PRODUCTION PLAN: PERSONNEL
I will notbe able to create myfilmon myown.‘FromOutside In’haslotsof 1 personshotsof the
maincharacter, whichI am playingmyself,butothersceneswill needmore personnel.
Cast:
For the maincharacter of Sam,I have decidedtoplaythe role
myself.Thisisbecause Ican act the exactway I wantthe
character to act and, due to creatingthe film, Iunderstandthe
concept,ideasandpurpose.Thisalsomeansthatthe 1 person
scenes,usingspecificallystaticshots,wouldbe easytofilm.I
wouldnotneedtorelyon anotheractor for thisor a camera
operatoras I am alsoeditingandcan pressrecord,getin
positionandstart.Thismeansthat I won’thave to findtime
where eachparticipantisavailable tofilm.Thisisgoodasthere
are manyscenesthiscan applyto,unfortunately,itdoesn’t
applyto all of them.
For Students1,2 and 3, I will needtofindwilling16-18 yearoldsthat wouldbe comfortable/
comfortable enoughtobe oncamera. I will trytofindbothboys andgirlsand evenothersforthisto
showthe diversitywithinmyfilm.Theywill needtobe okwithactinglike the stereotypical‘girlygirl’
or ‘popularkid’withinthe filmandmustbe ok withspeakingdialogue.Theywill be neededinthe
school classroomscenesas well asoutside the 6th
formblock(2 scenes).The 2 outside sceneswill
not require themtohave scripteddialogue,onlymurmuringandwalkingawayfromthe camerato
give the sense of a busyschool.Iwould alsolike tohave otherstudentsasextraswithinmyfilm.
These wouldnothave anyspeakinglinesandwouldonlybe seenduringclassroomandoutside
shots.These are mostlyto increase the illusionthatitisduring the dayof school.These actorscan
be of any gender,colour, race or sexuality,just likestudents1,2 and 3. Thiswill againshow diversity
withinmyfilm.
Crew:
In termsof crew I will be settingup,framing/positioningand
focusingthe cameraand I will be operatingitwhenIcan.
Thisis due to the fact that I knowhowI wantit to lookand I
can reviewthe footage there andthenadjustwhatIwant.For the biggerscenes,intermsof
personnel atthe location,Iwill needsomeonetohelpwiththis.Iamthinkingaboutaskinganother
mediastudiesstudentastheywill knowhow the cameraworksandtheywill be betteratassessing
the footage andanglesas oppose tosomeone whoisinexperienced.Ifeel onlyone personshouldbe
ok butif anyextrasor the actors of Students1,2 and 3, have any current/previousexperience I
wouldlove theirhelpwiththe cameraandtheiropinionsandadvice withthe shots.
Conclusion:
To conclude,thisisthe personnel Iamgoingto lookforto helpme put togethermyfilm.The filmis
somethingthe personnel have tounderstandandappreciateastheywill notact/helptothe bestof
theirabilitiesif theydon’tlikewhattheyare doing.All personnelhave tobe like thisasthe minimum
because the ideal personnel wouldbe people passionateaboutthe conceptandideaforthe filmdue
to experience dealingwithmental healthorknow of people whogothroughitand supportthem.
