This document describes a probabilistic design and random optimization of a hollow rectangular composite beam structure using finite element analysis. A Monte Carlo simulation was conducted by randomly varying design parameters like beam length, ply angles, elastic modulus, and force within defined ranges. Scatter plots of maximum bending stress were obtained for different parameter combinations. Random optimization was then performed to minimize bending stress, obtaining 1000 feasible sets. The best set that reduced bending stress the most is proposed as the optimized design.

Probabilistic Design Hollow of Airfoil Wing by Using Finite Element MethodIJERA Editor
This document presents a probabilistic finite element analysis of the bending stress in a hollow NACA0012 airfoil composite wing. The analysis varies key geometric parameters, material properties, composite layer properties, and applied load within realistic ranges using Monte Carlo simulation. Scatter plots show the effects of each input parameter on the bending stress output. The results identify that chord length, ply thickness, orientation angle, Young's modulus in the XX direction, and shear modulus in XY have the most significant effects on bending stress, while other inputs have less influence. This probabilistic analysis can help determine robust input parameters and limits for optimization of the airfoil wing design.

Probabilistic Design of Hollow Circular Composite Structure by using Finite E...IJERA Editor
This document summarizes a study that uses finite element analysis to analyze the bending stress of a hollow circular composite beam under static loading conditions while accounting for uncertainty in design variables. A probabilistic design system is used to simulate the effects of varying the beam's length, radius, material properties, ply angles, thickness, and applied load on the bending stress. The results identify that variation in load, radius, modulus, ply thickness, and angles have the most significant effect on bending stress. The analysis finds the bending stress can range from 104 to 392 MPa with a 90% probability of being below 250 MPa. Improving the robustness of the design may require addressing variables with the highest sensitivity on bending stress.

Experimental and Fe Analysis of Eccentric Loaded Welded Joint StructureIJERA Editor
Arc welded structures are widely used in automobiles, constructions & power plants. As the main cause of weldment failure is design defect & overload, hence it is necessary to analyze the maximum stresses in the weldment. In this project experimentation is carried out on symmetrical and unsymmetrical eccentric loaded welded joint to determine the breaking stress in the weldment. The FE analysis & analytical estimation of breaking stress is also carried out to verify the experimental results. The stress distribution along weld size & throat thickness is evaluated and also compared with reported findings under same loading condition. Further eccentric loaded welded joint is analyzed under eccentric load by varying the gap between parent plates.
The document experimentally investigates the flexural behavior of cold-formed steel sections with triangular web corrugations. Three beam specimens with varying web depths of 200mm, 250mm, and 300mm were tested under two-point loading. The results show that flexural capacity increases with web depth. All beams failed by crushing of the top flange and lateral torsional buckling. Finite element analysis using ANSYS software correlated well with experimental results. The triangular web corrugations improved flexural strength compared to flat webs and prevented failure in the web or shear zones.

IRJET- Finite Element Modelling and Simulation of Rubber Component in Predict...IRJET Journal
This document summarizes a study that used finite element modeling and simulation to predict the behavior of rubber components using different hyperelastic material models. Three hyperelastic models - Neo-Hookean, Mooney-Rivlin, and Yeoh - were used to model a rubber bushing component. The Yeoh model provided the best fit to experimental load-displacement test data compared to the other two models, particularly for its ability to capture material behavior at large strains over 200-300%. Finite element analysis was conducted to identify material parameters for each model and compare model predictions to the test data, finding that the Yeoh model most accurately simulated the hyperelastic behavior of the rubber material.

NONLINEAR FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS FOR REINFORCED CONCRETE SLABS UNDER PUNCHIN...IAEME Publication
This paper presents an implementation of a three-dimensional nonlinear finite element model for evaluating the behavior of reinforced concrete slabs under centric load. The concrete was idealized by using eight-nodded solid elements. While flexural reinforcement and the shear were modeled as line elements, a perfected bond between solid elements and line elements was assumed. The nonlinear behavior of concrete in compression is simulated by an elasto-plastic work-hardening model, and in tension a suitable post-cracking model based on tension stiffening and shear retention models are employed. The steel was simulated using an elastic-full plastic model. The validity of the theoretical formulations and the program used was verified through comparison with available experimental data, and the agreement has proven to be good. A parametric study has been also carried out to investigate the influence of the slab thickness on column-slab connection response

An approximate solution for plates resting on winkler foundationIAEME Publication
This document presents an approximate finite grid solution method for plates resting on a Winkler foundation. The method represents plates as a grid of intersecting beam elements, with each element using the exact stiffness matrix of a beam on a Winkler foundation. Shape functions are derived for the beam elements that include the effects of the foundation. Some example problems are solved using this finite grid representation and compared to known analytical solutions, showing accurate results. The method provides a computationally efficient way to solve general plate bending problems on an elastic foundation.

Role of insurance in construction and infrastructure projectsIAEME Publication
This document discusses the role of insurance in construction and infrastructure projects. It begins by stating that construction projects face significant risks and uncertainties. It then discusses how insurance can be used as a risk transfer tool in construction, examining the interaction between construction players and insurance companies regarding risk management. The document presents research that was conducted through a questionnaire survey with clients, consultants, contractors, and insurance companies to better understand how insurance covers risks but does not normally educate contractors on risk control or minimization. It recommends involving all contract groups early in discussing risk management and insurance policies.

Bidirectional full bridge dc-dc converter with flyback snubber for photovolta...IAEME Publication
This document describes a bidirectional full-bridge DC-DC converter with a flyback snubber circuit for photovoltaic applications. The converter allows for stepped-up voltage from a solar cell to charge a battery. It uses a current-fed full-bridge on the low voltage side and a voltage-fed bridge on the high voltage side, with an isolation transformer in between. A flyback snubber is used to clamp voltage spikes caused by current differences, reducing stress on the active switches. Simulation results show the converter successfully steps up 6V solar output to over 15V for battery charging. The flyback snubber regulates voltages while improving reliability.

This document summarizes a study on modeling carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) cruciform specimens under biaxial fatigue loading. It describes the development of a biaxial loading mechanism that subjects cruciform specimens to tension-tension or compression-compression loading at ratios of 1:1 to 1:4. Finite element models of cruciform specimens with different layer configurations were created in ANSYS and fatigue analyzed in nCode DesignLife. Results showed that modeling the CFRP as orthotropic rather than isotropic reduced the predicted fatigue life, with the orthotropic material exhibiting greater sensitivity to load duration. Increasing layer numbers from 6 to 10 also increased fatigue life.

NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION ON THE PUNCHING BEHAVIOR OF RC FLAT SLABS STRENGTHENI...IAEME Publication
In this paper, the effectiveness of textile-reinforced mortar (TRM) and fiberreinforced
polymer (FRP), as a means of improving the punching behavior of
reinforced concrete flat slabs were numerically investigated. Finite element (FE)
model using ABAQUS computer program was developed to analyze eight half-scaled
slabs, in terms of load-carrying capacity, ductility, stiffness, and crack patterns. These
eight specimens were divided into two groups (G1 and G2) with four specimens for
each of them. Specimens of G1 was similar to that of G2 in all details but differ in the
eccentricity of the applied load. Specimens of G1 were tested with concentric load,
while these of G2 were tested with 150 mm eccentricity. For each group, one specimen
was built as control (unstrengthened), one was strengthened by FRP-sheet, and the
other two was strengthened by TRM-jacket with two different mesh opening (10 and
20 mm). The results obtained from FE analysis showed that the efficiency of TRM in
increasing the punching shear capacity of strengthened slabs was less than that of
FRP. In addition, the slabs strengthened by TRM showed stiffer behavior than that
strengthened by FRP, but lesser ductile. TRM effectiveness was sensitive to the mesh
size of the textile. When the mesh size decreased, stiffness was increased and ductility
was decreased.
Studies on geometrical featured metallic shell structures for inward inversionIAEME Publication
This document summarizes research on the inward inversion of metallic shell structures with various geometric features for energy absorption applications. Experiments were conducted using an Instron testing machine to apply loads and measure force-displacement responses for aluminum shell samples with different shapes, wall thicknesses, steps, and curvatures. Finite element simulations of the inversion process matched well with experimental force-displacement graphs and stress distributions. Key findings include frusta with 6-7 degree angles absorbed the most energy, while steps and uneven curvatures reduced energy absorption and caused unstable force responses. Thicker shells and straighter top portions also improved energy absorption performance during inversion.

BROAD UNEXPOSED SKILLS OF TRANSGENDER ENTREPRENEURSIAEME Publication
Since ages gender difference is always a debatable theme whether caused by nature, evolution or environment. The birth of a transgender is dreadful not only for the child but also for their parents. The pain of living in the wrong physique and treated as second class victimized citizen is outrageous and fully harboured with vicious baseless negative scruples. For so long, social exclusion had perpetuated inequality and deprivation experiencing ingrained malign stigma and besieged victims of crime or violence across their life spans. They are pushed into the murky way of life with a source of eternal disgust, bereft sexual potency and perennial fear. Although they are highly visible but very little is known about them. The common public needs to comprehend the ravaged arrogance on these insensitive souls and assist in integrating them into the mainstream by offering equal opportunity, treat with humanity and respect their dignity. Entrepreneurship in the current age is endorsing the gender fairness movement. Unstable careers and economic inadequacy had inclined one of the gender variant people called Transgender to become entrepreneurs. These tiny budding entrepreneurs resulted in economic transition by means of employment, free from the clutches of stereotype jobs, raised standard of living and handful of financial empowerment. Besides all these inhibitions, they were able to witness a platform for skill set development that ignited them to enter into entrepreneurial domain. This paper epitomizes skill sets involved in trans-entrepreneurs of Thoothukudi Municipal Corporation of Tamil Nadu State and is a groundbreaking determination to sightsee various skills incorporated and the impact on entrepreneurship.

Living in 21st century in itself reminds all of us the necessity of police and its administration. As more and more we are entering into the modern society and culture, the more we require the services of the so called ‘Khaki Worthy’ men i.e., the police personnel. Whether we talk of Indian police or the other nation’s police, they all have the same recognition as they have in India. But as already mentioned, their services and requirements are different after the like 26th November, 2008 incidents, where they without saving their own lives has sacrificed themselves without any hitch and without caring about their respective family members and wards. In other words, they are like our heroes and mentors who can guide us from the darkness of fear, militancy, corruption and other dark sides of life and so on. Now the question arises, if Gandhi would have been alive today, what would have been his reaction/opinion to the police and its functioning? Would he have some thing different in his mind now what he had been in his mind before the partition or would he be going to start some Satyagraha in the form of some improvement in the functioning of the police administration? Really these questions or rather night mares can come to any one’s mind, when there is too much confusion is prevailing in our minds, when there is too much corruption in the society and when the polices working is also in the questioning because of one or the other case throughout the India. It is matter of great concern that we have to thing over our administration and our practical approach because the police personals are also like us, they are part and parcel of our society and among one of us, so why we all are pin pointing towards them.

ROLE OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIA - PROBLEMS AND ...IAEME Publication
The majority of the population in India lives in villages. The village is the back bone of the country. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Developing the rural economy is one of the key indicators towards a country’s success. Whether it be the need to look after the welfare of the farmers or invest in rural infrastructure, Governments have to ensure that rural development isn’t compromised. The economic development of our country largely depends on the progress of rural areas and the standard of living of rural masses. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Rural entrepreneurship is based on stimulating local entrepreneurial talent and the subsequent growth of indigenous enterprises. It recognizes opportunity in the rural areas and accelerates a unique blend of resources either inside or outside of agriculture. Rural entrepreneurship brings an economic value to the rural sector by creating new methods of production, new markets, new products and generate employment opportunities thereby ensuring continuous rural development. Social Entrepreneurship has the direct and primary objective of serving the society along with the earning profits. So, social entrepreneurship is different from the economic entrepreneurship as its basic objective is not to earn profits but for providing innovative solutions to meet the society needs which are not taken care by majority of the entrepreneurs as they are in the business for profit making as a sole objective. So, the Social Entrepreneurs have the huge growth potential particularly in the developing countries like India where we have huge societal disparities in terms of the financial positions of the population. Still 22 percent of the Indian population is below the poverty line and also there is disparity among the rural & urban population in terms of families living under BPL. 25.7 percent of the rural population & 13.7 percent of the urban population is under BPL which clearly shows the disparity of the poor people in the rural and urban areas. The need to develop social entrepreneurship in agriculture is dictated by a large number of social problems. Such problems include low living standards, unemployment, and social tension. The reasons that led to the emergence of the practice of social entrepreneurship are the above factors. The research problem lays upon disclosing the importance of role of social entrepreneurship in rural development of India. The paper the tendencies of social entrepreneurship in India, to present successful examples of such business for providing recommendations how to improve situation in rural areas in terms of social entrepreneurship development. Indian government has made some steps towards development of social enterprises, social entrepreneurship, and social in- novation, but a lot remains to be improved.

HCL Notes and Domino License Cost Reduction in the World of DLAUpanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-notes-and-domino-license-cost-reduction-in-the-world-of-dlau/
The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. You probably have questions on how this new licensing approach works and how to benefit from it. Most importantly, you likely have budget constraints and want to save money where possible. Don’t worry, we can help with all of this!
We’ll show you how to fix common misconfigurations that cause higher-than-expected user counts, and how to identify accounts which you can deactivate to save money. There are also frequent patterns that can cause unnecessary cost, like using a person document instead of a mail-in for shared mailboxes. We’ll provide examples and solutions for those as well. And naturally we’ll explain the new licensing model.
Join HCL Ambassador Marc Thomas in this webinar with a special guest appearance from Franz Walder. It will give you the tools and know-how to stay on top of what is going on with Domino licensing. You will be able lower your cost through an optimized configuration and keep it low going forward.
These topics will be covered
- Reducing license cost by finding and fixing misconfigurations and superfluous accounts
- How do CCB and CCX licenses really work?
- Understanding the DLAU tool and how to best utilize it
- Tips for common problem areas, like team mailboxes, functional/test users, etc
- Practical examples and best practices to implement right away
zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...Alex Pruden
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.
