Reggio Emilia Project: Introduction.
• Reggio Emilia Method considers school
as a live being.
• Its main objective is to create a
friendly school environment for and
with students.
• It promotes collaborative work with
families, designing and redesigning
contents according to student´s needs.
• This method focusses on a hundred
“languages” to learn.
• Reggio Emilia envolves students and
teachers in the process of discovery
and learning
• Discovery learning is a kind
of teaching that is based on
the student finding things out working
collaboratively with pairs and teachers.
There are theories that suport
this way of teaching such as:
Gardner´s Multiple Intelligences
theory, Fullan´s Collaborative
work theory, Brunner´s Theory
of Discovery and Ausuvel´s
Significative Learning Theory.
