1. I have learnt allot in the progress of making my main magazine, I feel like I have improved allot, and I have gained allot of knowledge of the codes and conventions of a professional magazine, and I have used this knowledge to created my main task, which is a more actuate than my preliminary task

2. Preliminary task With the title, on my preliminary task and the positioning statement it covers her face and almost over powers the picture, but on my main task, I placed the title behind the picture so the text doesn't over power the title. This helped me understand the codes and conventions of a magazine front cover. Main task I also made the title on my main task unique as it was part of the codes and conventions of a professional magazine front cover, the title on preliminary task was not unique as I just used a normal font.

3. The main image on both of my magazine front cover both take up the whole page of the magazine, so therefore they both follow the codes and conventions . However my main task, the main picture follows the codes and conventions more as the dress code is more specific, as she is dress’s to the genre of the magazine. Preliminary task Main task When on the other hand the other magazine wasn't, therefore it doesn't follow the codes and conventions as much. This shows that I have learnt more about the codes and conventions of a magazine front cover.

4. Preliminary task The colour scheme of my preliminary task wasn't really well thought out as the colours didn't connote the contents of my magazine. On the other hand the colours on my main task magazine all the colours mean something for example, I chose the colour blue as it was a favourite colour when I conducted a questionnaire. Main task On my main magazine the main cover line is white, this is because it will stand out more on the magazine front cover, on the preliminary I do not do this, therefore this shows that I have learnt about the conventions of a magazine front cover.

5. Preliminary task The layout on the preliminary does not follow the codes and conventions, also my main task does follow the layout of the codes and conventions as it has a main cover line and all of the cover lines are in line with each other. This shows that my understanding of the conventions of a magazine cover has developed. Main task On my main task I have made the font on the cover lines unique as I have added effect onto the text such as shadowing. On the other magazine I haven't, this shows that my understanding of conventions has developed.
