1. PSYCHOLOGY:
Psychology is the scientific study of human thought,
feelings and behavior
PERSPECTIVES:
The five major perspectives in psychology are;
• Biological
• Psychodynamic
• Behavioral
• Cognitive &
• Humanistic.
Each perspective provides its own view on the roots
of why you do and what you do
2. BEHAVIOR:
The behavior that we can directly observe an
inner process such as feelings, emotions,
thoughts and psychological reactions etc.
Human behavior can be:
i. Overt
ii. Covert
iii. Conscious
iv. Unconscious
v. Rational
vi. Irrational
3. OVERT BEHAVIOR
Overt behavior refers to actions that are
able to be observed. These include
behaviors such as whispering, walking,
yawning and jumping. People who study
human behavior sometimes classify overt
actions into categories by form, intensity,
duration and frequency.
5. CONSCIOUS BEHAVIOR
Conscious behavior is that you are fully
aware of doing, like making breakfast. you
know why you are doing what you do. You
fix and eat breakfast because you are
hungry.
6. UNCONSCIOUS
BEHAVIOR
Unconscious behavior would be the
automatic responses of the human
body, such as breathing, and your
heart beating. Unconscious behavior
is behavior that you do without
knowing your motivation
7. RATIONAL BEHAVIOR
Rational behavior is decision-making
process is based on making choices that
result in the most optimal level of benefit
or utility for the individual. Most
conventional economic theories are
created and used under the assumption all
individuals taking part in an action/activity
are behaving rationally.
8. IRRATIONAL
BEHAVIOR
Irrational behavior is one of the
most difficult behaviors to deal with.
When someone is being irrational,
they don't listen to reason, logic, or
even common sense. They are laser
focused to fulfill a need
