I always heard growing up, Great things can emerge from small beginnings . My
mom made sure that my 4 sisters and I know that. Being a child of two ministers, my
family has experience working with small businesses and ministries, for our church

My family then attended Family Christian Center (FCC) in Munster, Indiana. FCC is
a mega church with fancy lighting, a ginormous stage, and large screens. The pastor

Everyone enjoyed her company she always had a positive attitude. She helped those

Waters and many other teenage cancer patients tackling big themes of self awareness.
The movie adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars is an inaccurate representation of the

What is Corruption?
Corruption can mean so many things and can be interpreted in countless ways but
in the most simplistic way of explaining what it is, it is the misuse of judgment, the
struggle between what is right and what is wrong. No one really knows what led to
corruption, but some say it was religious reasons that led to this malfeasance,
meaning the devil, while others believe different. People in today s society tend to
relate this topic to politics because it is most commonly occurs within that faction of
society. Corruption is a reoccurring theme throughout The Crucible, it shows through
the political, McCarthyism, religious and personal reasons of the Colonial Era. The
Crucible takes place in the early England colonies in Salem, Massachusetts during
what we know as the witch trials. It is based on a group of girls involved in witch
like activities, who begin to accuse others of committing witchcraft just so that they
do not get into trouble. One girl controls the group, Abigail Williams, and she plots

Well, it s not actually quite that simple. The Mafia does a multitude of different
things. Some of these things include: murder, extortion, corruption of public officials,
gambling, labor racketeering, loan sharking, and tax fraud schemes. Nowadays, they

The History of the Canonization of the Bible The process by which the English
Bible, as it is known to the English culture today, was compiled is an extraordinary
thing to see. The Bible consists of two parts: the Old Testamentand the New
Testament. The process by which both Testaments were written and then canonized
into one book transpired over a period of many years. Once the canonization of the
Bible officially came to an end, it was translated into English. Since then, many
versions of the modern Bible have been made. Since the individual books of the

an appendix. In AD 1546, the Council of Trent convenes and settles once and for
all that the Old Testament consists of all forty six books ( Development of the
Difficult Canon ). The New Testament was canonized over a period of
approximately four hundred years (Stotesberg). From AD 50 125, the books which
in the end constitute the New Testament were written. Simultaneously, other books,
which did not end up being included in the final canon, were produced. These
books are the Epistle of Barnabas, the Didache, I Clement, the seven letters of

books were written, Christians realized that it was imperative that they gather and
consolidate this material before it became lost. Sometime before AD 100, ten of
Paul s letters were gathered and combined into their own canon. The Gospels

the canonization of Paul s letters. The Gospels and Paul s letters became the main
body of a new group of Scriptures that would soon become the New Testament. Soon
Acts, I Peter, I John, and Revelation were inserted into this body of Scripture.
Following this, the rest of the books were added to the New Testament (Barker).

Visiting A Jewish Day Service
On Visit number two I attended a Jewish morning service in a Temple. I went
along with Brady and we went to the Temple Beth Israel. We walked in and sat
down in the booths. The service was led by Rabbi Bruce Benson. A Rabbi, I
learned, is a Jewish scholar or teacher appointed by other Jewish leaders. We had
come on what they called Shabbat Morning, it was a special service because it was
to celebrate a young girl named Elexis Goldberg on her Bat Mitzvah. A Bat Mitzvah
is a Jewish tradition that celebrates a young man or women coming of age.
The Jews started with a greeting Shabbat Shalom which means peace and a way of
saying hello and goodbye. I guess it s about saying come or go with peace. The
Rabbi said that this was a time to separate themselves from the rest of the world, it is
a time to reflect.
Next the Rabbi, continued with a story time. He talked about a time where a young
Jew could only go to school if he had a pen and ink, so then the Jews got together
and donated money so young Jewish children could buy the materials and have the
opportunity to go to school. So. It s great that they have so many opportunities
especially now young Jewish women like Elexis.
Following the story, the first task was for Elexis to wrap herself in a type of robe.
Then she sang a song in Hebrew. She then proceeded to read from the Torah, (a Torah
is the old testament, it is a written law that has five books of the Hebrew Bible. These
books were given by God to Moses on Mount
