- 2. Technology is EVERYWHERE Technology is an integral part of modern day life. It is a driving force of our nation’s economy, communication, and overall success. Students use many different forms of technology in their everyday lives, and schools must embrace this technology, and in turn integrate it into the classroom
- 3. “True” Integration Occurs when technology is implemented in all aspects of a school. Not limited to teacher direction Or teacher “managerial” use only Occurs in schools that have principals that are the technology leaders of their school.
- 4. To be the Technology Leader… The Principal must… Create an inspiring atmosphere Foster collaboration Be a connected learner Provide resources
- 5. Inspiring Atmosphere Be open to new ideas Be willing to change current policies Provide technology based professional development Take risks
