I have learnt a great deal of technologies, from knowing how to
use a camera to learning the basis’s on a editing programme.
The camera I used was a ‘canon’ camera, I borrowed this from
one of my friends, so learning how to do everything from
focusing it on a shot, zooming in and out and to record was
very informative. By experimenting with the different camera
angles I soon found out which ones looked professional with
the camera and which didn’t. I also soon got the hang of
smoothly recording clips from one another so when it came
to the editing section it all fitted together to look smooth and
extremely professional.
Once my film was all recorded, my next step was finding the
right software to use for my editing.
For my editing I used a software on the Mac's called ‘Final Cut
Pro’, this was a very complicated piece of software and
required me to ask people for some help as I didn’t have a
clue what I was doing from time to time. Because of my lack
of knowledge towards Final Cut Pro, I used Google and also
YouTube to get my understanding of the software before I
started to edit any of my film.
Final Cut Pro allowed me to add music or sound effects on to
any of my clips from the list of sounds in the bottom right
corner; It also allowed me to add different transitions to make
my film run smoothly without any glitch effects.
Overall, the piece of software I used was perfect to edit with one
I got the hang of it.
I also used a range of other technologies to allow me to
present my coursework in a range of different formats.
By using ‘Blogger’ means I was able to host all of my
information in a professional style; It also was able to
show me when and how I did things across the project. I
was able to post posts in a chronological order so
everything ran smoothly. Blogger also allowed me to
embed different other technologies onto it, for example I
used; SlideShare, Prezi, Powerpoint and post pictures
from Canva. This taught me some presentation skills,
and this creativity was shown through my two minute
opening.
