Factors Influencing Entrepreneurial Intention Among Public...
influencing factors of entrepreneurial intention among public and private universities in Malaysia.
Research questions hoped to be answered by this study is framed from the background, problem
statements and literatures reviewed. These questions are stated below:
Q1: Does entrepreneurial education influence entrepreneurial intention among public and private
universities?
Q2: Does students at private and public universities perceive government support effective factors to
become an entrepreneur?
With these two questions the objectives are stated as follows
i. To investigate and compare the role of entrepreneurial education between public and private
universities students ii. To examine the perception of students towards social support for
entrepreneurial activities in Malaysia.
2.0 LITERATURE REVIEW
2.1 Entrepreneurial Intention
Investigating factors that influence entrepreneurial intention, several theories had being applied by
different scholars for example, studying role or influence of education on intention of entrepreneurs,
the two most prominent theories are Ajzen s Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Sahpero and
Sokol s theory of entrepreneurial model. Intention as described by Davison (1995) is the urge to do or
to act in response to something. While Krueger, Reilly, and Carsrud (2000) said an entrepreneurial
intention is a way of thinking emphasizing opportunities over threats stating that businesses are not
started by reflex but by analyzing and responding to

Character Development In Hamlet And Agamemnon By John F....
A story is generally comprised of five essential elements: characters, setting, plot, conflict and
resolution (Penguin Young Readers Group). The characters are a critical component of any story
because they allow the readers to relate with different types of behaviour, visualize personalities and
engage accordingly. The following stories are centralized around a single character and they all
succeed in capturing audience interest: Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, Agamemnon by Aeschylus,
and Secret Society Speech by John F. Kennedy. The use of character development in each of the
stories is truly effective in gaining audience sympathy and support. The authors introduce the
protagonist with sufficient information and maintain that consistency such that the reader can connect
with each character and their respective traits and emotions. The similarities in character development
are evident as they all target the audience directly using pity. The character of Hamlet showcases his
true feelings through his internal conflict (which is oftentimes open for audience interpretation) that
develops into an external conflict. The character of Clytemnestra uses her daughter s death to justify
her actions and thus, seeks pity from her kingdom as well as the audience. President John F. Kennedy
portrays his confidence, fearlessness and competency by addressing the audience head on about
criticism of his administration and other errors/wrong doings . Despite being uniquely different
characters (two fictional and one non fictional), each protagonist depicts their traits from the
beginning, allowing the audience to relate at a personal level.
The following similarities are apparent examples of effective character development and reader
engagement. Hamlet is introduced in a gloomy mood earlier in Act II as King Claudius asks, How is it
that the clouds still hang on you? (Shakespeare, Hamlet: Act 1, Scene 2, Page 3 ). Shakespeare
strategically utilizes the character of Hamlet to slowly develop the plot such that the readers
understand Hamlet s hatred of Claudius and his mother Gertrude. Similarly, Aeschylus begins with a
watchman announcing the fall of Troy, followed by the chorus stating how King Agamemnon
sacrificed his

Walt Disney Informative Speech
Walt Disney Walt Disney is arguable the most famous animator and movie maker of all time. When
you think of animated movies, I am willing to bet that most of you immediately thought of Disney, or
something along those lines. I am here to tell you the story of Walter Elias Disney s professional
career as a business man and movie producer. The Disney Company got off to a rough start but ended
up pretty successful in the end. The Company started out small, in 1922, making one to two minute
advertisements. The Company sadly went bankrupt in 1923, only a year after the start of the
Company. Walt and his brother Roy packed up camp and went to Hollywood, California, where they

The Effect Of Anti Microbial Products On Zone Of Inhibition
The Effect of Anti Microbial Products on Zone of Inhibition
Background Information:
Bacteria, singular form bacterium, are microorganisms which belong to their own animal kingdom
Kingdom Monera. All bacteria are alive and require to reproduce and eat. In the experiment, the
bacteria used is called Staphylococcus aureus, which can cause a variety of diseases (e.g. meningitis,
boils and abscesses, osteomyelitis, pneumonia etc.). Various strains of Staphylococcus aureus are
resistant to some antibiotics and has become a health concern. As more and more antibiotics are used
to treat bacterial infections/diseases, eventually there will be a point when the bacterium will grow
immune to it. Thus, this makes Staphylococcus aureus serious as it almost completely immune to
benzyl penicillin.
Within the experimented there were three different anti microbial products that were investigated
Bosisto s Eucalyptus Oil 200mL, Bleach and Coles Methylated Spirits.
According to the bottle with the eucalyptus oil, it had claimed that it is 100% pure with
pharmaceutical eucalyptus oil derived from Eucalyptus polybractera (Blue Mallee). This product can
be applied on minor wounds, cold and flu symptoms, aches and pains, stains, clothing as well as
cleaning but has no claims about what percentage of bacteria it kills but online sources claim it as one
of the most effective methods of curing Staphylococcus aureus.
The bleach used in the practical had no claims but according to online

A Pioneer s Style Of Giving Guidance, Executing...
An administration style is a pioneer s style of giving guidance, executing arrangements, and rousing
people. There are a wide range of initiative styles proposed by different creators, that can be shown by
pioneers in the political, business or different fields. Concentrates on administration style are led in the
military field, communicating an approach that anxieties an all encompassing perspective of initiative,
including how a pioneer s physical nearness decides how others see that pioneer. The elements of
physical nearness are military bearing, physical wellness, certainty, and flexibility. The pioneer s
scholarly limit conceptualizes arrangements and procure learning to carry out the employment. A
pioneer s reasonable capacities apply spryness, judgment, development, interpersonal propriety, and
space information. Space learning envelops strategic and specialized information and also social and
geopolitical awareness. Daniel Goleman (2000) in his article Authority that Gets Results discusses six
styles of leadership.
As Managing Director of Spark, Simon Moutter is in charge of the general initiative, vital bearing and
administration of Spark New Zealand, through its different business divisions and the brands that give
computerized administrations to a huge number of New Zealanders and a huge number of New
Zealand organizations. Simon has driven the reevaluation of Telecom to Spark New Zealand, with a

The Importance Of Light Channels For RZ And WDM...
At the transmitter side, our system consist of WDM transmitter for RZ and NRZ modulation, and a
CW laser array is used for the radiation of light waves. It is one that emits radiation continuously
rather than in short bursts, as in pulsed laser. Externally modulated subsystem consists of Pseudo
Random Bit Sequence (PRBS) generator, NRZ Pulse generator, two Mach Zehnder modulators a sine
carrier for CSRZ modulation. WDM multiplexer multiplexes 8 number of WDM signal channels. The
transmission channel consist of single mode fiber (SMF), dispersion compensation fiber (DCF) and
EDFA. EDFA is used to compensate the attenuation losses occurring in SMF and DCF. Then a

The performance of spectrally efficient WDM system is analyzed in terms of Q factor, BER and
optical spectrum of the signal. Q factor is given as: (4)
Where and are the average values of signal strength depending on whether the bit corresponds to 1 or
0 in the bit stream [9]. The relationship between Q factor and bit error rate is given as: (5) Where erfc
denotes the complementary error function [10].
III. RESULTS DISCUSSIONS
We have one 8 channel DWDM system operating at 10 Gbps with channel spacing of 100 GHz and
the transmission distance of 86 Km. We have made a comparative analysis of the system by using RZ,
NRZ and CSRZ modulation schemes and at various power levels. As the signal passes through the
fiber the nonlinear effects such as XPM, FWM, SPM, SRS and SBS contribute to nonlinear changes
like increase in channel power for some channels while decreasing power for the other channels.
When transmitter consist of 8 DWDM channels, 3 dBm power and NRZ modulation then eye diagram
bit error rate, quality factor at receiver is shown in fig. 3, at 3 dBm power level we are achieving a
quality factor of 5.99039 with BER of 9.69935e 010, when we increase the power level to 7 dBm

Hofstede s Six Cultural Dimensions
Hofstede s Six Cultural Dimensions
The Hofstede s six cultural dimensions were created collectively by Geert Hofstede, Michael Bond,
and Michael Minkov. These dimensions of culture were created to view how values in the workplace
were influence by a particular culture of a given country. Essentially, it was a tool to describe how
workforces in different countries operate under their own culture. There are currently six different
dimensions of national cultures; power distance, uncertainty avoidance, individualism, masculinity,
long term orientation, and indulgence versus restraint. Professor Greet Hofstede was the creator of the
first four cultural dimensions, back in 1973. Roughly two decades later, Michael Bond with the
support of Hofstede created the fifth dimension, in 1991. Recently in the 2010, the last dimension was
added to the list, by Michael Minkov and his research team (Minkoy Hofstede, 2011). The first four
dimensions discovered by Hofstede, dealt with four different anthropological issues that were handled
differently from nation to nation. These issues involved; methods of coping with inequality and
uncertainty, relationships within a primary group, and the emotional significance of having been born
as male or female (National, n.d.). The fifth dimension is long term orientation. Long term orientation
provides the idea that a given culture or country prefers to do things in an old fashion manner or in a
modernized pragmatic approach. The last dimension,

Porter s Five Forces tool apparatus is straightforward and it comprehends where the force is in a
business. It examinations the qualities of the organizations present position furthermore the qualities
of the position the business in moving to.
It is extremely helpful as the business can enhance shortcomings, exploit the qualities and abstain
From settling on wrong choices.
Watchman s Five Forces accept that there are five strengths that decide focused force inside of

Supplier force respects the supplier energy to expand the cost of his item or administration and it
Is driven by the points of interest the supplier has over the business. This can be given by the
interesting of their items and administrations, the expense of supplier switch or the favourable
circumstances this one has over a business. The less the quantity of suppliers of the same items the
higher force they have over the organization.
Buyer power respects the purchaser s energy to diminish the cost of the item or administration. It

Mercury Surface
Mercury
The surface of Mercury is littered with craters. These craters are believed to have been created by
collisions from debris. Mercurys craters range from small circular craters to multi ridged impact basin.
These basin are formed either when there was a large collision followed by a few small collisions or
from many smaller collisions. The largest known crater on Mercury is called the Caloris Basin. This
crater has a diameter of approximately 1500 kilometres across and surprisingly resides in a rather flat
part of Mercurys surface.
However we see that the full surface of Mercury is not cratered and that there is sections of Mercurys
surface that looks untouched we call these sections smooth plains. These plains are not believed to
have been created by volcanic activity on Mercurys surface.
Venus
Venus atmosphere and climate has been studied carefully as it is believed this is what our atmosphere
may come to be in the future. With an atmosphere made up of approximately 96.5% carbon dioxide
and 3.5% nitrogen it has an astonishing atmospheric pressure of about 1352 pounds per square inch
which is approximately 90 times that of Earths.

Primordial Soup Hypothesis
This biology essay is going to contain facts about the original cells and how they developed and how
they got to Earth.
The Primordial Soup hypothesis a statement hypothesizing that life could have started in the ocean.
Alexander Oparin and John Haldane came up with the idea, they hypothesized that with the gases in
the atmosphere the energy from lightning strikes could spontaneously form amino acids in the oceans.
Their theory was tested in 1953 by Stanley Miller and Harold Urey. They combined the atmospheres
gases and sent constant lightning strikes through the air. However now there is doubt that their
experiment was liable because there is never actually constant lightning strikes in the real world. Iron
Sulfur World Hypothesis is a hypothesis ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The cells evolved in the vents and escaped the vent later on. The hydrogen saturated alkaline water
meeting acidic oceanic water this would create the right conditions to convert carbon dioxide and
hydrogen into organic carbon containing molecules which can for the building blocks of life such as
nucleotides and amino acids. The RNA world in the early development of life on the earth genetic
continuity was assured by the replication of RNA, Base pairing was the key to replication. RNA
stands for ribonucleic acid The RNA world existed before the DNA world and genetically encoded
proteins were not involved as the catalysts, DNA is protein based life. The Community Clay
Hypothesis is a statement brought up by Cairns Smith in 1982. Smith says that just like clay when you
copy layers of DNA it will come out very similar so if there is a defect on the layer of clay it will
translate to the next layer of clay. But there are also other key issues, sometimes the clay will expand
quicker or dry faster than the previous layer making the outcome change slightly. Another example is
small particles can be readily dispersed by the wind and it could change the way the clay

No matter how you wrap, roll or serve Mexican food, it is sure to be delicious! I could eat fajitas,
burritos, enchiladas or tamales every day and never get tired of this wonderful cuisine. My waistline,
however, may show the damage. The downfall of many Mexican dishes is the high content of fat
found in ingredients such as ground beef and pork, re fried beans, sour cream and often large amounts
of cheese. With this simple Mexican lasagna, I will replace the traditional ground beef with tofu
crumbles. This swap not only makes the meal vegetarian, it cuts out most of the saturated fat, which
has been linked with high cholesterol levels and cardiovascular disease. I will reduce the fat content
and calories further by using black beans instead of re fried beans. As for the cheese, I will use non fat

Active Shooter
Active School Shooter Introduction The intention of this paper is to look at and present some issues
and strategies that members of a school community think about when trying to create safer schools.
Particularly when addressing an active shooter in a school setting. A major issue to consider when
trying to keep all schools safe, is the simple fact that no two schools are the same. Understanding this
can lead us to the conclusion that it is impossible to have one global plan or program that can be 100%
effective in all schools. Violence prevention programs work best when they incorporate multiple
strategies and address the full range of possible acts of violence in schools. For any set of policies to
work, it must be established and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It would be a wise idea for school administrators to have a comprehensive security assessment of the
school s physical design, safety policies, and emergency procedures. Once again this must be
conducted with the cooperation of school staff, emergency personnel, students, and other school
community members. Every school has different needs and safety plans may vary. According to the
IACP (International Association of Chiefs of Police), there are twenty recommended actions that can
be used to prevent violence in a school setting. 1. Use school resource officers (SROs) who may be
provided by local law enforcement. SROs often provide law enforcement, law related counseling, and
law related education to students, faculty, and staff. Continuity of officers in individual schools should
be encouraged, so that students and SROs develop a rapport. 2. Consider seeking one or more
probation officers for use on campus to help supervise and counsel students. This would be especially
appropriate for high schools with a significant caseload of juveniles on probation. 3. Use trained
personnel paid or volunteer selected specifically to assist teachers and administrators in monitoring
student behavior and activities. Continuity of monitors within schools should be encouraged to
facilitate good rapport with students. Monitors should be trained on the different types of violence
likely to occur in the

Throughout world history, many manifestations occurred which led to horrific demeanors. In 1981,
Todd Strasser wrote a fictionalized novel known as The Wave, based on a real life event about an
experiment. This experiment, conducted in 1969 by Ron Jones in Palo Alto, California, proves how
effortlessly fascism can corrupt people. This experiment begins with a student s question about the
Holocaust which Jones cannot answer. The Holocaust was a horrific event that occurred from 1933 to
1945. This atrocity was initiated by Adolf Hitler, who tortured and murdered over eleven million
Jewish people in extermination camps. Today, the Holocaust is considered genocide, a word that was

In the final years of the war, Himmler and Eichmann proposed the concept to place the Jewish people
in camps and eliminate the rest of the Jewish people before the war was over; this concept was known
as the Final Solution. These SS soldiers are the main cause of the Holocaust because they were the
group that fully helped consummate Hitler s idea to remove the Jewish people out of Germany and, in
the end, they gave the orders to mass murder any Jew alive. In the pre war years, the Nazi Party
wanted to find a solution to the Jewish question meaning what to do with them ( Final Solution
Learning). On July 31, 1941, Heydrich submitted the draft of the measures he proposed to undertake
to implement the desired final solution of the Jewish Question ( SS ). In the fall of 1941, the Nazi
soldiers implemented the plan and began to effectuate it by experimental gassings in the Auschwitz
extermination camp and then moving forth to surrounding camps ( Final Solution Learning). Between
then and 1945, the top SS soldiers continued to give the orders to torture, mass shoot, gas (especially
in constructed extermination camps), enforce murderous labor, and other means ( Holocaust ). The
ideas, which were thought of by Himmler, Eichmann, and Heydrich, are what allowed for this
brutality to cause such a large scale genocide. Despite the eleven million

The Immediate Causes Of Starvation In African Americans
1. Mehta s purpose was to report how Indians ironically starved without a shortage of food, a scenario
that she compares to starvation in the United States at the end of her writing. She most directly
indicates this purpose in paragraph eight, where she states It must be hard to be hungry when food is
plentiful. and It must be hard to be hungry, even in the U.S.A. (522).
2. The immediate cause of the starvation was the black marketeers hoarding the food and only selling
it for very high prices. A street food vendor offered three options to its customers: A price to see the
food. A higher price to smell the food. [And, a] third price to eat the food. (Mehta 522).

The Issue of Transnational Aid Intervention
The issue of transnational aid intervention has become a worldwide topic for debate regarding its role
in ethics and legitimacy in international relations. Historically, international aid had been provided by
developed worlds governments. However, aid provided by the developed world became problematic
because of international treaties, violation of state sovereignty, and the spread of capitalist enterprises
(Willetts). In addition to, many of the developing world leaders, consider the concept of aid
intervention to be potentially threatening and an excuse for more powerful nations to undermine and
threaten their state sovereignty through a change in the nations economic and social discourses
(Willetts). In an attempt to counterbalance this predicament, institutions known as Non Governmental
Organizations (NGOs) were formed to emphasize humanitarian issues, developmental aid and
sustainable development (Willetts). An NGO is defined as a citizen based association that operates
independently of government, usually to deliver resources or serve some social or political purpose
(Willetts 1). Currently, NGOs play a crucial role in providing mechanisms which enhance global
human progress. To understand the work of NGOs one must know the history of humanitarian aid and
developmental assistance. History of Humanitarian Aid and Developmental Assistance Humanitarian
aid is defined as physical resources and or logistical assistance intended to save lives, alleviate

problematic sexual behaviors (Stinson and Becker, 1). It encourages a collaborative approach that

Loss Of Innocence In Jane Eyre
In the 1800s, the idea of a lowly governess marrying a rich estate owner was absord, if not impossible.
However, this is precisely what the protagonist in Charlotte Brontë s novel, Jane Eyre did through her
fiery persistence and passion. Jane grew up in her aunt s house, Gateshead, where she was unwanted
by even the servants. However, when Jane is ten years old she is sent a way to a boarding school for
girls called Lowood, which is led by an extremely hypocritical Mr. Brocklehurst. After spending 6
years as a student and 2 years as a teacher at Lowood she finds a job as a governess for a French girl at
an estate named Thornfield. Jane slowly but surely begins to fall in love with the house s owner, Mr.

John, Diana, and Mary. While Jane finds true friendship in Diana and Mary, St. John is cold, and has
an extremely negative effect on Jane s livelihood. While Jane and St. John are in the middle of an

apprised you that I was a hard man, said he, And I am a hard woman impossible to put off. And then,
he pursued, I am cold: no fervor infects me. Whereas I am hot, and fire dissolves ice. The blaze there
has thawed all the snow from your cloak (416). While St. John and Jane can be quite similar in their
stubbornness and their passion for what they believe in, St. John is cold, and acts completely on logic
and what he believes is right, while Jane has impulsive tendencies and thinks one should balance
emotion with spiritual morals. This divide between them proves to cause even more problems in the
future, when St. John attempts to convince Jane to accompany him to India. One day, when he is
teaching her Hindustani Jane realizes, He acquired a certain influence over me that took away my
liberty of mind...I could no longer talk or laugh freely...vivacity (at least in me) was distasteful...I fell
under a freezing spell. When he said go, I went: come, I came, do this, I did it. But I did not love my
servitude (432). The effect St. John has on Jane is strong enough to completely take away her fiery
personality and replace it with his own icy and emotionless one. While Jane was at Thornfield with
Mr. Rochester she happily called him her master and was eager to serve him. However, while at Moor
House with St. John she dreads the servitude with him because instead of enhance her passion, he

Time upon time, and many ages ago, there was an ancient planet called Kaspaar. This land was so old,
no inhabitant alive could remember the year of the creation of the world. This land is much like ours.
We could even live there, in fact, with no ill effects. The way it looks, though, is very different from
Earth. It may have mountains similar to ours, but its turquoise waters teem with rainbow colored fish,
and that fair planet s bluish lands bristles with life.
There is intelligent life, called aquila, that lives there. They are very different from us, because they
are not humans. Their stature is an average of seven feet, and they have eagle s faces. The feathers on
their head grow rather like a shirt that drapes to mid chest over their lithe brown bodies. They have
beautiful white wings, and a golden lion like tail. In matters of clothing, by our standards, is very
scanty, because all they wear is a leather garment that goes down well past their knees, fingerless
gloves to protect their hands, and toeless boots that wrap around their backwards knees like a glove.
They have excellent memories, but do not always do the right thing.
They are divided into seven tribes; the Fire, Air, Snow, Wind, Water, Lightning, and Snake Tribes. In
all of these tribes, there are many forest, mountain, and ground villages. It is in one of these villages
where our story is set...

Essay on The Necessity of Selfishness
Previously, parents quickly taught their children the importance of sharing and considering others
needs before their own. They expected their offspring to submissively sacrifice incongruent desires
and wishes. Parents did not tolerate selfishness from anyone at anytime. Then came the millennials,
also called the me generation. The typical millennial, concerned only with his or her own happiness,
pursues self satisfaction relentlessly. They only reflect upon their fellow man s needs when it benefits
them. Millennials have been called lazy, selfish, and worthless by their peers. This leads one to ponder
selfishness roots, how it became such an undesirable trait and whether or not it actually impairs
society. Through Atlas Shrugged, Ayn ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She simply argues that they should embrace selfishness enough to align their values and their lives.
She sates that, the most selfish of all things is the independent mind. (Rand 943)
With selfishness clearly defined, Rand uses the plot to illustrate her conviction. She begins by calling
destruction sacrifice s result. When United States citizens contentedly give control to the government,
everything falls apart. Businesses go bankrupt following corrupt laws in fairness name. People starve
and disappear. The government mistreats and abuses the public in every form; however, they refuse to
question their actions or even think. I feel as if...as if there s no people and no human language left...I
feel that someone is screaming in the middle of the streets, but people are passing by and no sound can
reach them. (Rand 406) Eddie wilders captures what happens when people willingly sacrifice
themselves because a stranger orders it without revealing why. When humanity will not use their
minds, think, analyze or even question, when they rely solely on emotion, destruction will inevitably
follow. Any refusal to accept reality, for any reason whatever, has disastrous consequences.

Insider trading is essentially the trading of confidential information that is basically sold to the highest
bidder. David Hilzenrath, a journalist, describes, Given the scope of the allegations to date, we are not
talking simply about the occasional corrupt individual, we re talking about something verging on a
corrupt business model... (Hilzenrath). Hilzenrath is suggesting that Wall Street as a whole is being
deceitful and doing more than they are letting the public know. Insider trading is not a victimless
crime, it takes advantage of honest investors. It is easy to stereotype the rich as greedy due to how
they attain their wealth through power but the middle class can be just as greedy by trying to live

Eukaryotic Genome Editing
INTRODUCTION
With the development of biological technologies, a new era of making and manipulating DNA
sequences has come. Molecular biologists have gained the ability to delete, insert, isolate DNA
sequences and gene fragments, as well as to make targeted modifications to the genome in vitro, in
cells, and in model organisms. These technologies have made it possible to study genes and DNA
fragments by dissecting the functions of complex genes and specific regulatory elements. For
biological research, powerful genome editing tools will contribute to the understanding of genes,
proteins, and biological systems networks. The genome engineering also benefits a broad range of
applications, such as: stimulating new generations of drug development and medical therapeutics,
increasing agricultural crop products.
Ever since the discovery of DNA double helix structure, Eukaryotic organisms genome editing has
attracted widespread attention, and biologists have been attempting different techniques to introduce
site specific modifications to the genomes of cells and model organisms. However, it is difficult to
manipulate Eukaryotic genomes as they usually contain billions of DNA base pairs. Different genome
editing methods, including specific designed oligonucleotides or cross linking reagents (1), peptide

Analysis Of Mirrors By Lucy Grealy
What really determines something to be beautiful. In Lucy Grealy s narrative, Mirrors , she describes
her journey of finding her own idea of beauty. As a child she had cancer in her face so she had surgery
to remove but it caused her face to be deformed. Consequently, she was bullied because of the way
she looked, which caused her self esteem to lower immensely. As a result, she had undergone many
surgeries and even went as far as to travel to another country to try and fix her face. Therefore, as she
gets older she not only alters herself physically but mentally. She finally realizes that how people see
us should not influence how we view ourselves not only physically but mentally as well. So she
decides to never look at a mirror because she feels she does not have to to know what she looks like
anymore. She finally accepted the way she looks and started focussing on her personal well being and
recognizes that s what is actually important. Society has a critical impact on the way we see ourselves
because of the way social media shows us that we should look a certain way, people telling us we
should look a certain way, your negative thoughts about how you look, and how society determines
your value based on looks.
Social media has a big influence on this generation when it comes to body image. Many women, or

The Pros And Cons Of Stricter Gun Control Laws
Following the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, lawmakers have begun
reconsidering the gun laws that are currently in place. Many states have previously implemented red
flag laws (Johnson 2). However, after the recent events, lawmakers are debating on whether or not
those laws are enough. Of course, to most people, stronger gun control laws seems like an obvious
decision, but it is not that easy. Gun control laws are complicated. It is a balancing act in the United
States between public safety and the right to bear arms (Mueller 2). Lawmakers must carefully
balance the safety and constitutional rights of citizens. This is difficult to do when everyone has
different values and points of view. The previously mentioned

One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich
One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn s Faith
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn is a professed Christian. However, according to some critics, this does not
necessarily make his writings quot;Christian quot; (Schmemann 39). Biblical principles can clearly be
identified in One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich. They can be seen through Solzhenitsyn s views
on the world as a divine creation, the nature of evil, and faith in the future.
The Christian faith is rooted in the belief that God created everything, and that it is good. According to
Christian belief, God has a plan for His creation, and therefore there is no need to be pessimistic. At
first, this Christian view seems an unlikely fit with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Shukhov s attribution of nature to a divine Creator is a fundamental Christian belief (Zamoyska 216).
The nature of evil, from the Christian standpoint, is that all evil comes from man s sin. This makes
evil a very personal force, rather than something abstract. Schmemann describes the Christian idea of
evil as a fall. He states that evil is quot;this fall from on high and the horror, grief and suffering it
evokes quot; (41). Evil, or sin, is controlled by the individual. Each person has the ability to choose
between right and wrong. In many parts of the novel, prisoners must decide whether or not to help
their prison mates. When Shukhov goes to the infirmary, his fellow prisoners save his rations, so he
may eat (Solzhenitsyn 25). Later, Tsezar decides to give Shukhov the rest of his cigarette instead of
giving it to Fetyukov (31). The Russian authorities and guards have made the decision to carry out the
injustices of the prison camp. The freedom of the individual to choose right from wrong, an important
idea in Christianity, is obviously present in this novel.
Finally, Solzhenitsyn s novel expresses one of the most important Christian principles, hope for the
future. In Christianity, since Christ paid the price for the sins of the world, there are no lost causes.
Christians have faith that Christ will return someday and that there will be a heaven. In the same way,
in the midst of the terrible conditions of the prison camp, Shukhov can be pleased at

chapter, the researcher describes how the businesses and educational organizations use cloud
computing technology and how they benefit from using it. In addition, the researcher also covers the
advantages of cloud computing from an economic perspective. Then, the researcher will give an
explanation of how cloud computing technology relates toward intercultural communication in the

computing for firms and educational organizations by governing cloud computing in the institution.
3.1 Cloud computing for commercial organizations For commercial organizations, cloud computing
does not mean putting all data information in virtual storage on the Internet network such as iCloud,

firm and business to gain lower barriers to entry into business because of cost effectiveness in IT, the
ability can grow faster, the significant scalability and flexibility of IT bases and cloud services. On the
other hand, the cloud computing technology is not a miracle service, which always benefits every

Rock And Roll Impact On American Culture
Rock Roll
Rock Roll is a form of popular music that emerged in the United States in the late 40s and early 50s
from a fusion of blues, country and gospel, boogie woogie, swing and folk music. All of these
influences combined into a simple song structure, with 12 bar blues being one of the most significant
characteristics, that was often repetitive, fast, danceable and catchy. In fact, blues had the biggest
impact that gave birth to Rock Roll. Typical instruments of Rock Roll include electric guitar, piano,
bass, drums, horns and vocals. It is an important genre of music because it has the power to not only
influence but persist through generations of people and has had a huge impact on American society by
consistently setting the trend for pop music. Just like its influence on other forms of music, Rock Roll
had also influenced lifestyles, fashion, attitudes, television, language and dance. ... Show more content

Why Is Oscar Wilde A Literary Critic
I was a man who stood in the symbolic relations to the art and culture of my age.
The late Victorian period saw a revolution in the spheres of art and literature. John Ruskin, Matthew
Arnold, Walter Pater and Oscar Wilde were among the most influential art and literary critics of the
mid and late Victorian period. They baffled the British opinion with their brand new stance on
literature, paintings, and sculptures. They turned criticism into a brand new form of art. Their new
theories were utterly modern and absolutely new for the period, which has come to be known as The
English Renaissance of Art. This English Renaissance of Art was defined by Oscar Wilde as: a sort of

One critic complained about Wilde s Pen, Pencil and Poison and wrote, that the joke had gone far
enough. Other reviewers wished that Wilde would get on with thought itself, and dropped his showy
paradoxes in order to devote himself to writing something more solid and reasonable. Wilde s
Intentions according to Lawrence Danson: shows the ability to gather up fragments, to call and reply
to simultaneously themselves and others like the stringed lute on which all winds can play or the twice

knowledge of previous critical writings. But as Jonathan Freedman s introduction to A collection of
Critical Essays shows, Wilde s criticism was long left unstudied, as it was thought to be too
flamboyant. His criticism was overshadowed by his personal life: Ass thete or aesthete, gay saint or
poéte maudit. Those were the roles Wilde played in the classrooms and criticism for most of the
twentieth century. Freedman goes on to say that: only a few serious accounts of his work could be
found, particularly in the later days of new criticism; but it was largely for his flamboyant life and
exhibit of decadence that Wilde was considered. The interest in Oscar Wilde s critical writings is quite
recent and a few

The Beef With Antibiotics
The Beef with Antibiotics
In recent years, Americans have been blaming antibiotics used in animals to be processed for food for
many of the growing number of health problems in developed countries. Fast food restaurants are
making movements to remove antibiotic treated meats from their menus. This movement is causing
quite the stir in consumers and livestock producers alike. Do the antibiotics used in beef really
contribute to antibiotic resistant diseases? Should antibiotics be outlawed in the use of farm animals?
The eradication of antibiotic use in America s beef industry is not feasible due to its usage in the
treatment and control of deadly or discomforting diseases.
Presently, speculations have risen about the amount of antibiotics used in the livestock industry and
the desire to consume antibiotic free meats. What is not understood, however, is the USDA has been
monitoring the amount of antimicrobial residue in meats for several years. If unsafe levels are detected
the meat is not allowed to be sold for human consumption. Yet, fast food chains such as Subway and
Chipotle are claiming to go completely antibiotic free within the next decade. The practicality of this
becoming a reality is slim due to the need to control, treat, and prevent diseases. To truly understand
the importance of the antibiotic usage in cattle it must first be understood what antibiotics are and the
reasons they are used. Additionally, the use of vaccinations should be taken into account for the

The Use of Imagery and Irony in Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby has been around for ages; it is a story of a young man in the 1920 s who is thrown

arrogant eyes had established dominance over his face and gave him the appearance of always leaning
aggressively forward (7).He also describes Gatsby a little while later when he is coming over to Nick s
because his long lost love (Daisy), who is Tom s wife, is coming over for tea. Gatsby, in a white
flannel suit, silver shirt, and gold colored tie, hurried in. He was pale, and there were dark signs of
sleeplessness beneath his eyes (84). Nick s description of Tom automatically makes the reader feel like
they don t like him. He s arrogant and by his description doesn t seem very nice. This is the difference
between the new rich and the old rich. Tom doesn t show it off in clothing or material things but more
in his attitude, he thinks he s better than everyone and dominant. Gatsby, on the other hand, doesn t
have that kind of attitude. Rather he wears things to show off his wealth. He is wearing gold and silver
to display that he is wealthy. The author uses imagery to help the reader understand the two worlds
Nick is dealing with.

Using Alphabet Charts Are Ideal
Using alphabet charts are ideal
Little kids love exploring the world they live in and just by doing this; they learn a lot in the process.
These little tikes are like sponges. They engross understanding by seeing their parents or elders,
frolicking and by putting their five senses to use.
Considering the fact that these kids need live experiences to learn, they should be given the same
experiences when teaching them with alphabets or letters. In such cases a printable alphabet chart is
ideal.
If you need a rich and properly printed ABC chart, then there are plenty of free templates available
online. These come in both black and white as well as colored formats and are easily downloadable.
What is an alphabet chart?
An alphabet chart contains all 26 letters with corresponding pictures, and they are designed to help
kids learn and recognize each letter properly. An ABC chart proves to be an effective tool in the early
part of your kid s learning, reading/reviewing letter and formation of words.
Reading the ABC chart with your kiddo
When starting with an alphabet chart, it is important for you to analyze it properly. The basic step is to
indicate each letter in the chart, recite the letter with your kid and also read out the corresponding
picture. Example A a for Apple, B b for Ball, C c cat, etc.
Two things you being a parent need to look at the kind of chart you are choosing for your kid and the
pace which you are choosing. You will have to choose a chart

Analysis Of The Book By Ta Nehisi Coates
The recently awarded 2015 National Book Award for Nonfiction author, Ta Nehisi Coates, has stirred
quite some debate over the author himself and the issue on race in America. He is harsh and direct
when it comes to commenting on the political policies in America or even the president. Much of Ta
Nehisi Coates s works are affected by his life living in America as a black person. The violent and
fearsome life he has lived became the only form of life he is acquainted to. As a result, he strongly
believes that white supremacy dominates, a condition which will never cease to be. Hope being a
central element to the black moment is absent in his projections; this hopelessness in Coates s works is
a center of discussion to the critics. There exist strong supporters of Coates who applauds him for his
truthfulness and there are some who view him as a pessimist and a cynic. All the while, Coates
defends himself by saying that he is simply a realist who refuses to hide behind the blind naivete like
the rest. Growing up in West Baltimore, there was nothing sanctified about the laws of the streets (25).
Death, surrounding his life, seemed almost a commonplace occurrence. From his schooling, Coates
felt like the schools were hiding something, drugging us with false morality so that we could not see,
so that we did not ask: Why for us and only us is the other side of free will and free spirits an assault
upon our bodies? (26). He states that this was not a hyperbolic

Examples Of Supreme Court Cases
Disclosures, Lies and Liabilities: A Case to Tell the Truth
Integrity is one thing that must remain unscathed throughout the career of a law enforcement officer. It
means being morally upright and having the quality of being honest (integrity, 2016). Trustworthiness,
virtue, righteousness, honor, and honesty describe what it is to be a law enforcement officer. These are
the attributes communities expect of the men and women who take an oath to protect them. Three
United States Supreme Court cases deal with lying and the liability it presents for law enforcement
agencies. These cases are Brady v. Maryland, 373 U.S. 83 (1963), Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S.

All three cases presented here deal with the disclosure of evidence by the prosecution. A court trial is
the pursuit of truth that results in a verdict of guilt or innocence depending on the evidence the
prosecution and defense present to the Court. When the prosecution fails to disclose evidence that is
exculpatory, then where is the whole truth? Revealing all evidence is necessary to see the whole
picture of what really happened. In Brady v. Maryland, the prosecution purposely omitted evidence. In
Giglio v. United States, the prosecution failed to disclose an arrangement where there were concerns
about the reliability of the witness. In United States v. Agurs, the prosecution again failed to disclose
exculpatory evidence. The Court held that all three cases resulted in the violation of the Due Process
Clause from the failure of such disclosures. Law enforcement officers are part of the prosecutorial
process. They submit the evidence they gather to the prosecuting attorneys for presentation at a trial. If
a law enforcement officer fails to submit all evidence, destroys evidence, or lies about evidence, then
he or she is lying about the case they investigate. Defense attorneys will question the credibility and
intent of the officer and prosecution if the intentionally exclude evidence or lie about the evidence that
gathered. If any court finds an officer untruthful in the presentation of evidence, then their credibility
and integrity is lost. Cases following

##cietal Values In Society In Amy Poehler s Writing Is Hard
In today s society, people often tend to shift towards the societal norms and don t ever want to be
pushed out of their comfort zone. While many people write about the struggles with these situations,
two authors seem to do a great job at explaining it in their own lives. In Amy Poehler s preface,
Writing is Hard, and in Tina Fey s excerpt Bossypants, they both describe what it s like to live with the
difficulties and demands of today s society with Poehler s being more from the work side and Fey s
being from the beauty side. While both write about overcoming society s mindset and believing in
yourself in the two perspectives they present, Fey seems to do a more detailed and thought out job
with the writing in Chapter three: All Girls Must Be Everything that more people can relate to.
Furthermore, the two comedians do a great job trying to appeal to their specific audience; however,
Tina Fey seems to find more strength in it than Poehler. Poehler and Fey are both well known for their
comedic work and acting abilities in the society meaning they have the credibility to talk about such
topics they discuss in their excerpts, but Tina Fey appears to use her fame status more to her
advantage. She writes about teaching girls that they are all beautiful no matter what the standards are
people tend to get from the media. For example, in Fey s excerpt from her book, Bossypants, she tells
her readers of her personal story with experiencing body awareness for the first time. Fey states in her
excerpt from chapter three of Bossypants, One afternoon a girl walked by in a bikini and my cousin
Janet scoffed, Look at the hips on her. I panicked. What about the hips? Were they too big? Too small?
What were my hips? Fey later shares her story about her daughter noticing the standards for hair color
by saying, When I asked her why she didn t like Snow White, she told me, I don t like her hair. Not
even three years old, she knew that yellow hair is king (Bossypants). This proves to the audience that
not only is dealing with body image a problem now with the younger generation, but, also, before Tina
Fey even rose to fame. She is able to appeal to the readers emotions by using her young daughter s

The Critique Of Kenneth Branagh s The Hamlet
In 1996, British actor and director, Kenneth Branagh took on the production of the film The Hamlet. It
is notable that Branagh took into consideration the play s intricate detail as he built around the film. In
his directing effort, he made both plausible and not so brilliant decisions too. It is commendable to a
given extent that Branagh maintained Shakespearean language throughout the film. However, he did
away with a significant part of the play s ambiguous quality by making plain, mindful decisions on
aspects such as setting, characterization and others in the film. Branagh put it in the Napoleonic era
rather than the Middle Ages according to Shakespeare s original version. BRANAGH S DIRECTOR
CONCEPT EMPLOYED STRATEGIES AIMED AT CREATING A BLOWN UP DRAMATIC
VISION OF HAMLET. Several cinematic basics, such as the film s melodic make, compliment
Branagh s complex vision of the film and intrigue the audience.
Several of Branagh s directorial implementations in Hamlet sync well to make the film both
enchanting and witty. His choice to slightly modernize the setting creates a more pompous set plus
costume design that becomes an aesthetic quality to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These frequent visualizations create even stronger assertions about Hamlet; which assertions Branagh
risked to include within his version of the film. For example, around the opening of the film, when
Hamlet follows the Ghost into the woods and he spills the details of his demise to Hamlet, a visualized
thought montage appears. The Ghost recounts his death at the hands of Claudius and as the Ghost
narrates, a montage of the events plays. This montage gives the audience a comprehensible illustration
of the Ghost s story as Hamlet draws images of it in his own mind. Instead of showing the
visualization of either Hamlet or the Ghost, Branagh shows the true moments for the audience to critic
the characters on their

Vulnerability of the Elderly Depicted in the Play, A Cream...
In the play A cream cracker under the settee I think the Alan Bennett is trying to convey a message
about what old age pensioners are really like and what there thoughts are about modern life. The play
was written in 1987 but the concerns of elderly people remain the same. The Play is focused on a
woman called Doris. She is in late adulthood, widowed and lives by herself. Doris has no family or
friends, she has been given a cleaner called Zulema by the council. Zulema comes once a week to
clean Doris house. Doris was once married to a man called Wilfred but he died, she often talks to him
or at least, his photo, and about him. In my personal opinion, I think Doris finds it easier to talk to
Wilfred now he s gone: as they had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Doris doesn t have any neighbours or a phone (because she probably can t afford one) so if she was in
trouble and needed help there would be no body there to help her. Don t know anyone around here
now. Doris doesn t think of herself as an old person as she often refers to old people that smell and
need a Zimmer frame, she doesn t realise that she is an old person herself. Doris had a very distant and
isolated relationship with Wilfred when he was alive as they never talked about there feelings, when
Doris had her miscarriage I think Wilfred was scared of showing emotion. The miscarriage has
affected Doris as she says If it had lived, I might have had grandchildren now. Wouldn t have been in
this fix. when she says this, she is calling the baby it I think she refers to the baby as it because of the
midwifes reaction. The midwife said he wasn t fit to be called anything and had we any newspaper.
Wilfred says he did (have newspaper)I think he said that because I think he was trying to help and be
useful, because I think he thought that, that was the only way to be helpful. I think that as a result of it
(the baby) dyeing, led to obsession with cleanliness and hygiene, this makes us feel extremely
sympathetic towards Doris because she can t stop cleaning. Doris is scared of having to go into
Stafford House because she thinks everyone is crazy and smells. I don t want to

During 2004, the textile sector grew 75 percent, the highest growth recorded for any industry sector in
the Argentine economy that year. Positive activity continued through 2005 2006 due to consumption
booms, driven by increased general purchasing power and rapidly growing inflows of tourists buying
Argentine textile and apparel products.
The total Argentinean textile market is estimated to be worth US$ 12 Billion. The clothing industry of
Argentina is expected to grow steadily in the coming years in view of the growing demand for high
fashion garments and its exports and the dynamic local retail sector consisting of local and foreign
players. Argentina’s clothing preferences have leaned towards designs and brand names which are
important, especially to the younger generation who are influenced by the US life styles and friends.
The all Apparel industry is fragmented and more than 65% is run by small family units employing on
an average 50 people. The Argentinean textile and garment industry though self sufficient to an extent
still heavily depend upon import of synthetic fibres and fabrics and novelty

Research questions hoped to be answered by this study is framed from the background, problem statements and literatures reviewed. These questions are stated below: Q1: Does entrepreneurial education influence entrepreneurial intention among public and private universities? Q2: Does students at private and public universities perceive government support effective factors to become an entrepreneur? With these two questions the objectives are stated as follows i. To investigate and compare the role of entrepreneurial education between public and private universities students ii. To examine the perception of students towards social support for entrepreneurial activities in Malaysia. 2.0 LITERATURE REVIEW 2.1 Entrepreneurial Intention Investigating factors that influence entrepreneurial intention, several theories had being applied by different scholars for example, studying role or influence of education on intention of entrepreneurs, the two most prominent theories are Ajzen s Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Sahpero and Sokol s theory of entrepreneurial model. Intention as described by Davison (1995) is the urge to do or to act in response to something. While Krueger, Reilly, and Carsrud (2000) said an entrepreneurial intention is a way of thinking emphasizing opportunities over threats stating that businesses are not started by reflex but by analyzing and responding to ... • 3. Character Development In Hamlet And Agamemnon By John F.... A story is generally comprised of five essential elements: characters, setting, plot, conflict and resolution (Penguin Young Readers Group). The characters are a critical component of any story because they allow the readers to relate with different types of behaviour, visualize personalities and engage accordingly. The following stories are centralized around a single character and they all succeed in capturing audience interest: Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, Agamemnon by Aeschylus, and Secret Society Speech by John F. Kennedy. The use of character development in each of the stories is truly effective in gaining audience sympathy and support. The authors introduce the protagonist with sufficient information and maintain that consistency such that the reader can connect with each character and their respective traits and emotions. The similarities in character development are evident as they all target the audience directly using pity. The character of Hamlet showcases his true feelings through his internal conflict (which is oftentimes open for audience interpretation) that develops into an external conflict. The character of Clytemnestra uses her daughter s death to justify her actions and thus, seeks pity from her kingdom as well as the audience. President John F. Kennedy portrays his confidence, fearlessness and competency by addressing the audience head on about criticism of his administration and other errors/wrong doings . Despite being uniquely different characters (two fictional and one non fictional), each protagonist depicts their traits from the beginning, allowing the audience to relate at a personal level. The following similarities are apparent examples of effective character development and reader engagement. Hamlet is introduced in a gloomy mood earlier in Act II as King Claudius asks, How is it that the clouds still hang on you? (Shakespeare, Hamlet: Act 1, Scene 2, Page 3 ). Shakespeare strategically utilizes the character of Hamlet to slowly develop the plot such that the readers understand Hamlet s hatred of Claudius and his mother Gertrude. Similarly, Aeschylus begins with a watchman announcing the fall of Troy, followed by the chorus stating how King Agamemnon sacrificed his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. The Effect Of Anti Microbial Products On Zone Of Inhibition The Effect of Anti Microbial Products on Zone of Inhibition Background Information: Bacteria, singular form bacterium, are microorganisms which belong to their own animal kingdom Kingdom Monera. All bacteria are alive and require to reproduce and eat. In the experiment, the bacteria used is called Staphylococcus aureus, which can cause a variety of diseases (e.g. meningitis, boils and abscesses, osteomyelitis, pneumonia etc.). Various strains of Staphylococcus aureus are resistant to some antibiotics and has become a health concern. As more and more antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections/diseases, eventually there will be a point when the bacterium will grow immune to it. Thus, this makes Staphylococcus aureus serious as it almost completely immune to benzyl penicillin. Within the experimented there were three different anti microbial products that were investigated Bosisto s Eucalyptus Oil 200mL, Bleach and Coles Methylated Spirits. According to the bottle with the eucalyptus oil, it had claimed that it is 100% pure with pharmaceutical eucalyptus oil derived from Eucalyptus polybractera (Blue Mallee). This product can be applied on minor wounds, cold and flu symptoms, aches and pains, stains, clothing as well as cleaning but has no claims about what percentage of bacteria it kills but online sources claim it as one of the most effective methods of curing Staphylococcus aureus. The bleach used in the practical had no claims but according to online ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Hofstede s Six Cultural Dimensions Hofstede s Six Cultural Dimensions The Hofstede s six cultural dimensions were created collectively by Geert Hofstede, Michael Bond, and Michael Minkov. These dimensions of culture were created to view how values in the workplace were influence by a particular culture of a given country. Essentially, it was a tool to describe how workforces in different countries operate under their own culture. There are currently six different dimensions of national cultures; power distance, uncertainty avoidance, individualism, masculinity, long term orientation, and indulgence versus restraint. Professor Greet Hofstede was the creator of the first four cultural dimensions, back in 1973. Roughly two decades later, Michael Bond with the support of Hofstede created the fifth dimension, in 1991. Recently in the 2010, the last dimension was added to the list, by Michael Minkov and his research team (Minkoy Hofstede, 2011). The first four dimensions discovered by Hofstede, dealt with four different anthropological issues that were handled differently from nation to nation. These issues involved; methods of coping with inequality and uncertainty, relationships within a primary group, and the emotional significance of having been born as male or female (National, n.d.). The fifth dimension is long term orientation. Long term orientation provides the idea that a given culture or country prefers to do things in an old fashion manner or in a modernized pragmatic approach. The last dimension, ... The Primordial Soup hypothesis a statement hypothesizing that life could have started in the ocean. Alexander Oparin and John Haldane came up with the idea, they hypothesized that with the gases in the atmosphere the energy from lightning strikes could spontaneously form amino acids in the oceans. Their theory was tested in 1953 by Stanley Miller and Harold Urey. They combined the atmospheres gases and sent constant lightning strikes through the air. Active Shooter Active School Shooter Introduction The intention of this paper is to look at and present some issues and strategies that members of a school community think about when trying to create safer schools. Particularly when addressing an active shooter in a school setting. A major issue to consider when trying to keep all schools safe, is the simple fact that no two schools are the same. Understanding this can lead us to the conclusion that it is impossible to have one global plan or program that can be 100% effective in all schools. Violence prevention programs work best when they incorporate multiple strategies and address the full range of possible acts of violence in schools. According to the IACP (International Association of Chiefs of Police), there are twenty recommended actions that can be used to prevent violence in a school setting. 1. Use school resource officers (SROs) who may be provided by local law enforcement. SROs often provide law enforcement, law related counseling, and law related education to students, faculty, and staff. Continuity of officers in individual schools should be encouraged, so that students and SROs develop a rapport. 2. The Issue of Transnational Aid Intervention The issue of transnational aid intervention has become a worldwide topic for debate regarding its role in ethics and legitimacy in international relations. Historically, international aid had been provided by developed worlds governments. However, aid provided by the developed world became problematic because of international treaties, violation of state sovereignty, and the spread of capitalist enterprises (Willetts). In addition to, many of the developing world leaders, consider the concept of aid intervention to be potentially threatening and an excuse for more powerful nations to undermine and threaten their state sovereignty through a change in the nations economic and social discourses (Willetts). In an attempt to counterbalance this predicament, institutions known as Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) were formed to emphasize humanitarian issues, developmental aid and sustainable development (Willetts). An NGO is defined as a citizen based association that operates independently of government, usually to deliver resources or serve some social or political purpose (Willetts 1). Currently, NGOs play a crucial role in providing mechanisms which enhance global human progress. She sates that, the most selfish of all things is the independent mind. (Rand 943) With selfishness clearly defined, Rand uses the plot to illustrate her conviction. She begins by calling destruction sacrifice s result. When United States citizens contentedly give control to the government, everything falls apart. Businesses go bankrupt following corrupt laws in fairness name. People starve and disappear. The government mistreats and abuses the public in every form; however, they refuse to question their actions or even think. I feel as if...as if there s no people and no human language left...I feel that someone is screaming in the middle of the streets, but people are passing by and no sound can reach them. • 24. Eukaryotic Genome Editing INTRODUCTION With the development of biological technologies, a new era of making and manipulating DNA sequences has come. Molecular biologists have gained the ability to delete, insert, isolate DNA sequences and gene fragments, as well as to make targeted modifications to the genome in vitro, in cells, and in model organisms. These technologies have made it possible to study genes and DNA fragments by dissecting the functions of complex genes and specific regulatory elements. For biological research, powerful genome editing tools will contribute to the understanding of genes, proteins, and biological systems networks. The genome engineering also benefits a broad range of applications, such as: stimulating new generations of drug development and medical therapeutics, increasing agricultural crop products. Ever since the discovery of DNA double helix structure, Eukaryotic organisms genome editing has attracted widespread attention, and biologists have been attempting different techniques to introduce site specific modifications to the genomes of cells and model organisms. As a child she had cancer in her face so she had surgery to remove but it caused her face to be deformed. Consequently, she was bullied because of the way she looked, which caused her self esteem to lower immensely. As a result, she had undergone many surgeries and even went as far as to travel to another country to try and fix her face. Therefore, as she gets older she not only alters herself physically but mentally. She finally realizes that how people see us should not influence how we view ourselves not only physically but mentally as well. So she decides to never look at a mirror because she feels she does not have to to know what she looks like anymore. She finally accepted the way she looks and started focussing on her personal well being and recognizes that s what is actually important. Society has a critical impact on the way we see ourselves because of the way social media shows us that we should look a certain way, people telling us we should look a certain way, your negative thoughts about how you look, and how society determines your value based on looks. The nature of evil, from the Christian standpoint, is that all evil comes from man s sin. This makes evil a very personal force, rather than something abstract. Schmemann describes the Christian idea of evil as a fall. He states that evil is quot;this fall from on high and the horror, grief and suffering it evokes quot; (41). Evil, or sin, is controlled by the individual. Each person has the ability to choose between right and wrong. The late Victorian period saw a revolution in the spheres of art and literature. They baffled the British opinion with their brand new stance on literature, paintings, and sculptures. They turned criticism into a brand new form of art. His criticism was overshadowed by his personal life: Ass thete or aesthete, gay saint or poéte maudit. Those were the roles Wilde played in the classrooms and criticism for most of the twentieth century. Fast food restaurants are making movements to remove antibiotic treated meats from their menus. This movement is causing quite the stir in consumers and livestock producers alike. Do the antibiotics used in beef really contribute to antibiotic resistant diseases? Should antibiotics be outlawed in the use of farm animals? The eradication of antibiotic use in America s beef industry is not feasible due to its usage in the treatment and control of deadly or discomforting diseases. Presently, speculations have risen about the amount of antibiotics used in the livestock industry and the desire to consume antibiotic free meats. What is not understood, however, is the USDA has been monitoring the amount of antimicrobial residue in meats for several years. If unsafe levels are detected the meat is not allowed to be sold for human consumption. Yet, fast food chains such as Subway and Chipotle are claiming to go completely antibiotic free within the next decade. The practicality of this becoming a reality is slim due to the need to control, treat, and prevent diseases. Analysis Of The Book By Ta Nehisi Coates The recently awarded 2015 National Book Award for Nonfiction author, Ta Nehisi Coates, has stirred quite some debate over the author himself and the issue on race in America. He is harsh and direct when it comes to commenting on the political policies in America or even the president. Much of Ta Nehisi Coates s works are affected by his life living in America as a black person. The violent and fearsome life he has lived became the only form of life he is acquainted to. As a result, he strongly believes that white supremacy dominates, a condition which will never cease to be. Hope being a central element to the black moment is absent in his projections; this hopelessness in Coates s works is a center of discussion to the critics. There exist strong supporters of Coates who applauds him for his truthfulness and there are some who view him as a pessimist and a cynic. All the while, Coates defends himself by saying that he is simply a realist who refuses to hide behind the blind naivete like the rest. Growing up in West Baltimore, there was nothing sanctified about the laws of the streets (25). Death, surrounding his life, seemed almost a commonplace occurrence. From his schooling, Coates felt like the schools were hiding something, drugging us with false morality so that we could not see, so that we did not ask: Why for us and only us is the other side of free will and free spirits an assault upon our bodies? Maryland, the prosecution purposely omitted evidence. In Giglio v. United States, the prosecution failed to disclose an arrangement where there were concerns about the reliability of the witness. In United States v. Agurs, the prosecution again failed to disclose exculpatory evidence. While many people write about the struggles with these situations, two authors seem to do a great job at explaining it in their own lives. In Amy Poehler s preface, Writing is Hard, and in Tina Fey s excerpt Bossypants, they both describe what it s like to live with the difficulties and demands of today s society with Poehler s being more from the work side and Fey s being from the beauty side. While both write about overcoming society s mindset and believing in yourself in the two perspectives they present, Fey seems to do a more detailed and thought out job with the writing in Chapter three: All Girls Must Be Everything that more people can relate to. Furthermore, the two comedians do a great job trying to appeal to their specific audience; however, Tina Fey seems to find more strength in it than Poehler. Poehler and Fey are both well known for their comedic work and acting abilities in the society meaning they have the credibility to talk about such topics they discuss in their excerpts, but Tina Fey appears to use her fame status more to her advantage. She writes about teaching girls that they are all beautiful no matter what the standards are people tend to get from the media. For example, in Fey s excerpt from her book, Bossypants, she tells her readers of her personal story with experiencing body awareness for the first time. Were they too big? Too small? What were my hips? Fey later shares her story about her daughter noticing the standards for hair color by saying, When I asked her why she didn t like Snow White, she told me, I don t like her hair. Not even three years old, she knew that yellow hair is king (Bossypants). Branagh put it in the Napoleonic era rather than the Middle Ages according to Shakespeare s original version. BRANAGH S DIRECTOR CONCEPT EMPLOYED STRATEGIES AIMED AT CREATING A BLOWN UP DRAMATIC VISION OF HAMLET. Several cinematic basics, such as the film s melodic make, compliment Branagh s complex vision of the film and intrigue the audience. Several of Branagh s directorial implementations in Hamlet sync well to make the film both enchanting and witty. His choice to slightly modernize the setting creates a more pompous set plus costume design that becomes an aesthetic quality to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These frequent visualizations create even stronger assertions about Hamlet; which assertions Branagh risked to include within his version of the film. For example, around the opening of the film, when Hamlet follows the Ghost into the woods and he spills the details of his demise to Hamlet, a visualized thought montage appears. The Ghost recounts his death at the hands of Claudius and as the Ghost narrates, a montage of the events plays. This montage gives the audience a comprehensible illustration of the Ghost s story as Hamlet draws images of it in his own mind. Instead of showing the visualization of either Hamlet or the Ghost, Branagh shows the true moments for the audience to critic the characters on their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Vulnerability of the Elderly Depicted in the Play, A Cream... In the play A cream cracker under the settee I think the Alan Bennett is trying to convey a message about what old age pensioners are really like and what there thoughts are about modern life. The play was written in 1987 but the concerns of elderly people remain the same. The Play is focused on a woman called Doris. She is in late adulthood, widowed and lives by herself. Doris has no family or friends, she has been given a cleaner called Zulema by the council. Zulema comes once a week to clean Doris house. Doris was once married to a man called Wilfred but he died, she often talks to him or at least, his photo, and about him. In my personal opinion, I think Doris finds it easier to talk to Wilfred now he s gone: as they had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Doris doesn t have any neighbours or a phone (because she probably can t afford one) so if she was in trouble and needed help there would be no body there to help her. Don t know anyone around here now. Doris doesn t think of herself as an old person as she often refers to old people that smell and need a Zimmer frame, she doesn t realise that she is an old person herself. Doris had a very distant and isolated relationship with Wilfred when he was alive as they never talked about there feelings, when Doris had her miscarriage I think Wilfred was scared of showing emotion. The miscarriage has affected Doris as she says If it had lived, I might have had grandchildren now. Wouldn t have been in this fix. when she says this, she is calling the baby it I think she refers to the baby as it because of the midwifes reaction. The midwife said he wasn t fit to be called anything and had we any newspaper. Wilfred says he did (have newspaper)I think he said that because I think he was trying to help and be useful, because I think he thought that, that was the only way to be helpful. I think that as a result of it (the baby) dyeing, led to obsession with cleanliness and hygiene, this makes us feel extremely sympathetic towards Doris because she can t stop cleaning. Doris is scared of having to go into Stafford House because she thinks everyone is crazy and smells. I don t want to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
