- It is a competition between grades : the more cans, bottles and ink cartridges you bring the more money you will get to do special projects. Recycling Rules (see flyer)Empty rinsed containers (CRV recyclables only)No milk containers of any kind, no glass.3 bags : separate aluminum, plastic and ink cartridges no matter how small each bag might be.Mark all bags with your grade.

- Buy only what you are going to use or eat Buy smart. Pick the item with less packaging or the one more easily recyclable. Say “No thank you” to any unnecessary item such as plastic bag.
- Buy reusable items Reusable water bottle (may be used for juice) Cloth bag or napkin (make sure that you bring them back home) Rechargeable batteries... Give or trade things you don't need anymore Books (books exchange Marshall Lane) Toys Clothes...

- Composting food scrap produce fertilizer. Meat and milk products are not recommended as they smell and attract animals. You may start a backyard pile with yard trimming and kitchen scraps, adopt some worms in a bin or just burry kitchen scraps in you back yard. It is a very efficient way to cut waste.

- Old computers, cell phones, TV or any electrical equipment , batteries and light bulbs contain hazardous materials that need special treatment . Store your old electrical equipments until the next ML e-waste event.They will be dismounted and some parts will be sold and reused. The school will get money.
