3) What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? Worldwide Magazine Distribution Ltd. I would choose this magazine distributer to publish and sell my magazine as the previous magazines that it sells all attract the type of audience that all follow similar genres of music that I feature in my magazine. This would mean that they would know how to sell the magazine appropriately as they have a lot of experience selling similar products. Editor's Notes

  • #3 Eye contact – personal and instantly relates to audience Varied fonts Basic bright colour structure to attract an audience quickly Quotes makes the magazine seem more realistic Clear cover lines Depth of field – makes certain things stand out in order to entice the audience Offer makes people wish to buy the magazine to get free stuff
  • #4 Top left masthead – primary optical area attract with the bright colour Band index – Increases the reason to keep reading the magazine Different sections of the magazine Issue date – more realistic Subscription board – already attempting to sell another item, just like a real magazine
  • #5 Pull quotes – Draws attention Q&A – short snippets of information not a lot of reading – target audience
  • #6 Model depth of field – Similarity Rough edged boxes – Attracts Images in contents used the same way Bold mast heads Contents sections Bands and Festivals mentioned – target audience interested in both
  • #11 In comparing my preliminary task magazine to my current magazine I believe that I have adapted all of my gained skills throughout in order to achieve the magazine to the best of my abilities, displaying a greater understanding of how important the audience is in the development and how easy it is to become confused and repel an audience by making simple errors such as colour schemes that oppose the certain gender you are targeting. Therefore by using all of this as an example and just by looking at the two in comparison with one another it is easy to see that newer version is much better as I have shown a clearer understanding of the task that has been set and an obvious progression.
