This document provides an overview and review of the open education system at Cairo University in Egypt. It notes that Cairo University was established in 1908 and currently has over 16,000 Egyptian students and has educated over 7,500 foreign students. The open education center began in 1991 with 5,100 enrolled students and now has over 30,000 current students across 7 faculties and 25 programs. Cairo University has enhanced the open education system through improved technological resources like online courses and exams, a YouTube channel, and website. It also has strong human resources with 700 faculty and 300 staff. The university is working to address challenges and further improve the system through media campaigns, quality standards, guidance, and new programs.
