1. Upcoming Field Trips!

The school will be taking a field trip (in two groups) to Butler's
Orchard in Germantown, Maryland. We will take a hayride, pick
a pumpkin, play some games, and see some fall foliage.
$6.75 per person (Chaperones must pay as well). All payments must be made in the
form of a check made out to Creative Minds International PCS. Payment is due on
Wednesday, October 10 for K-2 and on Tuesday, October 16 for Pre-School and Pre-
Kindergarten.
There is no food available for purchase at the Orchard. We will have bagged lunches for
students who get school lunch. Please send in a bagged lunch for other students.

Beautification Event

In recognition of Earth Day, please join Mundo Verde PCS, Creative Minds International PCS and other
community members for a park and community beautification event. We will meet at the park on 16th and
Lamont Street at 10:00am. We will then start with cleaning the park and spread out throughout the
neighborhood to show our support of a litter-free area.
The DC Department of Public Works (DPW) will be providing us with at least 25 rakes, 25 brooms, 10
shovels and 100 trash bags. If you are able to, please bring gloves and any additional trash bags or
equipment.

Parque y La Comunidad

En reconocimiento del Día de la Tierra por favor, únase Mundo Verde PCS, Creative Minds International
PCS y otros miembros de la comunidad para un día de embellecimiento del parque y la comunidad. Nos
reuniremos en el parque a las 10:00am. Vamos a empezar con la limpieza del parque y se extendió por todo
el barrio para monstar nuestro apoyo a una zona libre de basura.
DPW DC se nos proporciona al menos 25 rastrillos, 25 escobas, 10 palas y 100 bolsas de basura, pero por
favor trigan guantes y bolsas de basura o euipos adicionales, so son capaces de hacerlo.
