Research
• When doing research, I researched into lots of similar products to my
ideas and I based them off what I researched with my own twist of a
story.
• I used my research into to audience to try and find topics that would best
make a story that would be enjoy to view and that my audience finds
enjoyable and entertaining
• I think my weakness for my research is I didn't research into other topics
of topic meaning that I may not have found other videos to do with the
product I'm using that people would enjoy watching. I also had a small
audience for my research, and I could have expanded my audience
Planning
• When planning I referenced back to existing product and used them a
rough idea to make my product and used them as foundations to plan and
brainstorm my product. I decided to record something that is unscripted
and not planned and tell it as a story to the audience, through narration
and other things.
• I think the weakest thing I had when it came to planning is I'm heavily
depending on that I get a good recording and that I have a story that I can
tell. I had only a rough back-up plan, but I had no research about it so if I
had to fall back onto it, I would have had real issues in the future.
Time Management
• I spent my easter break recording the footage for my product, so that I
wouldn't fall behind when doing work at college and I could spend as
much time as I could on production.
• I spent a couple weeks working on research and other power points for
the product, getting them out of the way knowing that I could spend more
time editing the video. As well as working on editing the video in my free
time outside of college to spend as much time working on the video to
make sure it is made to the highest quality
Technical Qualities
• I'm happy with how the video tuned out I think that something that is
short yet shows the rise of power of a force and how you become blind by
negligence and that can lead to your downfall. I enjoy recording me
playing I found that it was most enjoyable, I feel like it gave me the most
creativity I had when I was making the project. It also made me feel like I
could make something that I was happy to make and that I would
personally enjoy to make. I also enjoyed editing the video, I found it
something enjoyable as I hadn't done it in a long time, and I found it
refreshing and different. But I think the main concept of the video relied
heavly on me getting something that is worth a story and that would be
entertaining for someone who has no clue about the topic to watch.
Aesthetic Qualities
• I think that my work was creative and unique because it is a story that only
I and my teammates/be I played with experienced, and I feel
like I moulded it into a story that I care about.
• I think I could improve it by making the in-game setting smoother as well
as making the overall audio (people talking) more balanced as I did find
myself having issues balancing clips of people talking and the in-game
audio. For example, Bailey would be louder than Scott when he is talking,
but I couldn't adjust that in the clip
Audience Appeal
• I made a video about a story that people can relate to (maybe to
something personal or some story they have heard before). I then made
the video as suspenseful, and as action packed as I can. I used the info I
had gathered from my research to guide me when I created the video to
make something that I would target my target audience best. I think I was
most appealing to my audience through action, I tried to show the most
action-packed parts of my recording in the video to appeal to my audience
Peer Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the fact that it quickly told us a story about
how two friends built up power and became
neglegant to all other threats to them until they
we're blindsided by their ignorance
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I would have shown/told more about the story
and what happened
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the action in the product I found that the
action parts of the video made the short video fun
and enjoyable to watch
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I would have extended more on the action as well
as the story I would have thought that having the
story where we see the revenge of the people in
the story
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked to moral of the story which was to not let
power corrupt you and it makes you blind to
things
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I would have expanded on the story more as I feel
like it needs more development
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree that I should have added more to the story and
that it need to be devolped on more, but I wanted to
make something short and easy to understand
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
– I think that the quality of the footage shoul dhave
been improved, I think I could have made it a lot
better looking when I was recording the footage
Peer Feedback Summary
I think I would change the quality of the footage and
develop the story more, to the aftermath and
events leading up to the true end of the story (our
revenge). I would also add more stuff to the video
when editing the video
