- 2. Is Immorality a mainstream or independent film? Immorality is a mainstream film this is because we use films like: To inspire Immorality. Immorality is also a mainstream thriller due to it following the traditional thriller conventions. One of the main ones of these films to inspire Immorality was Sin City and Layer Cake. These films inspired our characters where as Essex Boys and Layer Cake inspired the settings for the film. The Third man and Black Dahlia inspired the voice over as well as the other films.
