A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

1. Shaun Of The Dead Marketing
A marketing campaign is important for a film as it enables the promotion for viewers to either
buy franchises within the film, tickets to see the filmor merchandises within the film. When
marketing, a lot of things are taken in consideration such as the trailer for the film, posters,
billboards, website and other things such as chat shows where stars will visit to talk about the
movie in hope to get viewers to watch the film and press junkets/red carpet events where the
film will be premiered and stars will also talk about their views of the film and their opinion on
it. I'm going to talk about the marketing campaign of working title's Shaun of the dead.
To start with the trailer of Shaun of the dead, the trailer depicts the entire film genre. It shows
the film as being a rom zom com and has a narrator telling the brief story of Shaun life and how
he has to step up from his sofa and be a man to save his girlfriend's life and everyone close to
him in this zombie apocalypse. The trailer features some of the soundtrack within the film and
has credits of the cast in the film, producers, directors, editors and also the production
companies. Similarily, the Tv spots are similar to the trailer but consist of a shorter time.
They’ve been two TV spots that have advertised Shaun of the dead on DVD and its Blu-ray
release.

story of Shaun of the dead for viewers to get an idea of what Shaun of the dead is about, the
trailer for the film, information about the cast and crew so viewers can get an inside look on
what stars portrayals are, where to buy merchandises such as DVD, soundtrack and there are
even movie clips and photos viewers can view. Beside this, the website has a distinct look with
2. zombies featured in Shaun of the dead as the website background making it eye candy for
viewers. There also other movies the website promotes such as Hot Fuzz which was also
directed by the director of Shaun of the dead (Edgar Wright).
This is the theatrical poster for Shaun of the dead. The poster promotes the filmas a rom zom
com and within the poster you can see it features Simon Pegg (Shaun) holding flowers while
being surrounded by zombies and Shaun is highlighted whereas the zombies are not. The
poster has a ironic rhetorical question as a caption saying: Ever felt like you were surrounded by
zombies? in relation to Shaun being surrounded by zombies. The poster also has credits to
people involved in Shaun of the dead and the date of when Shaun of the dead is released in
cinemas. There’s also a website link within the poster to.
There was a zombie walk held by ZenithOptimedia on behalf of United International Pictures
with "infected zones" appearing in London, Birmingham and Manchester. This zombie walk was
held due to promotion of the Shaun of the dead filmreleasing in April the 9th 2004. They were a
lot of good criticism due to this event and a lot of people were inspired to visit cinemas to was
Shaun of the dead. Beside this, this event aloud people to be entertained and helped bring the
cause of a lot of other zombies films In the past to be talked about and people celebrating the
love for zombie films.
3. An interview was held by mymovies.net featuring Simon Pegg with the following release of
Shaun of the dead. Simon Pegg besides being an actor of the movie is also a co-writer of the
movie. Simon Pegg explains how he wanted to make a different movie consisting of elements to
do with romantic comedy and Horror. Considering horror is a popular genre and the popularity
of zombie films Simon Pegg wanted to depict the fact that even when in a zombie apocalypse
Shaun and the others still try and adapt to their normal lives. Simon Pegg then went on to
explain his favourite scene in Shaun of the dead:
