Question 1 –
From the data, it is evident that most people either read/buy a magazine once a month or
never. Therefore, for my magazine I am going to distribute it monthly.
Question 2 –
When asking people to fill out my questionnaire I made sure to ask people within the target
audience age; as you can see indie rock was the most common genre, and rock being the
least popular.
Question 3 –
This was a qualitative question so it was harder to collect results. The most popular
band/artist was ‘Arctic Monkeys’, ‘Oasis’ and ‘Beyoncé’. Therefore, in my magazine I will use
Arctic Monkeys and Oasis, however, not Beyoncé as she is not an indie rock artist and
doesn’t suit my target audience.

For this question, no one rated it 1-5 so I didn’t include it in the chart. Most people said that
music featured in their everyday life very strongly, at a rate of 10. Therefore, it’s evident that
a music magazine would be successful because music impacts most people a lot.
Question 5 –
Most people would pay £1.00-£2.99, therefore, I will make sure my magazine is within that
price range to suit my target audience.
Question 6 –
For this question, 15 people said that the first thing they notice on the cover of a magazine
was the main image. The other 5 people said the masthead. Therefore, I will make sure I
make the main image and masthead stand out to the reader.

This was another qualitive question. Most people said they listen to music every day and
enjoy to sing along. Two people said they attend gigs regularly, one person was a dancer
and four people played instruments. This shows how big of an impact music has on everyday
life – one person even said they cannot live without music.
