Alice Walker s Themes In Everyday Use By Alice Walker
Alice Walkers short story, Everyday Use, is a story that focuses on ones heritage, dignity and to figure
out the person that one really is. The story is narrated by Mama, who is Dee and Maggies mother. The
setting of the story mostly takes in place in the yard of the house between the 1960s and 1970s. Upon
reading the story, the reader is given a clear description of what the yard is like. Mama tells us, A yard
like this is more comfortable than most people know. It is not just a yard. It is like an extended living
room. When the hard clay is swept clean as a floor and the fine sand around the edges lined with tiny,
irregular grooves, anyone can come and sit and look up into the elm tree and wait for the breezes that
never come inside the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At one point Dee started pointing out things that she was going to take back with her to decorate her
house with. One of the items was a butter churn that had been passed along many generations and had
imprints of the people who had used it. Mama said, You didn t even have to look close to see where
hands pushing the dasher up and down to make butter had left a kind of sink in the wood. In fact, there
were a lot of small sinks; you could see where thumbs and fingers had sunk into the wood. Dee wasn t
aware of how long this churn had been the family which shows how much she wanted to run away
from her heritage. One of the most important symbols used in Everyday Use was the quilts, which to
Dee had no significant value before she had gone off to college; however, towards the end of the story
Dee requested to have the quilts after leaving them behind when going off to college, saying that she
was the only one who could appreciate them. Maggie being as kind hearted and shy as she was said
that Dee could have the quilts, Mama refused saying that she had already promised Maggie the quilts.
The quilts symbolize the family heritage and what the family went through during slavery. Mama
says, In both of [the quilts] were scraps of dresses Grandma Dee had worn fifty and more years

Wealth And Poverty Exposed In Half-Breed, By Maria Campbell
The book Half Breed by Maria Campbell tells the life story of Maria Campbell and the conditions she
lived in as a half breed women. Maria Campbell was born in a home where Cheecum, her father s
Cree grandmother, taught ancient Cree rituals and legends. Maria s strength came from the Cree
traditions and by Cheecum s wisdom. However, this was weakened by extreme discrimination and
poverty. When Campbell was twelve, her mother died, and that forced her to quit school and take care
of her younger siblings. Campbell then married at the age of fifteen in order to prevent her brothers
and sisters from being placed in an orphanage. Her attempt to keep her family united, however, was
unsuccessful; her husband, an abusive, alcoholic white man, reported ... Show more content on

Metis people were poor. They lived in harsh conditions, and this affected the way they were treated by
whites. Maria describes her family s house as being old and smelly situated out in the bush. Their
clothing were ugly and old, but it was all they had. The other kids had oranges, apples, and cakes and
all we had was moose meat, ugly dresses and patchy pants. (Campbell 50) A lot of the Metis children
were dropping out of school to work which is what Maria did. Metis children felt pressure to help their
families financially as a result of being poverty stricken and because of the racist feelings of white
people towards the
Poverty among metis women also occurred when a women is abandoned by her husband. Since a
women is usually at home with the children once her husband dies, or leaves her they have to come up
with a way to make money. This is evident Campbell s great grandma, when her husband passed away,
she had to take her son (Campbell s father) and labour for a white family. They had to cut brush for
seventy five cents an acre. Without her husband there to do the hunting for food and money she had to
make ends meet on her own, which was hard on her son, as he stated in the book he would cry because
it was so cold (Campbell

Analysis Of Fast Times At Ridgemont High
In Fast Times at Ridgemont High, characters engage in many expressive relationships that weaken the
status hierarchy often found in the high school setting. The mall is the common gathering place for
characters outside of school, and status relations are easily visible here (Heckerling, 1982). Since the
mall is such an integral part of the film, one witnesses the shift of status relations over time. According
to a 2000 study, For these young people the mall was a social magnet that drew them away from the
hassles encountered at home and school towards a haven of warmth and safety. He describes the mall
as a kind of neutral ground (Matthews, 2000). Mark Rat Ratner works in the mall as assistant to the
assistant manager at the movie theater, which is clearly not the most prestigious job on that side of the
mall. Stacy Hamilton, on the other hand, works at Perry s Pizza Parlor, a seemingly higher ranked job.
With a bit of help from Damone, however, Mark approaches Stacy at the mall to ask her on a date.
This begins the friendship and future romance between them, establishing an expressive relationship
that connects the slightly awkward Mark to the popular Stacy. The strict status hierarchy associated
with high schools is diminished when popular individuals like Stacy do not mind interacting with and
creating strong relationships with those viewed as less popular, such as Mark. Additionally, Stacy s
brother Brad contributes to the deconstruction of status relations. A

Age Related Positivity Effect On Children
Age Related Positivity Effect What is age related positivity effect? Is it a hearty personality that
fosters this age related positivity effect? Does the wisdom of life, and the many lessons, tears and
triumphs, teach some individuals the skills needed to obtain this positivity effect as they age? Andrew
Reed and Laura Carstensen completed a research paper entitled; The theory behind the age related
positivity effect, published in frontiers in psychology, September 27, 2012 (Reed Carstensen, 2012). In
this study age related positivity effect is defined the trend wherein age related individuals favor the

My hypothesis suggests that the largest impact on age related positivity effect is an individual that
encountered more challenges throughout their lives. When individuals work for their successes,
overcome obstacles and learn to cope with adversity, they have an opportunity to learn invaluable
lessons of perseverance. Aware of attention restoration theory (ART) that theorizes cognitively,
individuals naturally are stimulated by either negative or positive stimuli (Berman, Jonides, Kaplan,
2008). ART is based on research, examining the separation of attention into two fundamental areas:
involuntary attention, where ones attention is drawn to their natural positive or negative stimuli
(Berman, Jonides, Kaplan, 2008). The secondary occurs when your attention is captured by something
intriguing to your personal sensibilities, some stimuli that challenges your natural cognitive thought
pattern (Berman, Jonides, Kaplan, 2008). Therefore, theorizing individuals that encounter few
adversities within the first one third of their lives, lack the opportunity to learn challenging coping
skills, thus, leaving these individuals with a personal deficit when forced to endure hardships and
calamities in the later stages of their lives (Berman, Jonides, Kaplan, 2008). Once again, these factors

The Washington Redskins Name And Mascot
The Washington Redskins name and mascot represents one of the most recognized American Indian
figures in the United States. The controversial team name has been used since 1933, ever since
changing from its original name Boston Braves . It has sparked a nationwide outcry among the
remaining Native Americans who reside in the United States. Indians are forced to be reduced to
cartoon savages, ferocious warriors, and animal like heathens. After centuries of rampant dismissal,
removal, and destruction of this group, White Americans are still finding ways to subtly keep these
barriers in place which separates them. America s growing tolerance of racist stereotypes is disturbing.
The fact that many Americans do not realize that these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The slow yet brutal destruction of their population took place from 1492 1891. According to the legal
definition by the UN, this act is considered genocide which was perpetrated by both European
colonizers and the United States government. Tensions escalated and soon they were dehumanized to
the point where massacres such as Wounded Knee, hundreds of innocent Native Americans were
slaughtered by American soldiers. A significant precedent of the genocide was when White Americans
began making Indians the other . By viewing them as uncivilized creatures, it is easy to separate
oneself from a group so different. The use of Native American mascots is detrimental to young
American Indians and their psychological well being. When the mascot is constrained to a
stereotypical demeanor, it also constrains the way contemporary American Indians see themselves. In
mainstream media, Native Americans have little to no roles in movies, television, or music. The only
well known Indians in American culture are conventional characters created by large corporations
such as Disney s Pocahontas, Tonto from The Lone Ranger, and sports team s mascots. The few
representations of Native Americans are nationally broadcasted and provide misleading and immoral
assumptions on the targeted racial group. The select physical and behavior traits are then taken,
modified, and dramatized to ultimately create a character for entertainment and profit. The presence of

Comparing Freud And Nietzsche s On The Genealogy Of
This essay will focus on two theorists, Friedrich Nietzsche, a nineteenth century German philosopher
and cultural theorist and Sigmund Freud, a twentieth century Austrian neurologist and father of
psychoanalysis. I will be discussing Freud and Nietzsche and their theories on culture, primarily
concentrating on Freud s Civilization and its Discontents and Nietzsche s On the Genealogy of
Morals: A Polemic, but will also utilise some secondary reading in its analysis.
Nietzsche died in Germany in August 1900 at the age of 55, after many years of ill mental and
physical health. Before his death and due to his mental instability, Nietzsche s sister, Elisabeth Förster,
became editor of his works. Förster held extreme nationalistic views and rewrote ... Show more

Freud considered human beings to be instinctively violent creatures, believing that we have a
fundamental hostility ... to one another. He thought that humans were initially motivated by the
pleasure principle, which seeks gratification and is obeyed by the unconscious id. However, the
pleasure principle is restricted by the reality principle, which is developed by the ego in early infancy.
Without the reality principle, civilization could not function, as it enables us to postpone satisfaction.
As well as this, if the id remained unchecked and the pleasure principle always obeyed, the pleasure
we feel upon receipt of our desires would be lessened. As Freud asserts, what we call happiness ...

The results define Plain language it is easy to read, understand, and use the first time (

agencies to use clear government communication that the public can understand and use (

no less than clear writing from government ( PlainLanguage.gov ). This analysis of two government
documents will define plain language, determine whether the documents meet plain language
guidelines, and how the use of plain language impacts government accountability to citizens. Some of
the benefits of utilizing plain language include saving the government, the public and the customer
time and money, and it improves compliance with the requirements that the government imposes on
the public ( PlainLanguage.gov n.d.). Plain language means fewer calls from customers, less time for
users to solve a problem, higher compliance rates, and fewer customer errors ( PlainLanguage.gov ).
In addition to saving the government money, plain language helps improve the relationship between
the government and citizens by improving user satisfaction ( PlainLanguage.gov ). An example of the
benefits of plain language is in 2006, a team within the Arizona Department of Revenue started

Adjust the mower height. You may have raised the mower s height in the summer to ease up on the
lawn. Now it is time to return it to its normal two inch setting. However, for the final two cuttings of
the season, set the mower to its lowest possible setting and keep it there until you store it for the
season. As for how to mow your lawn in the fall, maintain a routine through November or whenever
the grass stops growing.
4. Feed your lawn. Bring out your seed spreader and apply a weed and feed solution composed of
weed killer and fertilizer. Do this in early fall, repeating the process two months later.
5. Overseed your lawn. Your lawn is now ready for overseeding, Apply a fall grass seed such as
ryegrass to the lawn and water it lightly twice daily until the new seed takes hold and reaches mower
height. Mow your lawn in the fall only when the grass is thriving and hasn t turned dormant. By the
way, ryegrass provides a protectant cover throughout the winter and will remain present until the
permanent grass emerges next spring explains the Clemson Cooperative Extension.
6. Consider aerating. You can help your lawn breathe better by aerating it early in the fall and again in
the spring. Aerating removes thatch, loosens soil and improves drainage, helping to maintain lawn

American Sniper Compare And Contrast
The term sniper means someone who shoots from a hiding place at a long range with extreme
accuracy. It is said that it takes the average sniper only 1.3 bullets to kill his target. In the military the
sniper has two jobs. The first job is to deliver long range fire on selected targets. The second job is is
to collect and report information about the battlefield. Snipers have been used in the united states
military as far back as the American Civil War, but they were called sharpshooters then. From then to
now both their techniques and technology have changed together. The first part of being a sniper that
has changed is their weapons. There are many differences between the American sniper and his rifle
between the American Revolution and Now. In the Revolutionary war snipers used their own hunting
rifles. By 1914, the bolt action rifle had been perfected, the ammunition used was much smaller
caliber and had a much higher velocity. The new rounds were also propelled by smokeless powder,
which allowed the sniper to hide much more effectively. The main sniper rifle used during the

Margaret Atwood s Surfacing Essay
Margaret Atwood s Surfacing
Throughout the book the narrator constantly intertwines the past and present as though it is side by
side. Atwood shows this in the opening sentence I can t believe I m on this road again . The use of the
adjective again reveals the narrator has been in this place in an earlier life. The narrator seems to
repress a lot of her past and continuously contradicts herself, which at times confuses the reader as we
can not tell whether she is talking about her past or her present and whether she regards it as home as
she says Now were on home ground foreign territory .
This links in with one of the key divisions in the story between the
Americans and the Canadians that is portrayed throughout ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This links in with when the narrator says I never identified it as mine and all the time it was in me I
felt like an incubator , as a mother she should not be feeling this way suggesting she lacks the
emotional intelligence as a nurturer and a lover, which is ironic as later we find she never actually
gave birth to this child.
Another key point of the narrators division from her emotion is when she refers to her child as it . This
impersonal singular pronoun reiterates the protagonist s lack of sentiment. This also links in with
chapter 3 as the narrator reveals her relationship with Joe as predominantly sexual cool he called it,
was the way I took off my clothes and put them on again later very smoothly as if I wee feeling no
emotion reiterating her lack of emotion/affection.
In chapter three we see the conflict between the two languages of
French and English starting to arise. On page twenty we see the first utterance occurring when the
waitress in the restaurants utters
Amburger impersonating the protagonist s English dialect. The narrator then states This is border
country . In this simple sentence it is clear to see the notion of division twenty protagonist holds. The
protagonist seems to be somewhat paranoid as to whether she belongs in this place.
Again on page t we see the narrator being placed in a paradoxical position when she thinks if you live
in a place you should speak the language. But this isn t where I

The Suffragette Film Analysis
The Suffragette film presents a truthful recount of how women were perceived within society.
Throughout society, there was a belief that women do not need to represent their own self; rather they
have husbands that will represent their wives (Suffragette 2015). Women are often left in a state of
subordination because men are considered to be self centered and are only fully noticed when a male
is sexually attracted to her. As a result, women are perceived as sexual objects for the male gender
(Solarnis 1968, p.464). As mentioned previously, it was expected that women follow their gender
norms of caring for the children and husband and not to stray away from this norm. During the early
20th century, it has been stated that men have authoritative ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It is clear to see that the women acknowledged the gender inequalities within society and that they
should have a right to vote alongside men. The film follows Maud, who is the main character, as she
begins to take part in the Suffragette movement. Maud s Suffragette encounter began when she was
listening to Mrs Olton s speech, which was utilised in order to get women to voice their struggles, and
hope for change. At the time of the speech, Maud was working at the laundry for Mr Taylor, who
sexually, emotionally and physically abused the women who were working there. Following Mrs
Olton s speech, Maud was forced to give a statement to parliament and she described working at the
laundry for Mr Taylor. She stated that the women working in the laundry received aches, chest coughs,
crushed fingers, leg ulcers, burns, headaches, and sometimes, poisoned (Suffragette 2015).
Additionally, women were paid 13 shillings; whereas men were paid 19 shillings, even though women
worked a third more of the hours (Suffragette 2015). Connell s (1987, p.188) research of this time
period portrays this truthfulness as he states that women were paid unequally to

The Implementation Of Revenue Recognition
Introduction
Revenue Recognition is a widely debated topic amongst businesses and entities when it comes to
preparing financial statements. Generally, companies tend to recognize their revenue when it is
earned; however, this process does tend to vary depending on the company s point of view. The FASB
Codification outlines this process in detail and provides guidelines to companies that come across any
issues when recognizing revenue.
Part A:
Factors that Impair Estimates of Returns
Reliable estimates of future returns are paramount for companies when predicting future cash flows.
Referring to FASB Codification, the following key factors impair the ability to make a reasonable
estimate: 1. The susceptibility of the product to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2. The buyer has paid the seller, or the buyer is obligated to pay the seller and the obligation is not
contingent on resale of the product. If the buyer does not pay at time of sale and the buyer s obligation
to pay is contractually or implicitly excused until the buyer resells the product, then this condition is
not met.
3. The buyer s obligation to the seller would not be changed in the event of theft or physical
destruction or damage of the product.
4. The buyer acquiring the product for resale has economic substance apart from that provided by the
seller. This condition relates primarily to buyers that exist on paper, that is, buyers that have little or no
physical facilities or employees. It prevents entities from recognizing sales revenue on transactions
with parties that the sellers have established primarily for the purpose of recognizing such sales
revenue.
5. The seller does not have significant obligations for future performance to directly bring about resale
of the product by the buyer.
6. The amount of future returns can be reasonably estimated because detailed record keeping for
returns for each product line might be costly in some cases, this Subtopic permits reasonable
aggregations and approximations of product returns. Exchanges by ultimate customers of one item for
another of the same kind, quality, and price (for example, one color or size for another) are not
considered returns for purposes of this Subtopic.

Child Rearing Controversy
There are numerous philosophies on how to raise children. Several parents adopt the concepts their
own parents used, others seek advice from friends and there are those that read books about parenting.
Parents come in various and diverse forms, each approaching parenting in ways as distinct as their
personalities. Philosophies on child rearing can be grouped into two styles; authoritarian, authoritative
parenting. These two styles are similar sounding, but have nuanced differences. Authoritarian parents
hold their children to an exceedingly high level of status and success. In this style of parenting,
children are expected to follow the strict rules established by the parents. Failure in following rules
typically results in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Using authoritative parenting style requires setting boundaries while still being able to listen and be
patient with the child. Here is an example of the authoritarian parenting style: A child is caught hitting
their playmate. The parent responds by grabbing the child and spanking them without any explanation
of why hitting is immoral. Thus punishing the child with the same misconduct the child has committed
results in mocking of the punishment behavior. Using authoritarian style requires the ability to be
dominantly harsh while giving punishment without an explanation. There are abundant differences in
these two styles, but the most significant discrepancy is in the end product: the children. An
authoritative parent will preserve the love and respect of his children and, when they reach adulthood,
they will continue this custom with their own children. An authoritative parent will know he has done
his job well in the raising of those children, because the relationships that were built will incessantly
last. The parents who choose a benign approach will obtain the rewards of having children that will be
the ones who have a good work ethic and who succeed in school because they wish to please their
parents. The parents who choose to rule by fear will see quite dissimilar results: their children are
probable to react out of that terror, which will only last as long as they are young;

Essay On Transformational Leaders
Some think shiny jets like the F 22 Raptor or the F 35 Lightning II make the United States Air Force
(USAF) the best in the world. I don t. The USAF as we know it wouldn t even exist if it wasn t for
transformational leaders. We, by we I mean Airmen, tend to think of ourselves as employed in a
technical occupation, turning wrenches or pushing buttons or adding up figures. But we are in the
Service of Ideas, ideas like man can fly and air superiority is critical to national defense. But flying
itself didn t create an air force. Having the idea that mastery of the Wild Blue Yonder would make the
United States (US) military the best and most lethal in the world, and that the US Army did not fully
appreciate that idea, was a job only a transformational leader could accomplish.
But what is a transformational leader? What impact do they have? What are their characteristics?
Clearly their impact can be as great as leading the way towards the greatest fighting force man has
ever known. Their characteristics can be subtler but are just as important as the ideas they advocate.

Captain America, Winter Soldier
In the film Captain America, Winter Soldier, the audience gets a closer look at the relationship
between Captain America and Natasha Romano (Black Widow). Throughout the movie, one factor
that always comes into play is whether Natasha can be trusted as former spy and agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Her past, personality, and loyalty are what make Natasha a questionable person. Although she seems
to have ulterior motives, she ultimately proves to be very trustworthy in the end.
The main reason Natasha can be perceived as untrustworthy is due to her past as a spy for the K.G.B.

This is evident when she retrieved the data from the ship; she was the prime suspect. It is also implied
that in her former career as a spy, Natasha had done things she was not proud of.
Lastly, she and Captain America are vastly different which is what puts them at odds. Captain is
upfront and honest, whereas she is coy and playful to the point of seeming untrustworthy. She is
always one step ahead of everyone else and does not always notify her teammates. When she speaks,
she did not always give direct answers.
On the contrary, Natasha was willing to put herself in danger numerous times in order to save the
world. This type of behavior is evident throughout all of the action scenes. She fights and puts herself
in danger for the greater good. Perhaps her most meaningful action was leaking all of S.H.I.E.L.D and
H.Y.D.R.A s information. When Pierce reminded her that her past would also be revealed to the world,
she was still willing to go through with the process. As a person who valued her anonymity as, this
was a huge sacrifice, but she realized that what they were dealing with was something more important.
There were also times where Captain America could not do things alone and she used her skill sets to

This was a tactic in attempts to keep the enemy guessing and to cause the enemy to feel threatened and
unsafe. It was a good strategy to trick the enemy into always thinking and feeling that an attack would
happen at any given moment, something that would cause the enemy to develop stress or become
restless with less chances of obtaining a sense of peace or assuming that an attack was not going to

the chances of victory. In addition, it was crucial to become aware and analyze the enemy in order to
determine if a planned and deceptive attack would work. Or, it was better to avoid confrontation if it
was determined that the enemy would be stronger. Sun Tzu took into consideration that pacifism was
also an important option which would benefit future and better planned attacks. He also made it clear

Russia And The Soviet Union
Russia had many complications before Mikhail Gorbachev came into power for the Soviet Union.
During 1939 through 1945, Russian took part in World War II heavily and were led by Dictator Joseph
Stalin. Following the war, Russia was in a nuclear arms race with America, riding on everyone s fear
of there being a World War III and a nuclear war. Post World War II Russia and the rest of the Soviet
Union had very poor living conditions due to the mass of poverty. In 1962, the Cuban Missile Crisis
took place, which was also known as the October Crisis. This was when American President John F.
Kennedy was informed that there were Soviet nuclear tipped missiles in Cuba where he then made a

Soviet Union withdrew its missiles. Following this was the Brezhnev Era, Soviet Union circa 1964

Bartolomé de Las Casas. Whom wrote this to the King of Spain, Prince Philip II, in 1542 to protest
what was happening in the New World to the native people. I will be explaining many things during
this essay. The first thing I will go over is what the books tells us about the relationship between
Christianity and the colonialism. The second thing I will talk about is if it was enough to denounce the
atrocities against indigenous people. Next, if it is possible to separate how De Las Casas might have
been an outspoken critic of the Spanish s treatment of indigenous people, and how he was still a part
of a repressive institution. Finally, I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Getting their land taken away from them and getting killed, all while the natives were exceptionally
nice and welcoming of the Spaniards. So, in the end what played a bigger role? Christianity or
colonialism? This books tells us a lot about the relationship between Christianity and colonialism.
Originally, the Spaniards went to the New World to convert the natives to Christianity but, they got
lazy and greedy. De Las Casas stated that The reason the Christians have murdered on such a vast
scale and killed anyone and everyone in their way is purely and simply greed (13). The Spaniards only
cared about getting the gold and conquering the land. Of course, they had the intention of converting
all of the natives to Christianity at first but it was easier to conquer and to just kill the natives in
horrific ways to be able convert all the land to be Christian rather than keeping the people and just
converting the people. The land was easier to convert than the people. The land was especially easy to
conquer because the natives were such a docile group of people and had such giving nature and were
always welcoming with open arms. The Spaniards took advantage of that characteristic of the natives.
De Las Casas states how the natives were submissive by saying, Their insatiable greed and
overweening ambition know no bounds; the land is fertile and rich, the inhabitants simple, forbearing
and submissive (13). The

Through introspection she realizes that she needs to spend more time with her daughter hugging and

author uses the point of view to stress one aspect of a story or a novel to make it more meaningful.
The point of view in this short story is crucial in understanding the phycological standpoint of the
main character. The author s decision to make this story in first person allows for the reader to really
get inside the character s head. If the story was not written in first person then it would be much harder
for the reader to understand the true feelings of the character. For instance, the regret the narrator felt
for the way she raised Emily would not be as evident and sincere if the author just wrote, The mother
really felt bad for the way she raised Emily. Another significant purpose of writing this story in first
person is because it allows the narrator to express her own thoughts and feelings. In order to fully
grasp the narrator s mindset it is necessary to hear the story from her point of view. One very
important aspect of a psychological story is introspection. The character looks into their actions and
thoughts and grows through their thoughts. It would be very difficult to see and understand the

main greek god, and Jupiter, the main roman god, are interchangeable. Although, the time periods and
reasons for why the gods were conjured up are completely different. Even the overall natures of the

Artificial Photosynthesis
Abstract
There are vast applications to the biomimetic process of artificial photosynthesis including the
generation of clean, sustainable, and large scale energy resources; moreover, this water splitting
process allows the production of renewable chemical fuels.
Introduction.
Artificial photosynthesis is a chemical process that seeks to replicate the steps in the natural process of
photosynthesis seen in plants. This process imitates the way that plants absorb light, water, and carbon
dioxide in order to convert the materials into energy that will be consumed by the plant. The goal of
artificial photosynthesis is to mimic the green plants and other photosynthetic organisms in using
sunlight to make high energy chemicals but with far higher efficiencies and simplicity of design for
scale up and large scale production (Concepcion 2012).
Natural vs. Artificial.
In order to understand the importance of artificial photosynthesis, the process of natural
photosynthesis must be fully understood. Natural photosynthesis consists of light and dark reactions
that can be simplified into the chemical expression:
6CO¬2 + 12H2O + energy = C6H12O6 + 6O2 + 6H2O
This reaction indicates that plants use the process of photosynthesis to take carbon dioxide molecules,
water molecules, and light energy via the sun to produce materials within the plant. The materials
produced are

Catholic leaders had control of the Holy Bible without many recorded challenges for more than one
thousand years, according to several historical documents. Church authorities told church members
they could neither read nor interpret the text themselves. The principles clergy taught in church were
what churchgoers often believed. Eventually, a high ranking German monk named Martin Luther
challenged church officials in the 16th century and began reading and interpreting the Scriptures. As
he studied the Bible, he found many faults in the Catholic Church s teachings and believed everyone
should have an opportunity to read the Bible himself or herself and determine what the Bible meant.

There are some valid reasons for updating the words and sentence structure of the Bible s text, but
there are also reasons to leave the passages as close to their original meaning and syntax as possible.
Hillel Halkin, in his article Doing Justice to the Bible, writes that new translations were driven by two
motivating forces. [First, there was a] desire to apply to Bible translation the new philosophical,
archaeological, and historical knowledge that modern scholarship had made available. [Second,
scholars wanted] to adopt a freer approach to a Hebrew and Greek text no longer considered the
revealed truth but rather, in the spirit of the 20th century, a great cultural and spiritual document
composed by different authors in different periods and best approached with the flexibility that any
good literary translation should have (55). While these two proposals seem like a good idea for most
manuscripts, the Bible is not just another book. Those of the Christian faith often acknowledge the
Bible as a sacred book inspired directly by God. In Hebrews 4:12 of the New International Version of
the Bible, the collection of books describes itself as living and active. Sharper than any double edged
sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, dividing joints and marrow; it judges the attitudes
and thoughts of the heart. The Bible has become so influential that it became the first book translated

Feminist Sexological Analysis
The field of sexology is extremely valuable and yet often overlooked and taken for granted. Further,
the field of feminist sexology goes unnoticed or is just flat out excluded even more often. This is
certainly no indicator of its importance to society, though. Feminist sexology is vital to countering the
exclusionist approach of traditional sexology and providing new ways of approaching societal systems
and their issues. The poster fair itself was interesting and overall a positive experience in the end.

The Importance Of Choosing A Good School
My father once told me that a good name is better than riches. Many a time, our name is either
attractive or repulsive. It has always been a good practice to hold a good name and people would buy
into you. Choosing a university for a program would first be the centered around it name. A good
school that has a good curriculum in a program should have made a name for itself over the years.
keening to the fact, that the name of a school would likely be the first criteria to judging a school and
would be the reason why we pick a school from a list of choices. From a humanly point of view we
tend to go for a good name first before we ever think of the services we get in return. I would
personally choose a school that has made name for itself because, having a good reputation, would
mean that over the years, the university had kept it curriculum updated to meet the need of the present
work force in todays society. Not just that, another most critical thing to recall about picking a decent
college is not picking the best college as far as notoriety, yet rather the best college regarding the
training it will give to you. Obviously, notoriety is a vital piece of the condition, however colleges
come in various sizes and have a wide range of showing styles and methods of insight, and it is critical
to pick one that is a solid match to your style of learning.

donors and the used of living mice. The experiment was conducted to examine the different stages of
Alzheimer s disease pathology and the ability of the telomerase reverse transcriptase protein to protect
against damage of the neurological systems. The data accumulated from the testing of the human
brains and mice revealed that TERT when present in the subjects tested would begin to colonize with
the mitochondria and Alzheimer s disease subjects and would also cluster in areas under oxidative
tests. (Spilsbury, Miwa, et al. 2014) The experiments showed promising results on possibly using
telomerase proteins to treat and or prevent Alzheimer s disease, but further testing must be done in
order to truly conclude telomerases protective role against Alzheimer s.

Harvesters Judgement Act Analysis
Social Legislation at the turn of the twentieth century made Australia a more reformed and progressive
nation as a whole. Social Legislation was the result of Federation and made Australia more developed
compared to other countries as their identity was stronger and Australia had a high standard of living
at the time. Social legislation had three main acts which were Harvester Judgement (1907), Invalid
and Old Age Pensions (1908) and Maternity Allowance (1912), these schemes mainly benefited white
Australians. The Harvesters judgement act was established in 1907 and was made so male workers
would have an appropriate wage that could support their wife and three children. It was created by
Justice Henry Bourne Higgens who was the president of the commonwealth conciliation and
arbitration court at the time. Before the act workers would work very long hours with very little pay.
Working conditions were hard and dangerous and due to the low wage protective clothing and hygiene
was an issue. In the 1890 s there were industrial disputes due to conditions and wage which as a result
meant that the new federal government at the time of federation had to resolve this without turning to
violence. In conclusion they found wage the biggest issue after listening to worker s testimony s about
their issues. It was only fair that a minimum wage was to be made which consisted of seven shillings a
day or 42 a week which is roughly $4.20. This was the first time that employers were

Graduation Speech On The Classroom
During the past three weeks, I have observed three individual students in my 4th grade classroom. All
of the learners in the classroom are very intelligent students; however, three students stand out to me
on a daily basis for different reasons. Student A receives special education services for her reading and
writing skills. She works with a para every day to work on her reading and handwriting skills. Student
B is a gifted learner and participates in an advanced math program that the 4th and 5th grade classes
receive, if they are academically eligible. Student C is an average student in the classroom, but
struggles on a daily basis due to lack of motivation. He does not receive any services, but is redirected
by the cooperating teacher and myself. An appropriate strategy to differentiate instruction for Student
A is by allowing a para to come into the classroom and having the para work as the student s scribe.
This has actually been tested with the student and the result was a success. Student A is able to
verbalize what she wants her writing to include and the para writes these ideas down for her. With the
Nebraska State Writing Assessment approaching this week, this method has been decided upon as the
method that will help the student to be most successful during the reserved writing days. Student B
goes beyond what is asked of her and the cooperating teacher is constantly looking for ways to
challenge her so she can continue to learn in the classroom.

Analysis Of One Abstains From Dangerous Acts By Ernest Van...
Every person have different traits along with their different feelings. But sometimes feelings like fear
can change their minds. It is a natural fact that whenever a person flashback with tensed past memory,
fear will arise in their minds, And same conditions appear when a person is about to kill someone but
unfortunately, a criminal finishes his/her infraction. Ernest van den Haag who was an American
sociologist and writer once said in his article One abstains from dangerous acts because of vague,
inchoate (beginner), habitual and, above all, preconscious fears . This shows how it allows future
teenagers because they look forward towards their parents traits and gains from bad experiences with
previous lessons. Fear does change people and

Who Is To Blame For The Tragedy Of The Titanic
The Tragedy of the Titanic
By Karson Lani
On that night April 14: 11:40 p.m. The lookouts spot an iceberg with their bare eyes straight ahead and
they veered to the left to hope to miss the iceberg. Little did the passengers know that they hit the
iceberg but up front there was a loud SKREECH! Down in the coal bunker the man was right there
when the side of the boat busted open and after a while five compartments had filled but the ship
could only float with four compartments filled that meant that they had only 2 hours to to get everyone
off the boat. After the Titanic sank there was hundreds of people got locked in and some lived and got
rescued while Captain Smith went down with the ship.
Some reasons why the Titanic sank is because they

Essay about Impact of Deafness on Children
Deafness can occur at birth or become evident later in a person s life. Deafness is a disability where a
person cannot hear anything through their ear canal. Deafness is incorporated importantly with
children because if a child has this disability as a younger age than it attributes greatly to how a child
can develop with this disability. Some scientists say that deafness can be lead to genetics while others
say that trauma events or exposure to loud noise also have a key role to the cause. Deafness as first is
assessed by either at birth or can become acquired as stated earlier. Acquired deafness can be damaged
to the ear canal through noise or it can be a delayed onset genetic issue (medicine net). Deafness
acquired at birth can be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The impact on its social development is that the interaction it has with people who are not deaf. The
majority of social development deals with gestures (Marschark 92). Gestures deal with how a child
can be social with other people, for example using hand signal gestures with the thumb and index
fingers or body gestures to interact with them. Another example of social development of children is
that at a young age children who are deaf develop sounds or proto words to explain something. The
impact that deafness has on the cognitive development of children is how language deals with
cognition. Language deals with how a person learns cognitively and with learning communication that
deaf people are attributed with then their cognitive thinking changes in that they have to think more
physically. The cognitive development of a child who is deaf is distinctively different than a child who
is not. A child who is deaf may be a step above cognitively than a child who is not, because they have
to learn more in order to function with other children their age. The physical development of a child
who is deaf has no impact on the child what so ever. The impact that deafness has on a child has
greatly more importance to the social and cognitive development of a child. The physical development
of a child other than not being able to hear through both ear canals is the only physical disability that it
has. The ear canals inside might be different than

The Pros And Cons Of Abolishment
Introduction
In recent years, the death penalty is still existing in everywhere although there is less number of
convicted offenders than the old time. Some people think that death penalty is the way to constrain
people to do not offend or violate the legislation while some have an argument that this punishment
should be abolished. In this essay, I will compare two articles. Why Japanese support the death
penalty? by Shanhe Jiang, Rebecca Pilot, and Toyoji Saito (2010)(article 1) and Does it matter if the
Death Penalty is Arbitrarily Administered ? by Stephen Nathanson (2009)(article2). These two articles
are very different. The former article is based on quantitative research and explains why Japanese
people take sides with the death penalty. However, the latter article is based on qualitative research
and describes capital punishment should be abolished. I propose to summarize the main ideas of two
articles, compare both in many aspects, and conclude in my own opinion.
Summary
1. The purpose of the research
The first article, the main purpose of the authors is apparently on the topic of their article which is to
investigate the reason why Japanese participants support or oppose the death penalty. The second
article, the writer also shows the practice of the capital punishment. However, this article is related to
the abolishment. The aim of this article is to investigate the debates about the death penalty that is
eliminated due to the

Specialty Chemicals From Pyrolysis Of Waste Tire Rubber
Specialty Chemicals From Pyrolysis of Waste Tire Rubber: A Business Risk Assessment Professional
Science Masters of Applied Physical Science Georgia Southern University Meredith C. Smoak April
17, 2015 Abstract This report describes the internship I collaborated with Amiare, LLC, a new startup
company. Amiare, LLC, through a patented pyrolysis technology, produces a universal paraffin
dispersant which is utilized in the oil and gas industry for enhanced oil recovery and tank bottom
cleaning. The overall objective of the internship with Amiare, LLC was to conduct qualitative
research, document, and present findings regarding the competitive landscape for a new entrant in the
product and service market for chemical treatment of oilfields with reduced or minimal productivity
due to the presence and buildup of paraffins and asphaltenes. The rise in crude oil production drives
demand for asphaltene and paraffin inhibitors while creating risks identifiable with market entries into
the Enhanced Oil Recovery industry. I suggest some qualitative elements from the work of Bruce
Merrifield* to help guide my preliminary risk assessment to determine the merit for further
quantitative investigation. Introduction Crude oil extractions have been growing continuously
worldwide over the years. The challenges for crude oil producers in controlling asphaltene and
paraffin deposition in reservoir storage and processing are parallel with the ever increasing rise in

  • 2. Alice Walker s Themes In Everyday Use By Alice Walker Alice Walkers short story, Everyday Use, is a story that focuses on ones heritage, dignity and to figure out the person that one really is. The story is narrated by Mama, who is Dee and Maggies mother. The setting of the story mostly takes in place in the yard of the house between the 1960s and 1970s. Upon reading the story, the reader is given a clear description of what the yard is like. Mama tells us, A yard like this is more comfortable than most people know. It is not just a yard. It is like an extended living room. When the hard clay is swept clean as a floor and the fine sand around the edges lined with tiny, irregular grooves, anyone can come and sit and look up into the elm tree and wait for the breezes that never come inside the ... One of the items was a butter churn that had been passed along many generations and had imprints of the people who had used it. Mama said, You didn t even have to look close to see where hands pushing the dasher up and down to make butter had left a kind of sink in the wood. In fact, there were a lot of small sinks; you could see where thumbs and fingers had sunk into the wood. Dee wasn t aware of how long this churn had been the family which shows how much she wanted to run away from her heritage. One of the most important symbols used in Everyday Use was the quilts, which to Dee had no significant value before she had gone off to college; however, towards the end of the story Dee requested to have the quilts after leaving them behind when going off to college, saying that she was the only one who could appreciate them. Maggie being as kind hearted and shy as she was said that Dee could have the quilts, Mama refused saying that she had already promised Maggie the quilts. The quilts symbolize the family heritage and what the family went through during slavery. Mama says, In both of [the quilts] were scraps of dresses Grandma Dee had worn fifty and more years ... Maria Campbell was born in a home where Cheecum, her father s Cree grandmother, taught ancient Cree rituals and legends. Maria s strength came from the Cree traditions and by Cheecum s wisdom. However, this was weakened by extreme discrimination and poverty. When Campbell was twelve, her mother died, and that forced her to quit school and take care of her younger siblings. Analysis Of Fast Times At Ridgemont High In Fast Times at Ridgemont High, characters engage in many expressive relationships that weaken the status hierarchy often found in the high school setting. The mall is the common gathering place for characters outside of school, and status relations are easily visible here (Heckerling, 1982). Since the mall is such an integral part of the film, one witnesses the shift of status relations over time. According to a 2000 study, For these young people the mall was a social magnet that drew them away from the hassles encountered at home and school towards a haven of warmth and safety. He describes the mall as a kind of neutral ground (Matthews, 2000). Mark Rat Ratner works in the mall as assistant to the assistant manager at the movie theater, which is clearly not the most prestigious job on that side of the mall. Stacy Hamilton, on the other hand, works at Perry s Pizza Parlor, a seemingly higher ranked job. With a bit of help from Damone, however, Mark approaches Stacy at the mall to ask her on a date. This begins the friendship and future romance between them, establishing an expressive relationship that connects the slightly awkward Mark to the popular Stacy. The strict status hierarchy associated with high schools is diminished when popular individuals like Stacy do not mind interacting with and creating strong relationships with those viewed as less popular, such as Mark. Additionally, Stacy s brother Brad contributes to the deconstruction of status relations. A ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My hypothesis suggests that the largest impact on age related positivity effect is an individual that encountered more challenges throughout their lives. When individuals work for their successes, overcome obstacles and learn to cope with adversity, they have an opportunity to learn invaluable lessons of perseverance. Aware of attention restoration theory (ART) that theorizes cognitively, individuals naturally are stimulated by either negative or positive stimuli (Berman, Jonides, Kaplan, 2008). ART is based on research, examining the separation of attention into two fundamental areas: involuntary attention, where ones attention is drawn to their natural positive or negative stimuli (Berman, Jonides, Kaplan, 2008). The secondary occurs when your attention is captured by something intriguing to your personal sensibilities, some stimuli that challenges your natural cognitive thought pattern (Berman, Jonides, Kaplan, 2008). Therefore, theorizing individuals that encounter few adversities within the first one third of their lives, lack the opportunity to learn challenging coping skills, thus, leaving these individuals with a personal deficit when forced to endure hardships and calamities in the later stages of their lives (Berman, Jonides, Kaplan, 2008). Throughout society, there was a belief that women do not need to represent their own self; rather they have husbands that will represent their wives (Suffragette 2015). Women are often left in a state of subordination because men are considered to be self centered and are only fully noticed when a male is sexually attracted to her. As a result, women are perceived as sexual objects for the male gender (Solarnis 1968, p.464). So, in the end what played a bigger role? Christianity or colonialism? This books tells us a lot about the relationship between Christianity and colonialism. Originally, the Spaniards went to the New World to convert the natives to Christianity but, they got lazy and greedy. De Las Casas stated that The reason the Christians have murdered on such a vast scale and killed anyone and everyone in their way is purely and simply greed (13). The Spaniards only cared about getting the gold and conquering the land. Of course, they had the intention of converting all of the natives to Christianity at first but it was easier to conquer and to just kill the natives in horrific ways to be able convert all the land to be Christian rather than keeping the people and just converting the people. The land was easier to convert than the people. The land was especially easy to conquer because the natives were such a docile group of people and had such giving nature and were always welcoming with open arms. The point of view in every work of literature can be different. An author uses the point of view to stress one aspect of a story or a novel to make it more meaningful. The point of view in this short story is crucial in understanding the phycological standpoint of the main character. The author s decision to make this story in first person allows for the reader to really get inside the character s head. If the story was not written in first person then it would be much harder for the reader to understand the true feelings of the character. For instance, the regret the narrator felt for the way she raised Emily would not be as evident and sincere if the author just wrote, The mother really felt bad for the way she raised Emily. Another significant purpose of writing this story in first person is because it allows the narrator to express her own thoughts and feelings. Importance Of Artificial Photosynthesis Ashley Baum and Desta Tekle Wold BIOL 219 Extra Credit Assignment September 18, 2017 Artificial Photosynthesis Abstract There are vast applications to the biomimetic process of artificial photosynthesis including the generation of clean, sustainable, and large scale energy resources; moreover, this water splitting process allows the production of renewable chemical fuels. Introduction. Artificial photosynthesis is a chemical process that seeks to replicate the steps in the natural process of photosynthesis seen in plants. This process imitates the way that plants absorb light, water, and carbon dioxide in order to convert the materials into energy that will be consumed by the plant. The goal of artificial photosynthesis is to mimic the green plants and other photosynthetic organisms in using sunlight to make high energy chemicals but with far higher efficiencies and simplicity of design for scale up and large scale production (Concepcion 2012). Natural vs. Artificial. In order to understand the importance of artificial photosynthesis, the process of natural photosynthesis must be fully understood. Natural photosynthesis consists of light and dark reactions that can be simplified into the chemical expression: 6CO¬2 + 12H2O + energy = C6H12O6 + 6O2 + 6H2O This reaction indicates that plants use the process of photosynthesis to take carbon dioxide molecules, water molecules, and light energy via the sun to produce materials within the plant. There are some valid reasons for updating the words and sentence structure of the Bible s text, but there are also reasons to leave the passages as close to their original meaning and syntax as possible. Hillel Halkin, in his article Doing Justice to the Bible, writes that new translations were driven by two motivating forces. [First, there was a] desire to apply to Bible translation the new philosophical, archaeological, and historical knowledge that modern scholarship had made available. [Second, scholars wanted] to adopt a freer approach to a Hebrew and Greek text no longer considered the revealed truth but rather, in the spirit of the 20th century, a great cultural and spiritual document composed by different authors in different periods and best approached with the flexibility that any good literary translation should have (55). While these two proposals seem like a good idea for most manuscripts, the Bible is not just another book. • 40. Harvesters Judgement Act Analysis Social Legislation at the turn of the twentieth century made Australia a more reformed and progressive nation as a whole. Social Legislation was the result of Federation and made Australia more developed compared to other countries as their identity was stronger and Australia had a high standard of living at the time. Social legislation had three main acts which were Harvester Judgement (1907), Invalid and Old Age Pensions (1908) and Maternity Allowance (1912), these schemes mainly benefited white Australians. The Harvesters judgement act was established in 1907 and was made so male workers would have an appropriate wage that could support their wife and three children. It was created by Justice Henry Bourne Higgens who was the president of the commonwealth conciliation and arbitration court at the time. Before the act workers would work very long hours with very little pay. Working conditions were hard and dangerous and due to the low wage protective clothing and hygiene was an issue. In the 1890 s there were industrial disputes due to conditions and wage which as a result meant that the new federal government at the time of federation had to resolve this without turning to violence. In conclusion they found wage the biggest issue after listening to worker s testimony s about their issues. It was only fair that a minimum wage was to be made which consisted of seven shillings a day or 42 a week which is roughly $4.20. This was the first time that employers were ... • 41. Graduation Speech On The Classroom During the past three weeks, I have observed three individual students in my 4th grade classroom. All of the learners in the classroom are very intelligent students; however, three students stand out to me on a daily basis for different reasons. Student A receives special education services for her reading and writing skills. She works with a para every day to work on her reading and handwriting skills. Student B is a gifted learner and participates in an advanced math program that the 4th and 5th grade classes receive, if they are academically eligible. Student C is an average student in the classroom, but struggles on a daily basis due to lack of motivation. He does not receive any services, but is redirected by the cooperating teacher and myself. An appropriate strategy to differentiate instruction for Student A is by allowing a para to come into the classroom and having the para work as the student s scribe. This has actually been tested with the student and the result was a success. Student A is able to verbalize what she wants her writing to include and the para writes these ideas down for her. With the Nebraska State Writing Assessment approaching this week, this method has been decided upon as the method that will help the student to be most successful during the reserved writing days. Student B goes beyond what is asked of her and the cooperating teacher is constantly looking for ways to challenge her so she can continue to learn in the classroom. ... • 43. Analysis Of One Abstains From Dangerous Acts By Ernest Van... Every person have different traits along with their different feelings. But sometimes feelings like fear can change their minds. It is a natural fact that whenever a person flashback with tensed past memory, fear will arise in their minds, And same conditions appear when a person is about to kill someone but unfortunately, a criminal finishes his/her infraction. Ernest van den Haag who was an American sociologist and writer once said in his article One abstains from dangerous acts because of vague, inchoate (beginner), habitual and, above all, preconscious fears . This shows how it allows future teenagers because they look forward towards their parents traits and gains from bad experiences with previous lessons. Fear does change people and ... • 44. Who Is To Blame For The Tragedy Of The Titanic The Tragedy of the Titanic By Karson Lani On that night April 14: 11:40 p.m. The lookouts spot an iceberg with their bare eyes straight ahead and they veered to the left to hope to miss the iceberg. Little did the passengers know that they hit the iceberg but up front there was a loud SKREECH! Down in the coal bunker the man was right there when the side of the boat busted open and after a while five compartments had filled but the ship could only float with four compartments filled that meant that they had only 2 hours to to get everyone off the boat. After the Titanic sank there was hundreds of people got locked in and some lived and got rescued while Captain Smith went down with the ship. Some reasons why the Titanic sank is because they ... • 45. Essay about Impact of Deafness on Children Deafness can occur at birth or become evident later in a person s life. Deafness is a disability where a person cannot hear anything through their ear canal. Deafness is incorporated importantly with children because if a child has this disability as a younger age than it attributes greatly to how a child can develop with this disability. Some scientists say that deafness can be lead to genetics while others say that trauma events or exposure to loud noise also have a key role to the cause. Deafness as first is assessed by either at birth or can become acquired as stated earlier. Acquired deafness can be damaged to the ear canal through noise or it can be a delayed onset genetic issue (medicine net). Deafness acquired at birth can be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The impact on its social development is that the interaction it has with people who are not deaf. The majority of social development deals with gestures (Marschark 92). Gestures deal with how a child can be social with other people, for example using hand signal gestures with the thumb and index fingers or body gestures to interact with them. Another example of social development of children is that at a young age children who are deaf develop sounds or proto words to explain something. The impact that deafness has on the cognitive development of children is how language deals with cognition. Language deals with how a person learns cognitively and with learning communication that deaf people are attributed with then their cognitive thinking changes in that they have to think more physically. The cognitive development of a child who is deaf is distinctively different than a child who is not. A child who is deaf may be a step above cognitively than a child who is not, because they have to learn more in order to function with other children their age. The physical development of a child who is deaf has no impact on the child what so ever. The impact that deafness has on a child has greatly more importance to the social and cognitive development of a child. The physical development of a child other than not being able to hear through both ear canals is the only physical disability that it has. The ear canals inside might be different than ... • 46. The Pros And Cons Of Abolishment Introduction In recent years, the death penalty is still existing in everywhere although there is less number of convicted offenders than the old time. Some people think that death penalty is the way to constrain people to do not offend or violate the legislation while some have an argument that this punishment should be abolished. In this essay, I will compare two articles. Why Japanese support the death penalty? by Shanhe Jiang, Rebecca Pilot, and Toyoji Saito (2010)(article 1) and Does it matter if the Death Penalty is Arbitrarily Administered ? by Stephen Nathanson (2009)(article2). These two articles are very different. The former article is based on quantitative research and explains why Japanese people take sides with the death penalty. However, the latter article is based on qualitative research and describes capital punishment should be abolished. I propose to summarize the main ideas of two articles, compare both in many aspects, and conclude in my own opinion. Summary 1. The purpose of the research The first article, the main purpose of the authors is apparently on the topic of their article which is to investigate the reason why Japanese participants support or oppose the death penalty. The second article, the writer also shows the practice of the capital punishment. However, this article is related to the abolishment. The aim of this article is to investigate the debates about the death penalty that is eliminated due to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 48. Specialty Chemicals From Pyrolysis Of Waste Tire Rubber Specialty Chemicals From Pyrolysis of Waste Tire Rubber: A Business Risk Assessment Professional Science Masters of Applied Physical Science Georgia Southern University Meredith C. Smoak April 17, 2015 Abstract This report describes the internship I collaborated with Amiare, LLC, a new startup company. Amiare, LLC, through a patented pyrolysis technology, produces a universal paraffin dispersant which is utilized in the oil and gas industry for enhanced oil recovery and tank bottom cleaning. The overall objective of the internship with Amiare, LLC was to conduct qualitative research, document, and present findings regarding the competitive landscape for a new entrant in the product and service market for chemical treatment of oilfields with reduced or minimal productivity due to the presence and buildup of paraffins and asphaltenes. The rise in crude oil production drives demand for asphaltene and paraffin inhibitors while creating risks identifiable with market entries into the Enhanced Oil Recovery industry. I suggest some qualitative elements from the work of Bruce Merrifield* to help guide my preliminary risk assessment to determine the merit for further quantitative investigation. Introduction Crude oil extractions have been growing continuously worldwide over the years. The challenges for crude oil producers in controlling asphaltene and paraffin deposition in reservoir storage and processing are parallel with the ever increasing rise in ...
