Buer media distribute a wide variety of
magazines. Even some niche target ones such
as Kerrang. Choosing a company like this
would be a good idea as My magazine is also
aimed a niche target audience. A company like
this would also help as they would already
know what my target audience do/don’t like
and therefore would be able to help through
the publishing process and would know the
right places to distribute it to.
4. Advertising
• Audiences similar to my magazine like
Nme, Kerrang and Rocksound all mainly use social
networking to advertise their products. Places
like twitter and facebook are the most popular.
• I would therefore use social networking sites as
my main source of advertising. Things like posters
at gig’s and festivals would also be helpful as that
is a place my target audience join in large groups
most commonly.
5. Distribution
• My magazine would be sold in major shops
like HMV and WHSmith as they sell wide
varieties of these products.
• My magazine would also be available in most
newsagents/supermarkets.
• Through the proliferation of web 2,0 it would
also be available online each month or
reader’s could sign up to a subscription
service.
