What kind of media institution might distribute your product and why?
I think my media product would benefit most from being distributed by a major distributor such as a conglomeration distributer i.e. ‘Frontline’.

Why I have chosen Frontline?

I have chosen this company to distribute my magazine because although, the magazine itself does not fit into the mainstream category, I feel it would
be suitable due to the fact that the retailers associated with ‘Frontline’ are most fitting with my target audience. I also think that by making my product
available in many places and by having a high level of marketing that ‘Frontline’ offers, my media will reach more people therefore, it will become more
successful.

The types of retailers that ‘Frontline’ will distribute my media product to?

The types of retailers that ‘Frontline’ will distribute my media product to are small/local newsagents as well as major supermarkets and other
appropriate retailers, this means that my media product will be available and eas to get hold of. From my audience profiling in the planning stages,
suggests that these stores would be appropriate as well as convinient as they are likey to be existing customers to these retailers.

Another reason I have chosen this company is because they offer multi-platform consumption. This means that my media product will be available
both physically and online. This is suitable for my target audience because they will use the internet for many things e.g. social networking and online
shopping/buying, this is due to age and generation.

One key aspect is also that Frontline is only hired to distribute my magazine, this means my magazine ‘Signature’ will still be an independent
company, this is beneficial as my magazine does not fit in with the mainstream labelling of Frontline, so this particular distributer may try an change
the magazine altering the audience appeal. By staying independent it will prevent this from happening. By also staying independent it means that the
production and form of the magazine will not be controlled, this will make the process more expensive however, in the long run will create more prfit as
more copies will be sold due to the high level of marketing strategies.
