My magazine cover follows the conventional layout that most magazines follow, which includes a large bold title, bar code, dominant background image, and cover lines. I added some elements influenced by my research of other popular film magazines to make my magazine cover link with the film poster and trailer, such as placing the date in a more interesting location inspired by Empire magazine. The cover lines use quotes from the fictional film's Oscar campaign and trailer to give a sense of the genre and tie the materials together, while teasing that the viewer will "finally get to see the man in Charlie" since his face is obscured in the trailer.

2. Film magazines are another marketing tool used to advertise
the film and the actors in the films.
Typical magazine covers have a basic layout which they
nearly always conform too:
The large bold title
•A bar code
•A dominant background image
•Cover lines (can be quotes from the story inside of just basic
information)
Obviously magazines add to this to make theirs different and
stand out to be more interesting.

4. I also got the Idea to put the date information in a more
interesting place from EMPIRE magazine. I used this
idea because I think that it makes it look like you have
thought about the layout and where everything is rather
than just having a date floating around.

5. For my cover lines I have used
quotes from my made up Oscar to try
and catch the eye of the audience
and give them a general feel as to
what genre it is.
I have used little quotes from the
trailer so that they all link together.
And I have said ‘We finally Get To
See The Min In Charlie’ because
through out the trailer his face
remains shadowed and you don’t
really get to see the character.
This is also why I used an opaque
black box over his eyes as a ‘running
joke’ through out the 3 pieces of
course work.

6. I have also used the title of my film in the
same effect as I used in the poster. My idea
was influenced by TOTAL FILM, Sherlock
Holmes magazine cover. I have also used a
‘slogan’ from my trailer.
