12/2/15:
I and Chilapi came up with the idea of producing a production along the line of
rape, to tell a story but also raiserape awareness. Our initial story line was A
girliswalking from thebusstop to herfriendshouseandsheis smiling, having a
flash backof thestartof her dayand itsgetting darkbutnotyetdark. Thewalkis
quietlong butsheiswalking besidetheroad.Hardlyanyoneiswalking around
buta fewcarsdrivepast
Allof a sudden…(The personwhowasin her flash backscoversher mouthand
dragsher into the darkness)
30 minuteslater
Sheisknocking on her friend’sdoorwith ripped clothesandblooddripping down
her legs.Sheis cryingextremelyhard andshivering.Thedoor opensand she
jumpsinto thepersonsarms, notcaring who thepersonsheisgripping tightlyon
is. Shecontinues to sobhardandafter a fewseconds,shedecidesto walkintothe
frontroombut, shehadforgottenthatallherotherfriendsweretheretoo. She
walksintotheroom andallherfriends eyesfellon her. Sheautomaticallystarted
cryingagain.

We bothproduced powerpointsaswehadto researchboth primaryand
secondaryresearch sourcesto help usdevelopandtouch up on our production
idea. Attheend of thislesson, webothhaddetailed powerpointsthatclearly
showedwherewegotour maininspirationforourfilmfrom and otherfilmsthat
our similarto ourown. Also,weproduceda surveyformembersin our class and
othermembersof thecollege to answerforus.Wedidthisbecause,itwould help
us knowif peoplewould beinterestedin watchingourfilmor notandalso, what
peoplearelookingto seeinside ourfilm, or a drama genrefilm.
5/3/15:
On this day, myself and Chilapi started our individual reports a long side
research on similar films and target audiences. We both agreed that we liked
the idea of the story line and thought that it was a strong story to go with as it

2. was different fromeverybody elsein the class’s idea. Like the rest of the class,
we began our film report. Our film reports concluded of an introduction to the
film, giving out general information on what our film was going to be about,
the genre and the target audience of our film and also the basic storyline. In
my report, I included my questions and results fromthe surveys thatwe got
our class members and other members around the college to fill out for us. I
also included my secondary research which was the information on the films
that I found that had similar story lines or scenes that we like our idea. Other

3. factors like, actors, cost/budget, location, unique selling point and risk
assessment. Doing this reportmade us think deeply about each process of
filming making and abouteverything wewould have to do before, during and
after the production. This made us look at the big picture when it came to
filming and understand that we would have a lot to do, especially as there is
only two of us in one group, unlike others that have 3 or 4 members.

4. 14/4/15:
We got a new teacher who cleared us up on whatwe had to do. He gave us a
list of the things that we had to do and we got straight to work. Today I went
over the story line of our film and started having doubts of it. I ended up
changing parts of the film like the location which was initially going to be set in
shooters hill to sladegreen, around Chilapi’s area. Chilapi started looking into
producing the story board. Both myself and Chilapi ended up having two
different sets of story lines to our film and released that we were no longer
working together but working separately which is not the way things were
meant to be. We asked our teacher for urgent help and he helped us combine
both of our storylineideas together. We both agreed that we like the new and
refined idea and we rolled with it. The outcome was that we had a better
storylinethat was easy to understand and produceand I started the beginning
of the script, whilst Chilapi started the story board.
15/4/15:
I carried on with the script but took a quick break to get our Actors to fill the
release forms that we produced. I then took pictures of the forms and added
them to a presentation that I would go back to for my Actor justification. I then
went back to the scriptbut I struggled a bit as I wasn’texactly surehow I was
meant to lay out the script. Instead of justgiving up I asked for help and was
given a website to help me lay out the script. I don’tthink that today was as
productiveas the other pervious days as I didn’t do as much as I wanted to. I
think this is becauseI was nearly on the vergeof giving up as I was
overwhelmed with the work load.
21/4/15:
I came in the class motivated to complete the script. I finally finished the script
but had to turn I into a shooting script which basically included all the shots
and angles that would that would be used in our film. I found this difficult as I
had to quickly run through the film in my head and imagine what would look
good in whatshot and whatwould look good in what angle. I was able to
complete half of the shot list. This disappointed me because I wanted to finish
the wholescript and I was behind but I decided that next lesson I would
definitely finish the whole script.

5. 23/4/15:
Today I finally finished the script. I was able to add over 40 shots to the
shooting scriptand complete the scriptto the best that I could. I found that it
was actually fun and easy adding the shots that I would like into the shooting
scriptas I could picture the film in my head and also too inspiration fromother
films that I’vewatched before. For example, I took inspiration fromfor
coloured girls, as when things got tense, they used a lot of wide shots, mid
shots and closeups to make the audience havesympathy for the characters
and to engage them into the film.
28/4/15:
Today, we were uploading the restof our pre-production work. And carrying
on with our pre-production logs. I uploaded the risk assessmentand finally was
able to put the Actors realise forms onto my PowerPointsideto savetime
when it comes to uploading onto our blogs. Chilapi uploaded the shoot
schedule onto the blog today also and even though we are slightly behind we
are trying as much as possibleto be done with all our pre-production by the
end of today.
5/5/15:
Unfortunately our camera that we took over the weekend to use to film failed
us, as it didn’t work meaning that our group is far behind. Because of this
unfortunatesituation, we don’thave any footageto edit and our deadline is
this Friday. That means that we haveto put in A LOT of work beforeand after
college to make surethat we havethe film filmed and edited on time. In all
honesty, I’ma bit anxious to see whether this is going to work or not, becauseI
have other assignments thatI need to balance along with this one. I believe
that if we film today after college and get mostof the film done, if not all,
tomorrow I will be able to startediting and the next day I would be able to go
out again to capture the last bits and bobs needed. As we were not able to film
or edit anything at this particular time, we decided the best thing to do is to
carry on updating our pre-production work. I ended up producing a detailed
presentation on the Actors we choice and why we choice them and also added
images of the Actors.
6/5/15:

6. Fortunately enough, yesterday straightafter college we went to our location to
film our Anonymous characters parts as our protagonistwas notavailable to
film but it was better that we filmed someparts instead of having nothing at all
to edit in class. Today wewere able to edit the parts that we had done
individually. As this was an individual task, we got on to each of our films and
edited the parts that we had on us.
11/5/15:
I was finally able to edit all of my film. This was very last minute but I stayed
back during all of my free periods to complete this task to the best of my
ability. Chilapi also edited her film during this time. Unfortunately at the end of
editing my film, because of technical issues, I wasn’table to upload my film
onto youtubeor my blog but as my teacher was presenthe extended our time
to tomorrow to upload our films.
12/5/15:
Today Chilapi and I uploaded our films onto Youtube and onto our blog finally,
as we were not able to upload it yesterday dueto technical issues.
