From the data by using Observation and Interview , the researcher
discovered various Psychological Problems experienced by the students
during speaking performances;
1. The students were not confident in their ability in their speaking
performances.
2. The students were lack of motivation and uninterested in learning
English.
3. The students were so ashamed that they avoid the practice of
speaking performances.
4. The students were afraid of making mistake.
5. The students were nervous when their name was called by the
teachers to answer English question.

Based on the findings and disscussion, 71,43% of IX C students of
MTs Arafah Bitung experienced anxiety during Speaking
performances, lack of confident (65,47%), fear of making mistake
(58,21%), shyness (51,19%), and lack of motivation (45,24%). From
these results, anxiety is the most dominant psychological problem in
speaking performances experienced by the IX C students of MTs
Arafah Bitung
