2. Introduction
Hong Kong was the colony of British between 1841 to 1997. Due to the historical and political
factors, both Chinese and English were the official language back then. People mainly speak
Cantonese and English in their daily life which appear the phenomenon of code–switching. Code–
switching is a class of linguistic behaviour representing switching between different codes including
languages and dialects in the course of a single interaction. Code–switching is commonly appear in
Hong Kong like newspaper, social media and advertisements. In this research proposal, we are aim
to find out (1)How common that HK people use code–switching, (2)The frequency of HK people
use code–switching and (3)What are the reasons for them to code–switch.
3. Literature review
Defined by Kachru (1978: 28), the 'code–­
mixing' (code–switching) means to use "one or more
languages for consistent transfer of linguistic units from one language into another". It shows that
code–switching have a close relationship with languages and dialects. Hong Kong is a international
commercial center and the pearl of Orient, our culture, language are highly influenced by Eastern

main task of switching technique is to establish connection between input and output channel inside
the router. Circuit switched networks reserve a physical path before transmitting the data packets,

enhanced performance, scalability, modularity, and design productivity compared to busses and

destination (having successfully allocated the necessary links), the destination sends back an

The study gives essential information regarding education students' negative attitudes towards
classroom code–switching. Using qualitative and quantitative approach, the awareness of the
disadvantages of code–switching in English class will be calculated. Therefore, the formation of
programs encouraging the use of the English language in communication skills will be developed by
the institute to enhance students' performance and competence in the use of the English language in
communication skills.
Scope and Delimitation of the Study
The study was limited to fifteen students from each program, the third year BSE (Bachelor of
Secondary Education) and BEED (Bachelor in Elementary Education) who are enrolled in English
subjects for S.Y. 2016–2017 in the Institute of Teacher Education in Isabela State University,

Those who oppose and highly criticize the use of code switching in a bilingual person daily life and
in the educational area, believe that the brain is divided in two categorie4s and that the first language
is in one side of the brain and that the second language is in the other side. The human brain is not

In a full switched network, hubs are not used. Instead, switches are used with a dedicated segment
for every node. In this type of network the switch picks up every transmission before it reaches
another node. Since any segment only reaches a single node, the frame only reaches the intended

Even a person knows two or more languages they can dislike others using code–switching. For
example let's use Americans pronouncing Spanish words towards the Hispanic. The Hispanic will
feel disrespected because the Americans are yelling out burrito, frijoles rancheros, huebos, you name

Multiprotocol label switching or MPLS is a technique that enables the labeling of packets in such a
way that facilitates network traffic and the tracking of that packet across different routers along a
network. As a technique, moreover, it is differentiated from a specific service, so that in essence
MPLS can be utilized in the delivery of different kinds of services, including virtual private
networks on IP, Ethernet, and optics–based services. The fundamental idea is that information about

Networks, developed by Cisco, and standardized by the IETF, this service has become a dominant
competitor. Independent think–tank, Nemertes Research has estimated that nearly eighty five
percent of companies are already using MPLS today. Multiprotocol Label switching works at layer 2

MPLS encapsulated PDUs move through a WAN via Label Switched Paths (LSPs), which are
similar to Frame Relay's virtual circuits. PDUs with closely related paths are grouped into
Forwarding Equivalence classes (FECs). FECs are not synonymous with LSPs, as multiple FECs
often traverse the same LSP. Regular interior routing protocols are present on the WAN, but only to
spread topology data so that LSPs can be created. They are not involved in individual forwarding

technique for moving data between LANs. Since only a single router has to fully inspect incoming

improved from the paradigm. However many advancements in hardware have somewhat closed the
gap on this difference. Nonetheless, MPLS remains a fair choice for those who wish to optimize the
speed of their network, and it has many things to offer beyond that original intent. The
