The student conducted research on stories to find one to adapt for an audio book recording. Their research provided ideas for the story and format but lacked detail. Planning helped determine using an audio book format with sound effects. Time management allowed completing the project on time, but more time could have improved editing and shortening. Feedback noted the fitting use of sound effects and music but a slow start. The student agrees the start was slow and actor occasionally misread lines, and would rerecord lines and shorten the beginning if repeating the project.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?
3. Research
• The strengths of my research was that it helped as It gave me an idea of
what story I wanted to use for my recording and how I wanted it to be
read. It helped my product because they gave me an idea of how other
stories are done. The weaknesses of my research is that I didn’t get much
information about the stories I was researching I could have improved by
spending more time on the research getting more could have made my
final product better by making it less basic.
4. Planning
• The strengths of my planning was that it helped me get my ideas for what I
wanted to create for my project I went through other ideas such as making
my story a clip for a cutscene in a video game, a radio show story or an
audio book in the end I decided to go with the audio book. Planning
helped my product to become better as I had a plan of what to do and
what I wanted to work on such as what sound effects i wanted, who I
wanted to record my story and what story I was going to use
5. Time Management
• I managed my time well with this project I I managed to get this done in
time I think If I had more time to work on my audio editing it would have
turned out better. I would have added some more sound effects in and
would have tried to make it shorter.
6. Technical Qualities
• In my editing I have backing music to fit with
the story just like other stories of the same
genre most stories also have sound effects
similar to mine
7. Aural Qualities
• I think it sounds good for the most part. It
wasn’t as creative because it was a pre
existing script that was censored to remove
some swearing. I would improve the script by
writing a new script and re record some lines
8. Audience Appeal
It appeals more towards the end as that’s when the story picks up and has
sound effects added instead of just music such as walking in the snow, a
tree falling and wind giving it an ominous atmosphere
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
• I liked the use of sound effects I think they
were in at the perfect times I also think the
backing music fit with the story's tone
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The beginning was a little boring because it went
on for a while
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the music in the background because it
made it have an atmosphere.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• It was a bit slow to start
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked the voice actor because his voice fit the
theme
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Even though I liked the voice actor he messed up a
little at times
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback? I agree that the actor was a good fit
for the role I also agree that the start was slow
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
• I don’t disagree with anything that was said in
my feedback
14. Peer Feedback Summary
If I was going to change anything I would get my actor to re record
some lines because he did mess up a few times another thing I
would change would be the beginning I would try to make it
shorter
