- 1. Preliminary Task Main Task The title I used on my preliminary task was situated at the top of the cover taking the width of the cover, whereas on the title on my main task it did the same but it had much more effects and anchored the rest of the text on the page much more The colour scheme of my preliminary task was not very eye catching or complementary. The contrast of colours I used were red black n white but I over used the white. This meant the text did not stand out thus it wouldnโt stand out well on the shelves in shops. I amended this mistake in the making of my main task by making the colour of my text for my subtitles and title The main images I used both follow the convention as they both take up the majority of the page and both give the attitude of the genre of magazine. However the photograph for my main task is more conventional as the dress code for the models is representative to the magazine and the quality of the photographs have much difference to each other as the photo for my main task is much more professional. This shows my understanding of the conventions of magazines The arrangement of cover lines I used on the main image changed as I produced my main task. The cover lines on my preliminary task crowd the page and cover the image. From learning the conventions of professional magazines I used the cover lines more to frame the image and not crowd the page in my main task
