This document contains instructions for two assignments: a description assignment and a reflection assignment related to designing a speaking test. For the description assignment, students are asked to work in pairs to select pictures to construct a speaking test, write specifications for the test, decide on a scoring procedure, pilot the test with a student, and attach the results. For the reflection assignment, the document explains that students created a speaking task with three parts around a chosen topic and images. They applied the task by having freshmen students participate and found that carefully analyzing the rubrics in advance was most important.
