are external to the CPU, main memory and power
supply. These includes:
Thumb drive, a floppy disk drive, a hard disk
drive, serial ports, parallel port(s), USB ports, a
keyboard, a mouse, a network interface, CD-ROM
or DVD-ROM drive, a sound system, a modem, a
monitor, tape drives, scanners, printers, plotters,
and audio, video input devices, etc.
