This paper discusses the design of a third-order continuous-time sigma-delta modulator aimed at next-generation wireless applications, achieving high dynamic range (DR) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) over a 20 MHz bandwidth. The proposed modulator utilizes a mixed feedback/feedforward loop filter architecture and demonstrates improved performance compared to discrete-time implementations, achieving SNR of 70.5 dB and DR of 70 dB. The critical integrator block has been designed with cadences using 180 nm CMOS technology to optimize performance.
