The film 'Evergreen Woods' will tell the story of a wood where two killers live and murder or make disappear all who enter. The title sequence will use camera effects to set an ominous tone and introduce questions about the killers' motives and identities. Independent British funding will be sought to keep costs low and profits high by using unknown actors rather than big stars. Various film techniques like cross-cutting and sound design will be used to disorient the viewer.

1. Pitch<br />Our film will be called ‘Evergreen woods’. The basic storyline is that there is a wood and 2 killers live there, and all who enter are either murdered or are never found again.<br />Title Sequence<br />In our title sequence we will use camera effects, which will link into our film because we will also use them in the rest of the film. The enigma we will try to get across is the question of ‘what is the motive of the killers?’ and ‘ who are the killers?’<br />How we will show the titles<br />We will show the titles through magazine cut outs and the usage of a lot of cross cuts. For this we drew inspiration from the film ‘se7en’. Our aim is to disorientate the viewer by constantly shifting though camera angles and constantly switching from soft music to loud heavy breathing.<br />Funding<br /> Our film will be a British independent film, this is because if we make it British we will be able to get funding from the UK film council. Also, the reason we will make it an independent film is because it will cost less to make and hopefully then produce a bigger profit. In our film we will use not so well known actors, firstly because people will not have a pre-conceived image of the actor, therefore the character the actor plays in our film will be original. A second reason for these unknown actors is that it wont cost as much as appose to a big named actor for example, Tom Cruise who recently got $20,000,000 plus 30% of the profits of the film.<br />Visual styles<br />In our film we will use visual styles such as cross cuts, jump cuts, graphic match, elliptical editing, cutaways and multi takes. Through these will we hope to achieve the disorientation of the viewer. In our film sound will be a major key concept, through sound we will try to give the audience a sense of emergency and panic, we will do this through; silence, ambient sound, synchronous music, sound motifs and sound bridges. Along with the editing there will be different camera shots such as; long shots, medium close ups, extreme close ups, blocking shots, birds eye view, tracking shots, pan and canted angles, this will help with the disorientation of the viewer and the ultimate goal of the sound.<br />Our pitch in 25 words<br />Will she escape the twisted killer duo of brother and sister?
