As educators, we often forget what it is like to be a student. In particular, an international student. In addition to this, it is challenging to empathise with international students unless we ourselves have studied in a second language. We do our best as educators to ensure teaching is inclusive of international students, but often forget to do this due to constraints such as prioritising with delivering content.

Since English communication skills are crucial for students to have good careers in the future, this paper aims at finding the difficulties that students at Dong Nai Technology University encounter when learning listening skills and how multimedia learning materials can help them improve these skills. Students have critical difficulties in English listening because most of the Vietnamese high schools pay more attention to grammar, reading, and vocabulary. Listening is not an important part of many course books and most teachers do not pay attention to this vital skill in their classes. In this paper, the researchers reviewed the terms listening, factors causing learning listening difficulties. The review of literature indicated that when teachers are aware of students’ listening difficulties they can help their students to develop effective listening strategies and finally solve students’ difficulties in listening English as well as improve students’ listening abilities. The problems of Fluency in Spoken English among EFL Learners in Saudi Univers...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT : This study aims to investigate the problems and challenges which is usually experienced by
English learner's students in the Saudi universities when trying to speak English. It also checks at the problems
that students face when learning English language in Saudi universities and try to find remedies to this problem.
The research uses a questionnaire, interviews, and descriptive methods in the collection of data about fluency in
English language in universities in KSU as an example. The data was then statistically analyzed using the SPSS
program. The results showed that there are various problems which hinder fluency of English learning in the
universities and among them include: under-qualified teachers, unsuitable teaching materials and the methods
used in teaching are also poor. The other problem is the psychological factor which makes student lack
motivation while learning English. The study also contains ways in which these problems can be handled to
bring efficiency in learning and teaching English in Saudi universities.
KEYWORDS: The challenges of fluency in spoken English among the EFL students.

Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. 5. ● The lack of confidence is remarkable factor of anxiety and fear.
Student need to have healthy self-respect and need to believe in
themselves as learner. Self-esteem and self-confidence are like
the foundations of a building: if they are not secure enough,
even the best technology will be insufficient to build solid walls
over them. The teacher can employ the most creative
motivational ideas, but if students have basic doubts about
themselves they will be unable to ‘bloom’ as learners.

aims of teaching English. Many times, neither the teacher nor
the student is acquainted English. The teacher only wants
that his students should pass the examination. The main
aims, in this way, get neglected.

8. ● Vocabulary is very important to any language; how else is anyone
supposed to express themselves clearly and be understood when
they don’t know the words? It turns out that some Indian students
have a limited vocabulary, which makes speaking and writing in
English a problem.
● The problem with having a limited vocabulary doesn’t just affect the
student's ability to speak or write in English, it also affects their
ability to learn
❏ Limitations of vocabulary :
9. ● The rules of grammar and sentence construction are different for every
language. When non-native English speakers write in English, they will
subconsciously try to apply the rules of their language, which leads to
awkward grammar and sentence structure.
