe s claim

Breast cancer has definitely become a serious worldwide health challenge. According to the National
Institutes of Health (NIH), public health data points shows that the global burden of breast cancer in
women, measured by the number of times something happens, death, and financial based costs, is
large and on the rise. Worldwide, it is estimated that more than one million women are diagnosed with
breast cancer every year, and more than 410,000 will die from the disease (GIVE SOURCE). In low

Therefore, a number of studies have depicted the need for BC screening/early detection in LMICs to
prevent early deaths of women presenting with late stage at diagnosis. Yet, many complex issues
harvest in the context of planning and implementation of BC screening in LMICs. So far,
mammography has remained the main examination of BC screening throughout the world. Adequate
evidence exists from some randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that mammography screening is
associated with significant reductions in BC mortality. But in order to be effective, mammographic
screening programs must be of high quality, with appropriate targeting and of sufficient frequency. In
LMICs, BC incidence is lower and occurs more in younger age groups when breast tissue is dense.
Promoting a need for another, more appropriate screening examination to take place. Also, there is a
lack of resources for implementing any population level screening programs using mammography.
Running a mammographic screening program becomes impossible and pointless in LMICs since the
costs are too high and the benefits are insignificant. Maximum cost benefit can only take place if
screening is done in an age group which has a sufficiently high incidence of BC and sufficient

The Glass Menagerie Hopelessness
Many stories have a certain event that provides a plot to a story. From a big battle scene to a quest or
journey, every good narrative has a conflict. An exception to this recurring plot point is The Glass
Menagerie. The play was written in 1944 by the playwright Tennessee Williams. Williams wrote the
story without a physical antagonist, but rather an abstract notion of hopelessness that is bestowed upon
the characters. Every character in the Wingfield family struggles with this in their own way. With
these struggles, the climax of each character can be derived. The Glass Menagerie was written with
the theme of the play as a priority, rather than the story being the conductor of the theme. In the story,

Resorts. He has worked at Disney for a little over a year. With a P.h.D. in Computer Science, he
started with the company as a Software Developer Engineer Tester in the Parks and Recreation
department, and is currently a Project Manager of Software Engineering in the same department.
Before coming to Disney, Michael interned with Microsoft Technology while completing his P.h.D.
While completing his P.h.D, Michael married his wife, Christine. While completing his degree,
Michael was a research assistant at the University of Wisconsin Madison and a Microsoft Research
fellow. During his time as a research assistant, his son Ethan was born. After graduating with his
P.h.D, Michael and his family moved from Wisconsin to California, where he became a software
engineer for NASA. While at NASA, he was was the Feature Lead Developer for mission search and
browsing, Cognizant Engineer of the web development for the Mars Relay Operations Service, and
ScrumMaster for the MSLICE/MSeq development, and part of the group software for the Mars
Science Laboratory. After five years with NASA, Michael decided he needed a better work life
balance and wanted to be closer to his family, and moved to Florida to take a contract position with
The Walt Disney Company Parks and Resorts.

Personal Narrative On Jenny
At age 10, I would hide notes in her yard, I would stick deep within the bushes or far within the trees.
I had bought fake blood at Benny s Halloween Store and would run the bright liquid prop across the
trees sometimes on the notes. Every note lead to another clue. Every clue lead to her discovering
something. At one point the final note lead to a barbie doused in blood. I wasn t always that mean
though. Sometimes she would find things such as money or candy. Solving mysteries was her favorite
hobby. She was excellent at it. She was addicted to the suspense brought by it. Although, the older we
got, the less in touch we were. I was mowing my lawn when I saw a girl running. She was in beat up
clothing without any shoes on her feet. She was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I forgot that she is very uneasy about certain things. Being stubborn was in her blood. It still frustrates
me every time. However, I could not let that distract me during this time of the crime scene. Upon
arrival, I was told that the victim s file was ready to be analyzed once I was done investigating the
crime scene. The front of the house was a military green color which was very unusual. The garage
happened to be the same color and the porch was very small in size with two concrete stairs leading up
to the front door. There were many bushes, shrubs and various flowers planted throughout the yard.
Two old wooden steps lead to a side door to the house. I started by entering through the

Cradle Cap Essay
1. One potential and very likely cause of the children s hair loss is undergoing chemotherapy.
Chemotherapy targets rapidly growing cells throughout the body in order to kill the growing cancer
cells. One of the other rapidly growing cells that chemotherapy attacks are those in the hair roots,
which explains the hair loss. (Mayoclinic.org) 2. The condition that the baby has is called cradle cap
or in medical terms infantile seborrheic dermatitis . The cause of cradle cap is unknown but it is
relatively harmless to the infant. Some of the potential causes could be that during the end of
pregnancy, babies are given hormones from their mother s that could cause the seborrheic glands to be
overstimulated and more oil is produced from the baby s scalp. (mayoclinic.org) 3. Rotating a bed
ridden or wheel chair bound patient is important to prevent bed sores because bed sores are actually
pressure sores. Pressure sores are caused by stress on the skin, especially in vulnerable areas.

Vlad the Impaler or Count Dracula suffered from porphyria. Porphyria is a disease that can cause
many different things. The disease itself stems from mutations in genes. There are two distinct types
of porphyria; acute which affects the nervous system and cutaneous which affects the skin. I believe
that Vlad suffered from both types of porphyria, which is possible and common, because he displayed
symptoms of both. A lot of his rampages could have very likely been the cause of some of the mental
changes that are seen in acute porphyria and he was also known to have sensitivity to sunlight, similar
to that seen in cutaneous porphyria.

The New Single, By Shawn Mendes
Pop artist, Shawn Mendes, in his new single, Stitches, attempts to move on after a brutal break up.
Mendes s purpose is to notify his ex lover that he will be healed from his endless tries of getting over
her. He aims for an audience that he can relate to, who is going through a break up, and is well aware
of the painful process of getting over the significant other. People may consider that their life is ruined
because they are no longer in a relationship with the person that they love, but recovering from a break
up is evidence of growth and also hope to love again. At the beginning of the song, Mendes executes
the lyrics at a slow pace. The tempo at the start of the song is soft and modifies a settling feeling.
During this soft tempo, Mendes mentions that his ex lover s words are agonizing and cut deeper than a
knife. This represents the suffering and heartbreak of the lover who cannot handle the breakup. Next,
it shifts from a soft tone to an upbeat tone once Mendes says, Got a feeling that I m going under. This
upbeat tone produces the rising of anxiety and fluster which signifies the build up to the end of the
relationship. Ending a relationship is often a long and complex process, with repeated conflicts and
reconciliations. (Smith and Mackie) A breakage to a commitment to the other leaves heartache and
leads to grief. When love is not reciprocated, the rejected person suffers the pains of heartbreak and a
loss of self esteem. The only way to overcome this

Genome Editing Essay
Genome editing of germ line cells using CRISPR/Cas9 system
Recent studies suggest that genome editing of germ line cells is an effective strategy for mutated gene
correction in sperms and oocytes for the inhibition of onset of inherited disorder. The first time, germ
line genome editing in human by CRISPR/Cas9 system , was carried out to correct mutation of HBB
(Beta globin) gene in zygote of β thalassemia patients by homologous DNA recombination (HDR)
[80, 81]. Embryonic genome editing utilized in the treatment of such monogenic diseases prior to birth
is a rational use of embryonic genome editing in germ line cells. Homologous DNA recombination by
traditional gene editing techniques in mammalian eggs has a low rate ( 10%) in term of ... Show more

Because PGD usually is carried out by gametes prepared from parents. But parents who is confirmed
by PGD to have a high risk of transmition of inherited genetic mutation to their children and want to
have their own children, their gametes can be edited directly by Crisper/cas9 to create healthy
children.Nowdays germ line genome editing by programmable nuclease such as Crisper/cas9 is the
most useful tool to treat genetic diseases with high risk of inheritance mutation transmition.
Unresolved ethical problems still exist and are the main reason for delay onset of clinical trials in this
field. Large animal models can be utilized for a variety of monogenic diseases, particularly monogenic
neurological disorders like HD and Duchene muscular dystrophy) DMD (. Specificity, efficacy, and
side effects of germ line genome editing technology should be assessed by animal models before
entering clinical trials.
Generating mammalian models of neurodegenerative diseases using CRISPR/Cas9
Cas9 has been well studied. It belongs to the class II CRISPR/Cas system which is the main protein
involved in small interfering CRISPR RNA (crRNA). CRISPR RNA often leads to the silencing of
invader viruses and plasmids [72, 85]. Several in vitro surveys have shown that Cas9 is guided by
gRNA composed of chimeric RNA. Chimeric RNA is composed of crRNA and tracrRNA. They are
sufficient to

Reflection About Failure
The fundamental foundations of our personality and the lifestyle we live is grounded in our failures of
the past, present, and future. We base our decisions in the experiences of the past and those choices
lead to our future. The lessons we learn in our failure are what make us grow as people and become
better versions of ourselves. I personally have tasted the bitterness of failure many times, it is only
after you are out of the pain or embarrassment you can realize that what you went though was not a
completely awful ordeal. Through my many graceful highlights I have learned to not make the same
mistakes and I have become smarter. There is no such thing as the perfect human being, we are born
imperfect and made to make mistakes. It is how we learn to overcome and grow out of hardships. The
most deadly failure is the one that does not allow us to experience defeat, it is the failure to take
action. If we are too afraid to put ourselves out there and experience new things or be vulnerable we
will never experience the full extent of life or what it means to be alive, human even. When we
hesitate because we are afraid of rejection, humiliation, pain, or the fear of failure, we are cutting
ourselves short of our true potential. We learn from a young age that failure equals shame and
discomfort through life experiences but we rarely remember that it is the experience of that failure that
allows us to mature. As an artist, failure is something commonly struggled with

Organic Food And Farming Benefits For Health
Organic Food and Farming Benefits for Health
To the casual shopper it may appear that one of the biggest differences between organic and non
organic food can be found on the price tag, however, it is important to realize that the true cost of food
is not necessarily the price listed on the price tag. Looking more into the quality, how its made and
where the food comes from, is beneficial in our choice of the food we pick. Picking organic food have
become ever so popular. Organic food is grown or raised using little or no synthetic fertilizers,
pesticides, or other artificial chemicals. Instead, organic farmers try to work with natural processes to
promote the health of their crops and livestock. For example, an organic farmer might apply compost
(decaying plant material) instead of chemical fertilizer to replenish the soil. Instead of using
pesticides, the farmer may rely on natural predators to control insect pests. (Funk Wagnalls New
World Encyclopedia)
Some people choose organic food because they prefer the taste. But there are many more factors that
influence the decision to choose organic food. One of the factors include that: Organic foods are
produced without the use of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). Genetically Modified
Organisms (GMOs). This entire topic of GMO s is a rather important topic in of itself, but going on
briefly about what it is, will help understand it better. GMO s are living organisms whose genetic
material has been artificially manipulated

Night Of The Long Knives Essay
By the end of 1933 Hitler s power was extensive but not total. His power was potentially at risk from
three sources: the President, the army and his SA (Stormtroopers). Hindenburg could still, in theory,
dismiss Hitler and the other Nazi s in the cabinet, the army could use its strength to force Hitler from
office and the SA could endanger Hitler s relations with the army by carrying out further acts of
hooliganism and demanding more power for themselves. By the end of 1934, all three problems had
been largely solved due to the Night of the long Knives. After the Reichstag election of July 1932, the
Nazi s were the largest single party but not a majority party. Hindenburg allowed Von Papen who was
the current chancellor of Germany at that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It helped Hitler to establish his dictatorship as all men in the army swore a personal oath to Hitler.
Although, there were other events too that helped Hitler to consolidate his power such as The
Reichstag Fire, The Enabling Act etc. The night of the long knives was very important because of the
various reasons listed below. The army supported Hitler when he proclaimed himself as the Führer
(leader) of Germany. The army also had the power to remove all the opponents. The murders of
General Von Schleicher and Von Kahr demonstrated that any resistance from within the army would
be brutally put down. This caused a fear in people s mind and they were scared to act against Hitler.
Therefore the night of the long also resulted in reducing Hitler s opponents. One of the most
significant outcomes of the night of the long knives was that Hitler gained support of the rich
industrialists, who further helped him to establish his power. He was also able to ban all other political
parties besides the Nazi s. Therefore, the night of the long knives helped Hitler to gain support of
many people and become the supreme dictator of Germany. Hitler rewarded the SS for their loyalty
and for carrying out the purge. Therefore Hitler got the chance to build up his new group, the SS. He
also apprised the SS that they could be an independent force. By 1936 1937, Himmler would complete
the consolidation of all German police forces under SS control

A Brief Biography Of Susan B. Anthony
Susan B. Anthony lived in a time where there were very few rights for women and African Americans.
A strong woman, Anthony was a famous suffragist, often credited with gaining the right to vote for
women, an abolitionist as well as a writer. Her life was devoted to finding equality for all Americans
and she had a significant impact upon the history of America.
Susan Brownell Anthony was born to a Quaker family on the day of February 15, 1820. Even in her
early childhood she spent much of her time with community service. She had a large family, being the
second oldest of eight children, with her mother and father. Her father was a cotton mill owner. At the
age of six, Susan s father moved the family to Battenville, New York and she began attending a
Quaker school. Unfortunately, it was around this time that the business of her father failed and
Anthony had to move back home to help make money for her family as a teacher. The Anthony s ...

She went on to contribute another book called The Life and WOrk of Susan B. Anthony: A Story of
the Evolution of the Status of Women.
Susan B. Anthony continued to pursue rights for women up until her late years. The zenith of her
journey was in 1905 when she received the chance to talk to Theodore Roosevelt during his
presidency to persuade him to give women the right to vote. Unfortunately, her death shortly followed,
in 1906 on March 13 at the age of 86. It was a cruel end for her. She had given up the greater majority
of her life pursuing liberty and the right to vote for women yet she was not able to see it in her
lifetime.
It took fourteen long years after her death that the 19th amendment was passed which gave women the
right to vote in the year 1920. 73 years after her death she was given the ultimate honor for her
devotion and her commitment to her cause. Her picture was placed on the dollar

They would also give the Indians a peace medal with Jefferson on one side and two hands clasping on the other, as well as some form of presents (often trade goods). He went on to add that the Shoshones and Nez Perces mortal enemies of the Blackfeet had already agreed to this peace, and would be receiving guns and supplies because of it. To the Blackfeet, American plans represented a direct threat. As far as the Indians were concerned, giving guns to their adversaries only could result in a weakening of Blackfeet power. • 8. Ecological Restoration At This Site Essay Late stage shrubsThis site is located on Gunn Road on the outskirts of Matamata, Waikato. A tributary of the Waitoa River flows through the middle of the site. The majority of the site has wet soils, and in winter some areas can be prone to flooding, particularly nearer to the stream. Regardless the ground tends to be boggy, particularly in winter. Consequently, this was historically conifer forest or swaps (Waikato Regional Council, n.d. b). Currently, willow, grass and blackberry dominate the majority of the site, with some existing flax plants in the wetter areas. For the most part the stream is fenced and surrounded by a dairy farm, however often cows still get near the waterway, due to weak fences. It is clear that this is a degraded site, with little indigenous flora or fauna. Consequently, there is a need for ecological restoration at this site. Ecological restoration is the process of managing a site to return it to its historic state in turns of ecosystem health and sustainability. The general aim for this restoration is to eventually restore eight hectares of land adjacent to tributaries to the Waitoa River to native forest, with the intention for future restoration projects to continue along the Waitoa River to develop further riparian zones and forest patches. • 11. The Separation Of Powers Of The State And Its Powers A constitution is a set of laws and other sources or principles that explains the way in which the state is established. In short, it is a framework that explains the structure of the state and its powers. Unlike most modern states, Britain does not have a codified constitution but an unwritten one that exists in an abstract sense. It delineates the powers of the different branches of the state, and the restrictions placed on the institutions and on state power. It is comprised of various acts of Parliament, court judgements and conventions that have evolved over a long period of time. Since Britain does not have a written constitution, it enjoys the luxury of legislative supremacy. In UK terms the separation of powers, parliamentary supremacy, and the rule of law are all extremely important doctrines that pervade the constitution. The separation of powers is a doctrine or a theory that describes the way in which a state organises the distribution of power and function between its different branches. It was originally a work of the 18th century French commentator, Montesquieu, whose principles had a huge impact on the English constitution system. He also coined the term trias politica or separation of powers . His doctrine said that in a nation which has political liberty as the direct object of its constitution, no one person or body of persons ought to be allowed to control the legislative, executive and judicial powers, or any two of them. Although it is currently a politically dividing topic due to environmental concerns (United States Environmental Protection Agency, 2010), the concept behind fracking has been around for over 150 years (Roberts, 1866), and has been in use in its current state for over 60 years (Clark, 1949). This report will cover the early history of fracking, and its early technological advancements. What is Hydraulic Fracking? Fracking is a well stimulation technique used most commonly in oil and gas production. Hydraulic fracking is usually performed on shale reserves, but conventional wells are also able to be fracked. Fracking is an extremely important technique; not only increasing production rates of wells but also adding approximately 20 trillion m3 of natural gas and 9 billion bbl of oil to the US reserves (Montgomery Smith, 2010). Fracking follows this basic process: 1. Fracking fluid is pumped into the well under high pressure (United States Environmental Protection Agency, 2010). 2. This flows into the (perforated) reservoir rock, and creates hairline fractures (United States Environmental Protection Agency, 2010). 3. The only way to perfect this image would be to make the photograph more visible. Coincidentally, instead the fadedness gives the portrait tonality. The daguerreotypes at this time were more distinct to its suitor in that regards. However, the image still keeps the person in the image interested. The second image is photographed by Ludwig Angerer of Elizabeth of Austria, 1860. The veracity of the image gives depth to the composition of the portrait. The full length of this portrait is close to the appeal of what the photographer was aiming for. Elizabeth s pose reveals conventionality. The brilliance of the skylight is shown which gives the portrait truthfulness. Thirdly, Nadar photographed Theophile Gautier on salted paper. This portrait brood s personality in the way it is opposite sides of the viewer. The person posing for this image has equal shades of light and dark. The man in this portrait exudes aristocrat. His personality comes across to the viewer as highly individualistic and straightforward. Overall, these three portraits are sheer brilliance. The lifelike images are true to life and conform to utmost perfection. This further supports Poe s claim ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), public health data points shows that the global burden of breast cancer in women, measured by the number of times something happens, death, and financial based costs, is large and on the rise. Worldwide, it is estimated that more than one million women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and more than 410,000 will die from the disease (GIVE SOURCE). In low and middle income countries (LMICs), the setup and funds for common examination of medical breast examinations (such as mammography) are often not available. In these settings, breast cancer is therefore diagnosed at late stages and women may receive poor ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, a number of studies have depicted the need for BC screening/early detection in LMICs to prevent early deaths of women presenting with late stage at diagnosis. Yet, many complex issues harvest in the context of planning and implementation of BC screening in LMICs. So far, mammography has remained the main examination of BC screening throughout the world. Adequate evidence exists from some randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that mammography screening is associated with significant reductions in BC mortality. But in order to be effective, mammographic screening programs must be of high quality, with appropriate targeting and of sufficient frequency. In LMICs, BC incidence is lower and occurs more in younger age groups when breast tissue is dense. Promoting a need for another, more appropriate screening examination to take place. Also, there is a lack of resources for implementing any population level screening programs using mammography. Running a mammographic screening program becomes impossible and pointless in LMICs since the costs are too high and the benefits are insignificant. Maximum cost benefit can only take place if screening is done in an age group which has a sufficiently high incidence of BC and sufficient ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An exception to this recurring plot point is The Glass Menagerie. The play was written in 1944 by the playwright Tennessee Williams. Williams wrote the story without a physical antagonist, but rather an abstract notion of hopelessness that is bestowed upon the characters. Every character in the Wingfield family struggles with this in their own way. With these struggles, the climax of each character can be derived. The Glass Menagerie was written with the theme of the play as a priority, rather than the story being the conductor of the theme. In the story, Tom battles hopelessness more than any other character. She struggles with being a recluse in her own home, crippled by her own leg, yet she shows compassion to her counterparts when they exude greed. She is not the main protagonist, but the whole plot revolves around her and her symbols. Every character portrays their own version of Laura onto her in an attempt to project their unfulfilled desires into Laura. The most obvious case is from Amanda, who continuously uses her own youth as a way to try and mold Laura into her former self. Jim on the other hand sees Laura as a unicorn, an exotic creature that does not exist in this world. Just like how unicorns are different from other horses, Laura is different from other girls. The unicorn being glass only furthers how easily Laura takes in the light of other people (their projections on her), and she reflects them out to please the projector. • 26. The New Single, By Shawn Mendes Pop artist, Shawn Mendes, in his new single, Stitches, attempts to move on after a brutal break up. Mendes s purpose is to notify his ex lover that he will be healed from his endless tries of getting over her. He aims for an audience that he can relate to, who is going through a break up, and is well aware of the painful process of getting over the significant other. People may consider that their life is ruined because they are no longer in a relationship with the person that they love, but recovering from a break up is evidence of growth and also hope to love again. At the beginning of the song, Mendes executes the lyrics at a slow pace. The tempo at the start of the song is soft and modifies a settling feeling. During this soft tempo, Mendes mentions that his ex lover s words are agonizing and cut deeper than a knife. This represents the suffering and heartbreak of the lover who cannot handle the breakup. Next, it shifts from a soft tone to an upbeat tone once Mendes says, Got a feeling that I m going under. This upbeat tone produces the rising of anxiety and fluster which signifies the build up to the end of the relationship. Ending a relationship is often a long and complex process, with repeated conflicts and reconciliations. (Smith and Mackie) A breakage to a commitment to the other leaves heartache and leads to grief. When love is not reciprocated, the rejected person suffers the pains of heartbreak and a loss of self esteem. The only way to overcome this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Genome Editing Essay Genome editing of germ line cells using CRISPR/Cas9 system Recent studies suggest that genome editing of germ line cells is an effective strategy for mutated gene correction in sperms and oocytes for the inhibition of onset of inherited disorder. The first time, germ line genome editing in human by CRISPR/Cas9 system , was carried out to correct mutation of HBB (Beta globin) gene in zygote of β thalassemia patients by homologous DNA recombination (HDR) [80, 81]. • 28. Reflection About Failure The fundamental foundations of our personality and the lifestyle we live is grounded in our failures of the past, present, and future. We base our decisions in the experiences of the past and those choices lead to our future. The lessons we learn in our failure are what make us grow as people and become better versions of ourselves. I personally have tasted the bitterness of failure many times, it is only after you are out of the pain or embarrassment you can realize that what you went though was not a completely awful ordeal. Through my many graceful highlights I have learned to not make the same mistakes and I have become smarter. There is no such thing as the perfect human being, we are born imperfect and made to make mistakes. It is how we learn to overcome and grow out of hardships. The most deadly failure is the one that does not allow us to experience defeat, it is the failure to take action. If we are too afraid to put ourselves out there and experience new things or be vulnerable we will never experience the full extent of life or what it means to be alive, human even. When we hesitate because we are afraid of rejection, humiliation, pain, or the fear of failure, we are cutting ourselves short of our true potential. We learn from a young age that failure equals shame and discomfort through life experiences but we rarely remember that it is the experience of that failure that allows us to mature. As an artist, failure is something commonly struggled with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Organic Food And Farming Benefits For Health Organic Food and Farming Benefits for Health To the casual shopper it may appear that one of the biggest differences between organic and non organic food can be found on the price tag, however, it is important to realize that the true cost of food is not necessarily the price listed on the price tag. Looking more into the quality, how its made and where the food comes from, is beneficial in our choice of the food we pick. Picking organic food have become ever so popular. Organic food is grown or raised using little or no synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial chemicals. Instead, organic farmers try to work with natural processes to promote the health of their crops and livestock. For example, an organic farmer might apply compost (decaying plant material) instead of chemical fertilizer to replenish the soil. Instead of using pesticides, the farmer may rely on natural predators to control insect pests. (Funk Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia) Some people choose organic food because they prefer the taste. But there are many more factors that influence the decision to choose organic food. One of the factors include that: Organic foods are produced without the use of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). His power was potentially at risk from three sources: the President, the army and his SA (Stormtroopers). Hindenburg could still, in theory, dismiss Hitler and the other Nazi s in the cabinet, the army could use its strength to force Hitler from office and the SA could endanger Hitler s relations with the army by carrying out further acts of hooliganism and demanding more power for themselves. By the end of 1934, all three problems had been largely solved due to the Night of the long Knives. Although, there were other events too that helped Hitler to consolidate his power such as The Reichstag Fire, The Enabling Act etc. The night of the long knives was very important because of the various reasons listed below. The army supported Hitler when he proclaimed himself as the Führer (leader) of Germany. The army also had the power to remove all the opponents. The murders of General Von Schleicher and Von Kahr demonstrated that any resistance from within the army would be brutally put down. This caused a fear in people s mind and they were scared to act against Hitler. Therefore the night of the long also resulted in reducing Hitler s opponents. One of the most significant outcomes of the night of the long knives was that Hitler gained support of the rich industrialists, who further helped him to establish his power. He was also able to ban all other political parties besides the Nazi s. Therefore, the night of the long knives helped Hitler to gain support of many people and become the supreme dictator of Germany. Hitler rewarded the SS for their loyalty and for carrying out the purge. Therefore Hitler got the chance to build up his new group, the SS. He also apprised the SS that they could be an independent force. By 1936 1937, Himmler would complete the consolidation of all German police forces under SS control ...
