In the preliminary task, they learned basic filmmaking rules like match on action and shot reverse shot. When creating the opening sequence, the student planned more extensively, researched conventions of their genre, and improved their skills with camera work, sound design using foley, and editing software. Looking back, the student sees significant progress in their abilities and confidence with filmmaking and expects their skills to continue improving on future projects.
