How can an app help Public Works Departments?
Apps are not just for email and gaming. Mobile Solutions can play a huge role in helping Public Works Departments manage their business more effectively by:

- Acquiring accurate field data faster
- Keeping staff focused
- Making info more accessible
- Getting work done right – the first time
- Enabling on-the-go training
This quick 12-slide presentation provides a brief overview of some mobile solution opportunities available to Public Works Depts.
Yoneda lemma and string diagrams
This document defines categories, functors, and natural transformations in category theory. Social media would be heavily used to advertise the magazine online, matching how NME currently advertises. In print, the magazine would be distributed widely through retailers like supermarkets and newsagents to achieve mainstream reach.

IPC Media and Bauer Media are potential media institutions that could distribute the magazine. IPC Media distributes NME, a popular magazine among the target audience. As a large UK media company, IPC Media also provides more advertising options. Choosing one of these established distribution companies would help get the magazine advertised and available to readers.

As a well-known company, IPC Media has established distribution networks and advertising opportunities that could help promote a new music magazine.

Bauer Media would be the best institution to distribute the media product because it has a large multimedia platform across Europe distributing over 300 magazines in 15 countries, as well as an online presence and TV/radio stations. It has successful music and entertainment magazines like Q, Mojo, and Kerrang that target different audiences. IPC Media could also work because it publishes popular magazines like NME that target the desired demographic, but Bauer is a better fit due to its wide multimedia reach and experience with music magazines. Distributors like Emap that focus on household goods would not suit the music magazine product.
Evaluation question 3
Bauer Media would be the most suitable company to distribute the magazine. While Bauer distributes three existing music magazines, they are aimed at different audiences, so there is room for a new magazine. Bauer is also successful at reaching their target audiences. Conde Nast would not be suitable as their magazines are aimed at an older audience and they lack experience with music magazines. Time Inc UK would also not be suitable as the target audience for the new magazine would already be buying their existing music magazines.

While targeting younger readers, the main distribution methods will be digital through apps and websites to make the magazine more economically and environmentally friendly compared to physical copies.

- 2. • I think IPC would own this magazine as they are probably the Uk’s leading distributer of magazines and have over 26 million global users each month. Now my magazine would be distributed in local newsagents and at events around the country. Hopefully this will help to increase its popularity and people will become more aware of the magazine. If this does happen then the focus will be on developing an online website and maybe a mobile app. Hopefully the use of synergy would help the audience to get all the latest news from the magazine and what they may expect in future issues. The impact of technology can be pivotal especially for emerging companies. How will my magazine be distributed
- 3. • This magazine will be circulated monthly at first depending on how popular it is, but it is important to use other magazines from your genre as examples those magazines would most likely always be distributed every month. Subscriptions will become available which again dependson the popularity of the magazine as theirs no point in offering it if there isn’t many people who will subscribe. The sales of magazines are declining and these days technology is taking over everything however music magazine sales haven’t been affected as much so maybe this should be taken advantaged of especially due to the fact this is a rap/hip-hop magazine. Also I would use technology to help the marketing. The technology would be helpful as it would help to attract more customers due to social media being so popular and widely used and many new companies/organisations do so.
