How Ultra s Customer Database Meets The Not Generally...
II. Not Generally Known or Readily Ascertainable
C A court is likely to find that Ultra s customer database meets the not generally known or readily
ascertainable element.
R In determining whether information is not generally known or readily ascertainable, courts consider
the following two Restatement factors: the extent to which the information is known outside of the
business and the ease or difficulty with which the information could be properly acquired or
duplicated by others. Al Minor, 117 Ohio St. 3d at 61 (citing Plain Dealer, 80 Ohio St. 3d at 524 25).
To determine whether the information is not generally known or readily ascertainable is if a trade
secret owner collected and/or compiled the information from a variety of sources, thus this may
support a finding that the information is not generally known or readily ascertainable. Salemi, 145
Ohio St. 3d at ¶29.
To determine whether a customer list is not generally known, it ordinarily includes not only the name
of a business or person but also information that is not generally available to the public, such as the
name of a contact person, a non public telephone or cell phone number, an email address, and other
data known only because of the relationship with the client. Salemi, 2014 Ohio 3914 at ¶18 (citing
Columbus Bookkeeping, 2011 Ohio App. LEXIS 5655).
While the mere fact that each of the clients at issue are listed in a telephone directory, or can be
entered by name in a database,

Mercury Surface Geology
Mercury s most prominent feature is its surface geology. It s almost like the moon, with extensive
mare like plains and heavy cratering, showing that the planet has been geologically inactive for
billions of years. Craters range in diameter from bowl shaped cavities to multi ringed impact basins
hundreds of kilometers across. One of the largest crater is the Caloris Basin, with the diameter of
1,550 km. The impact was so powerful that it caused lava eruptions and a concentrated ring over 2 km
tall surrounding the basin to form. There are two distinct regions of plains on Mercury. These plains
occur between the crater impacts and they bear a strong resemblence to the lunar maria. From the
MESSENGER spacecraft, we were able to see that there ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The seven major tectonic plates comprise mostly on continental plates and the Pacific plate. The seven
major plates from greatest to least are called: the Pacific Plate stretching 103,300,000 km2, North
American Plate being 75,900,000 km2, Eurasian Plate being 67,800,000 km2, African Plate stretching

the South American Plate being 43,600,000 km2. With different tectonic plates, there are different
ways they can move: divergent, convergent, and transform. Divergent plate movement is when both
plates moving away from each other, creating a canyon that has magma pushing out from the bottom,
forming new ground. Convergent is usually an oceanic plate and a continental plate are moving into
one another, causing the oceanic plate to subducts into the mantle. This causes move active volcanos
and earthquakes. Even though all of the plates are in the lithosphere, it s only the where Earth is
flexible enough to move rather than flow. The lithosphere flexes when loads of weight are placed on it

Difference Between The Judicial Branch And The Executive...
¨Separation of Powers: Framework for Freedom¨
James Madison once stated in Federalist 51 If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If
angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary.
In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this:
you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control
itself. Madison was asserting that humans are flawed and that separation of powers was designed to
divide up the power and the responsibilities. Each branch would be able to check on the other one.
There are three branches the Judicial Branch, the Legislative Branch, and the Executive Branch. Each
of them have their own duties to fulfill and separation of powers prohibits one branch from exercising
the functions of the other ones. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main body of the Judicial Branch is the Supreme Court, it is the highest court in the United States.
It is very important and powerful because it can override the other branches. The head of the branch is
the the Chief Judge of the Supreme Court. In the Judicial Branch there are three separate levels of
court The District Courts, The Court of Appeals, and The Supreme Court. The Supreme Court was
made by the Constitution. Therefore, the Judicial Court plays a vital role in America.
The Legislative Branch is a fundamental aspect of the US because it is where laws are made and
eventually either passed or vetoed. The Senate and the House of Representatives is part of the
Legislative Branch. Laws are debated upon and voted on in Congress. The Constitution provides the
Legislative Branch with the power of declaring war. Henceforth, the Legislative Branch has a large

Failure Definition Essay
Success is something that is earned, not given. It s setting a goal for yourself and not letting failure try
and stop you. Failure is a hard lesson to learn, but it teaches us not to give up and to keep trying.
Failure is part of the journey to success. Downs happen so the ups can follow. Failure just makes us
work harder for what we want. The most rewarding thing is overcoming the obstacles and reaching
full potential. Bella Throne was like any other kid her age, excited to start school. Though, when she
started 1st grade she couldn t read or write as well as the other kids. This was because she had a
condition called Dyslexia. Her brain would mix up letters like B and D , and M and W . When Bella

Childhood Obesity Is A Tremendous Problem Among Our Youth...
Childhood obesity is a tremendous problem among our youth today. Over the past couple of decades,
the prevalence of obesity has increased dramatically. Studies show that in the last 30 years the percent
of 6 to 11 year olds as well as the percent of 12 to 19 year olds who fall under the obese or overweight
category has tripled (Finkelstein). Nearly two out of every three Americans are overweight or obese,
and one out of every eight deaths in the United States is caused by an obesity related illness
(Carmona). Obesity has always been an issue, but in recent decades the severity of the cases of obesity
as well as the percent of obese people has increased dramatically. There are many factors that
contribute to obesity. Heredity is one of the key factors in determining whether or not a child becomes
overweight or obese. When one of the parents is overweight or obese, the chance that he/she will have
a child that is also overweight increases by 50 percent. Additionally, if both parents are considered
overweight, the chances that their child will be obese as well increases to 80 percent (Wexler).
Furthermore, once the child is born and grows up, he or she is more likely to become obese if both of
his or her parents work (Wexler). This is because working parents don t always have the time to make
healthy dinners or supervise everything their child consumes. Consequently, children can consistently
eat unhealthy meals and snacks resulting in an increase in weight gain. Did you

The Dynamics Of The Pacific Ocean Essay
The grand expanse of the Pacific Ocean possesses a very extensive, and often debated history of
human expansion into the thousands of islands that exist within the region. There exists a range of
fields that are interested in the voyaging of what is called Remote Oceania, or the parts of the Pacific
that would require advanced navigation techniques due to the fact that the next island is either out of
sight or simply unknown. Biologists study the movement and development of the human race while
linguists study the development of the Austronesian language family that can be found in this region.
Archaeologists are interested in the existence of elaborate Lapita pottery and anthropologists wish to
understand the cultural traditions and dynamics of the past and current populations of these Pacific
islands. Due to the shared interest in this region from many fields, it is important for an understanding
of the movement of the populations over time throughout Remote Oceania to be understood. In this
paper I will discuss some of the dynamics of the oral traditions of the region regarding ocean travel,
investigate the scale of the task that these navigators were up against, explain the variety of canoe
types along with the navigational techniques that were used to maneuver them, and discuss the current
standings among scholars on the path of expansion in this region.

Modern Revolution Research Paper
Intro: The world has seen drastic changes throughout its history, from micro bacteria, dinosaurs, and
eventually humans. No change has been as large or as fast as the modern revolution. In the short time
of 200 years we have gone from a dark, electricity stripped world to a world were we can travel in
outer space, have instant connection from around the world, and extend the average life expectancy.
Although the modern revolution has been a dominantly positive force, it has its flaws and down sides.
Overall, the modern revolution has been a positive force on the world because of disease prevention,
complex inventions, and increased literacy.
Body Paragraphs:
Body Paragraph One: Disease Prevention, to begin, has been a positive force in the modern

Mention connectivity and globalization. In 1800 we had no internet, television, or even electricity. 218
years later, we have machines that can almost job we tell them to, or tablets that have more power then
the computer on Apollo 11 did. All of these inventions hap everyday human life, imagine your day
without a plastic, or computers. Almost everything we use has plastic or a computer, maybe even both.
As one may see, all of the complex inventions we see today is a positive impact of the modern
revolution. A positive impact of the modern revolution, equally important, is the rise of literacy all
across the world. In 1800, only 10 percent of the world could read, compared to over 80 percent
now(Text 3). Even though literacy rates and numbers are growing, there are still many places across
the world where literacy is uncommon, or women are often illiterate(Text 3). A couple more sentences

How Conflict Affects Relationships
I feel as though that sometimes no one will help those with conflicts, perhaps because they don t know
what to do or maybe because they think the person should work through it themselves. Those are two
different reactions, but the second one is more harsh. The first means you probably have at least
attempted to help, but the second one seems almost selfish, like you know that person enough to know
they can and can t handle by themselves. Truthfully, we do not know what we, ourselves, can handle
often times. Those to seem to have their fair share of similarities and differences, but I have seen they
don t help because they truly believe there is nothing that can be done, that it s hopeless.
Ordinarily, conflicts as a child affects people a lot, whether that be minor or major conflicts, they
affect how you may see certain things. No matter the conflicts, though, whether they be societal or
with someone, they seem to always affect how you feel about yourself and how you deal with internal
conflicts. Maybe you re more likely to blame yourself for issues than other people, maybe you have
problems with your self esteem, etc. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Cross Pollination Religious Customs And Material Culture
The cross pollination religious customs and material culture in the Cuban Diaspora has provided a
wealth of indigenous and assimilative sources (Gordon, 2014: 53), and this has afforded Mendive a
rich abundance of inherited iconography of fauna, flora and otherworldly phenomena to consume and
use in the process of creating his artworks. Mendive is able to animate the pantheon of Orishas,
depicted as either interacting with or sometimes assimilating human postures and gestures. Such
representations of the Santería cosmic beings investigate concepts of hybridity, New Word practices of
syncretism, and notions of a perceived combining of different and seemingly contradictory beliefs
through the blending of customs and traditions of different schools of thought and discourse (Turner,
2014).
The earliest mention of syncretism appeared in the philosophy of Plutarch as the act or system of
blending, combining or reconciling inharmonious elements... to forget dissensions and to unite in the
face of common danger (Showerman, 1910 11: 292 93). In The Creation of Afro Caribbean Religions
and their Incorporation of Catholic Elements Bettina Schmidt maintains that syncretism is too simple
a term to use in attempting to encapsulate the full meaning behind the creation process of Santería.
According to her, it upholds the belief that the Cuban religion was formed by the sheer mixing of the
dominant Catholicism doctrine with the suppressed religious practices of the Yoruba people

Evaluating the Levels of Processing Theory Essay
Evaluating the Levels of Processing Theory
The levels of Processing theory was put forward in 1972 by Craik and Lockhart. This theory came
about after they criticised the Multi store model of memory saying it was too simplistic and
descriptive rather that actually explaining the model. This theory was an alternative to the Multi store
model as it replaces the idea of Short term and Log term memory. Levels of processing theory
believes that information can be processed at different levels at the same time. The deeper the
information is processed, the more likely it will be remembered.
There was a case of a man name KF and he had damage to the occipital parietal lobe so he had
damaged a part of his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The depth of the information go from shallow to deep processing. The levels are made up of structural
processing which are upper and lower class letters, Phonetic or sound processing which are rhyming
words and lastly semantic processing which is about the meanings of the words. The experiment done
in our lesson was about different types of processing. Results of that showed that the semantic
processing was the one that we had processed the deepest as we had to actually recognise and process
the words into our long term memory, and not just based on the appearance of the word. When
information is first processed, it goes to the sensory memory. From there if the information I attended
to, it will be processed into the short term memory and if not it will probably be lost. If information
from the short term memory is rehearsed, it will be processed into the long term memory where it can
stay for up to a lifetime. There are two types of rehearsal which are used in different ways of
remembering information. These are called elaborative rehearsal and maintenance rehearsal.
Maintenance rehearsal involves purely repeating the information over and over again, whereas
elaborative rehearsal involves doing something with the material a you repeat it,

The Performance Of The Symphony
I have never had the chance to sit and watch a symphony before. I have heard them in plays and other
performances, but they have never been the main production in something I have seen. It was very
interesting to see the structure behind the sound. The amount of people and different instruments all
together making a cohesive piece of music was absolutely incredible. There appeared to be well over
50 musicians working together to produce different sounds that fit together so tenaciously. Among the
instruments involved in the orchestra, I noticed cellos, flutes, clarinets, cymbals, tambourines,
trumpets, violins, trombones, tubas, french horns, and even a few instruments that I could not
recognize. The diversity in the instruments created a strong yet effortless feeling in the listener. The
music flowed so well that it seemed simple and easy, yet when I looked into the orchestra and saw
how many components go into the composition, it is clear that it is quite intricate. The symphony was
set in a beautiful concert venue, the Boston Symphony Hall. The high ceilings were dripping with
elaborate chandeliers, creating beautiful lighting for the on stage performers. The chairs of the
instrumentalists were turned in a way so that all the performers could be viewed by the audience, and
the conductors back was turned so he could face his orchestra. The walls on both sides were lined with
two levels of seats, and four rows of seats were organized in front of the stage. Four windows

Analysis Of Basel III
a) CET1 ratio
According to the result in Table 11, the CET1 ratio is statistical significant in the model under 10%
level of significance and has a positive relationship with the crisis, although it is not as expected. If
simply analyze from the empirical result, 1 percentage point increase of the common equity core tier 1
ratio would increase the probability of the financial crisis by 11.23833 percentage point when all other
variables remain unchanged.
In practice, Basel III is an international regulatory accord that introduced a set of reforms designed to

Consequently, the CET1 ratio are supposed to have a negative relationship with the probability of the
burst of the financial crisis.
b) RWA ratio
The RWA ratio is not statistical significant in our model and the potential reason has been discussed.
As shown in the line graph in the Appendix 3, the RWA ratio of the sample countries showed a trend
of fluctuating downward during the period of 2005 to 2016, except China. The RWA ratio of China
rose with fluctuations during the period of 2005 to 2012, then it declined gradually after 2013. In
addition, the RWA ratio of the other nine countries declined sharply in the 2008 financial crisis, which
might cause the increase of the CET1 ratio during the crisis. Even after 2008, the RWA ratio of several
countries still decrease gradually, which is a manipulation by the banking industry. Moreover, the
RWA ratio of Greece decreased significantly from 2008 to 2010, and it indicated that Greece suffered
both financial crisis and debt crisis.
Purely focus on the risk weighted asset itself, following the financial crisis, it has become quite
important in terms of determining a bank s risk and a potential for calamity. Risk weighted assets are
the amount of bank s assets such as stocks,

The Theory Of The Hypostatic Union
There have been many attempts to define and describe the concept of the Hypostatic Union. Charles
C. Ryrie proposed that the uniqueness of Christianity in its belief in Christ as the God man is often
hard to understand, since there is no way to compare or contrast this concept with any other God man
in history. Across time many people have come to the conclusion that Jesus Christ is God. While
others believed He was truly human. Yet in the annals of the gospels we only see one Person Jesus
Christ. It is the union of these two natures, that of the undiminished deity and the perfect humanity
that is called the doctrine of the hypostatic union and it is this union that truly makes of the uniqueness
of Jesus Christ.1
Definition
Paul Enns describes the dualistic nature of the Hypostatic Union as God the Son and forever the true
God takes upon Himself the full nature of man. The two natures are both fully God and fully man
without intermingling yet one Person Christ God Man.2 The Oxford Dictionary of the Christian
Church on the other had describes the Hypostatic Union simply as the union of the Divine and human
natures in One Person.3
Differing Views of Hypostatic Union W. G. T. Shedd in A. W. Gomes, Dogmatic Theology describes
the union of the divine and human natures by looking at the words nature and substance in the Greek
language. He uses word φύσις or phýsis for the concept of nature4 which according to

Authentication is a difficult task as the detection of replicated nodes is a crucial task. The sensor nodes
are not tamper resistant.
The various detection methods are produced based on the mobility models and the network
assumptions. Due to the resource constrained nature of the sensor nodes the detection methods
encountered have following limitations. The paper presents the classification of various detection
methods. Based on the mobility model also the detection methods have been classified which has been
discussed in this paper. From the discussion it is found that Efficient Distributed Detection method
suits well for detecting replicated nodes in the Wireless Sensor Networks.
The paper organization is as follows: at first the network assumptions have been discussed. Following
that various detection methods are classified and described briefly.
2. Network Assumptions
The detection methods are proposed mainly based on the network assumptions. The network
assumptions which are commonly assumed are as follows:
The communication is static.
Based on the location and the ID the replicated nodes are detected.
The sensor nodes are uniformly deployed.
The nodes are deterministic except for Random Walk based approach.
There is no simultaneous communication and also collaboration between the sensor nodes.
Identity based public key system is utilized by the network.

Passion And Love In KillingsAndA Rose For Emily
These two short stories delve on the theme of passion, crime and morality. The violence committed in
both stories is deployed with the threat of love and with the longing for love as well. Killings portrays
a father s love to his child and the desire to avenge his death. However, the own crime he has
committed led to self destruction and some sort of self murder. The character is in ironic position since
he was confronted with the ardent desire to revenge and the guilt that came with it. Anger and
righteousness can be sympathetically felt with the character. Similarly, A Rose for Emily portrays love
as the root cause of the crime. In this story, the father suppressed his daughter s woman life which
eventually led to her killing her lover to find eternal love. The two stories are the same in some aspect
in terms of the theme which revolves on passion and crime. However, the character differs greatly on
the impact of the crime committed by them. In Killings , the character felt guilt and a sort of self
death. The character in A rose for Emily on the other hand, died with no remorse for what she
committed.
The story of Killings by Andre Dubus centers on the theme of vengeance. The lead character, Matt
Fowler, plotted revenge on the young man who killed his son. The act of killing was more of a private
vengeance rather than an act of protection. However, Matt Fowler s act was even motivated by the
desire to protect his wife who suffered tremendously just by seeing the

Capital Punishment Was Abolished By Harold Wilson
Capital Punishment was abolished under Harold Wilson s Labour government in 1969 (Manton.K,
2011, P.16) in the United Kingdom, but there have been continuing debates concerning the
reinstatement of the death penalty in the UK.(BBC NEWS, 2011) reports that the Conservative party
MP calls for submission on capital punishment in the UK. The Brigg and Goole MP is one of a
number of Tory backbenchers calling for a commons debate of the return of capital punishment. (BBC
NEWS, 5th August 2011) Currently, Paul Staines, who writes the Guido Fawkes calls for the death to
be brought back for child and police officer murderers, he carried out a public opinion poll, which
recommends that around half the population want capital punishment to be reinstated for murders this
rises to 60% when it comes to child or police officer kills , furthermore his e petition on the
government website needs 100,000 people to support it so that there could possibly be a preliminary
debate on the issue (BBC NEWS, 4th August 2011). As Mr. Staines statistics poll shows, in 2011 that
there is a high percent of the public that requests capital punishment to be reinstated in the UK for
serious crimes such as; murder, child murder and police officer kills.
This study aims to examine the public s opinion of reintroducing capital punishments. (Gannon.A.T,

Pros And Cons Of Animal Testing
An animal test is any scientific experiment or test in which a live animal is forced to undergo
something that is likely to cause them pain, suffering, distress or lasting harm. As right now, millions
of mice, rats, rabbits, primates, cats, dogs, and other animals are locked inside barren cages in
laboratories across the country. They languish in pain, suffer from extreme frustration, ache with
loneliness, and long to be free. The complete lack of environmental enrichment and stress of their
living situation cause some animals to develop neurotic types of behavior such as incessantly spinning
in circles, rocking back and forth, pulling out their own fur, and even biting themselves. They shake
and cower in fear whenever someone approaches, and their blood pressure spikes dramatically. After
enduring a life of pain, loneliness, and terror, almost all of them will be killed. There are many non
animal test methods that can be used in place of test on animals. Not only are these non animal test
more humane, they also have potential to be cheaper, faster, and more relevant to humans. Some of
this methods are non invasive imaging techniques such as MRIs and CT scans, computer models and
simulations, and stem cell and genetic testing methods. Some of the experimentations conducted on
animals today is required by law, most of it is not. In fact, a number of countries have implements
bans on the testing of certain types of products on animals, such as the cosmetics testing bans in

Causes and Consequences of Human Trafficking in Haiti Essay
Throughout the globe, whether a country is highly developed or unstable, all countries must face the
issue of humanitarian crisis. These misfortunes can be triggered by human action or can occur
involuntarily. Ranging from natural disasters, to diseases, to internal or external conflict, each has
been proven to be detrimental to the stability of the society. Haiti has recently gotten attention for
being simultaneously affected by multiple crises; each of which helps to place Haiti in a trap which
they cannot lift themselves out of without foreign intervention and aid. Organizations such as the

Officials in Haiti estimate that an overwhelming 90,000 to 120,000 children are currently forced into
this practice, reflecting greatly on the lack of economic stability and growth within the country (2005
Trafficking in Persons Report). When thinking of sexual exploitation, forced prostitution and rape are
often the first to come to mind; however, women of Haiti have been noted to consciously choose to
exploit themselves. Furthermore, women will trade sex for a goods, shelter, or even security, in turn
causing sex to be classified as an income generating strategy (Kempadoo, 84). According to a statistic
pulled in 1984, 30 percent of the prostitutes from Haiti or from the Dominican Republic were between
fifteen and twenty years old (Benoit, 39). Consequently, the numbers of individuals affected by
trafficking in Haiti is evident of the presence and nature of crisis occurring.
Haiti is extremely susceptible to the humanitarian crisis of human trafficking due to their unstable
government, lack of law enforcement, and static economy. Although Jean Bertrand Aristide held the
position of president, the society still suffered from brutal acts of violence. Due to the fear of being
overthrown, the military acted in this way to divest the Haitian people of their freedoms (Americas
Watch, 1). However, subsequent to Aristide s resignation in early 2004, Haiti continued to struggle to

Internal Domain Name System for Company
Internal Domain Name System for Company Alpha Introduction The DNS is a vital Internet
component providing mechanisms for resolving host names into IP addresses and vice versa. In
addition, DNS supports other Internet directories concerning DNS name servers and mail exchangers
among others (Garfinkel Spafford, 1997). Despite being a universally accepted and widely used
system, insecure protocols and lack of authentication among other factors within the DNS threaten
proper functionality of the DNS. Moreover, the accuracy of the information contained within the DNS
is vital to many aspects of IP based communications. Domain Model for the Organization The domain
appropriate for this organization is the Berkeley Internet Name Domain (BIND). This domain name is
selected since it compatible with most operating systems including UNIX; it is also used by most
Internet Service Providers (Stevens, 1990). In addition, BIND is recommended for the firm since its
configuration files are easier to maintain than other server DNSs such as Sendmail (Terry, Painter,
Riggle, Zhou, 1984). Using this DNS, cache only name servers are easily placed strategically within
the internal network to remove unwanted traffic and expensive WAN links. Moreover, BIND supports
DNS SEC, TSIG IPv4 among other DNS protocol enhancements. Given the popularity of BIND, it is
often targeted by hackers. Therefore, limiting zone transfers to slave name servers and limiting
transfer in the zone can reduce the

The Pros And Cons Of Online Shopping
These past couple years there has been a decline on in store sales throughout the year especially
around the holiday seasons. The main reason for this is the new trend of online shopping. Online
shopping has started to become one of the main ways for many people to shop because of how
convenient it is, you can sit at your computer at home and order what you would get at the store. The
origin of online shopping started from an English professor named Michael Aldrich in 1979 when he
made a new system that made online purchases capable and safe (Duncan, E). The trend of online
shopping is beneficial to society because it makes shopping very convenient and easy. With the
technology at the hands of the people today there are many things that are now capable. One of the
main new things is online shopping. Online shopping has become one of the more convenient things
for people to do because it is so easy and that is one of the driving forces that is making online
shopping a huge trend. As of February 2017 about thirty one percent of people prefer to online shop
(Statistics and Trends n.d.). That number has been consistently growing throughout the past 6 years
because with the technology era that we live in today online shopping is starting to just become the
norm and how you are supposed to shop. The online shopping mogul Amazon has become one of the
highest net worth companies because they are consistently shipping out hundreds of thousands of
boxes every day. So why not online

A Basic Understanding Of Network Competencies Essay
A basic understanding of network competencies is necessary to succeed in most technology fields and
it is a foundational requirement for roles that deal directly with network communications. In today s
connected world of the cloud, apps that depend on internet connectivity, and even thermostats that can
have their temperature set across the internet, the need to understand how networking works is
expanding beyond the traditional roles of Network Administrators, Network Engineers, and
information security professionals to developers, systems administrators, analysts, and support
personnel. A fundamental understanding of networking is necessary to succeed in most technology
jobs. Two such jobs are the Systems Administrator and the Systems Analyst, which have different
training and educational requirements. While much of the Systems Administrator s job revolves
around network related tasks, they also spend a lot of time on servers, software systems, databases,
and storage. Systems Administrators can be responsible for networking and most of what they do
depends on the network, the majority of their time is spent on Servers, software systems like Active
Directory or databases, applications, and storage. Most mid to large organizations will have at least
one dedicated Network Administrator or Network Engineer. The Systems Analyst job has a much
wider skill set, but it also includes some knowledge of computer networking. According to the Bureau
of Labor Statistics website,

Essay on Ramifications of the Juvenile Justice Waiver
Social workers in the court room play an major role in helping to decide whether or not a child should
be charged as an adult for committing a crime while a minor. A minor being sent to juvenile court does
not necessarily mean that the minor will be tried as an juvenile. It is also the responsibility of the court
to determine if the minor should stay in juvenile court of be moved into adult criminal court. A social
work assigned to the minor as well as the defense attorney, prosecutor, and judge will argue in court to
decide the minors fate. This social policy that is used in the court system is known as the Juvenile
Justice Waiver. The Juvenile Justice Waiver is the practice of transferring jurisdiction over a juvenile
from juvenile or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In some states there are similarity to this historical Common Law Principle of Responsibility . As to
be expected, states have different laws regarding matters of juveniles. Many states vary when
determining whether or not a children should be tried as an adult or what the minimum or maximum
ages courts must follow or what crimes they are allowed try are. Taking Illinois for example, the set
age required by law for a children to be transferred into adult court is seventeen. However, in Illinois
there is a major exception to this rule. State law changes the minimum age to fifteen when crimes of
murder of the first degree, aggravated sexual assault, armed robbery, robbery with possession of a
firearm, and use of weapons on school grounds are committed (Carp, Stidham, and Manning, 67).
Illinois considers these offenses the most serious. Another type of waiver that can take place is a
waiver into teen court. 300 different jurisdictions are experimenting with this idea. Teen court is a
helpful alternative to juvenile court. This court also helps keeps the labeling stigma of convict off of a
juvenile offender. These courts typically handle juvenile offenders between the ages of ten and fifteen
who are being charges with minor violations such as disorderly conduct, shoplifting, and other types
of criminal mischief. Most of these juvenile offenders have no prior arrest record and have never done
anything wrong before in their lives. These juveniles

Akira Kurosawa Research Paper
Kurosawa is an interesting director in that his films share the context of his own life. As a child he was
exposed to the strict religion and meticulous order of Japanese society, while also being a witness to
the devastation of a massive earthquake on 1 September, 1923. Through the great earthquake,
Kurosawa wrote, I learnt not only of the extra ordinary powers of nature, but of the extra ordinary
things that lie in human hearts (Something Like.. p.23). Similar to Shakespeare, Kurosawa shared the
intent to explore the conflicts of an individual s emotions and internal self, while allowing it to erupt
on a cosmic scale (usually in all out war). Akira Kurosawa is commonly regarded as the most

Death By Scrabble Irony
There are three types of irony. Death by Scrabble is an ironic story by Charlie Fish. The characters in
this story are not named, but readers get to know the 42 years old man and his wife. Within the story,
you learn that the couple is uneasy in their relationship. The story Death by Scrabble shows verbal,
situational, and dramatic irony.
In the story Death by Scrabble uses verbal irony a lot. For instants when the man says If only I had a
D, then I could play MURDER. That would be a sign. That would be permission. He doesn t really
want her dead he just doesn t want to play scrabble. Or when he says The steam rising from her cup of
tea makes me feel hotter. I try to make murderous words with the letters on my rack, but the best I can
do is SLEEP. My wife sleeps all the time. She slept through an argument our next door neighbors had
that resulted in a broken door, a smashed TV and a Teletubby Lala doll with all the stuffing coming
out. And then she bitched at me for being moody the next day from lack of sleep. She doesn t sleep all
the time she just is a heavy sleeper. She clearly doesn t sleep all the time because she is playing
scrabble. The verbal irony leads to the situational irony. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

with surprise and vindication and the B that I was chewing on gets lodged in my throat. I try to cough.

builds to a climax. As a reader you would expect the wife to die but he ends up chocking on a scrabble
piece and dies. We would expect the wife to die because the man keeps wishing she were dead. The
dramatic irony plays off of the situational irony like the situational irony played off of the verbal

How Does Gene Mature In A Separate Peace
A Separate Peace by John Knowles, introduces the story of Genes arduous struggle to adulthood
during a time when the U.S. is experiencing World War I, Gene constantly lashes at himself for his
incompetence to understand his adolescent feelings and excel like his honest and capable best friend,
Phineas or nicknamed Finny. Furthermore, Gene avoids confronting his fears in hope to maintain his
childlike happiness at school in conformity, but no doubt, I believe; growth comes only from strife and
struggle, and Gene protects his conformity through obedience to his friends and teachers, thus, Gene is
safe and can not grow. Presumably, Gene, unconsciously, thrusts Finny of a high tree in a fit of
jealousy of Finny s athletic talents, of which, Finny ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I mull over my project for days, finally, I went to scroll through reference images including the Philip
Exeter school and A Separate Peace posters, hoping to draw inspiration for my piece. Meanwhile, I
notice the covers revolves around Gene and Finny sitting and hanging out on the lone tree as best
friends lounging together, which was inaccurate, Gene and Finny never climbs the tree to converse.
Thus, I did not feel the artist made justice of the relevance of the scene. So, I flip through my cool
dark blue sketchbook to a silky and blank neonate page; crisp and full of possibility. Thereupon, I
drew two people as Gene since Leper remarks, I could see both of them... the sun was blazing... the
rays... shooting past them...like golden machine gun fire... them looked... as black as death standing
there...one of them... holding the trunk... sank... up and down... the other one sank and fell (174 176).
There is an uncertainty whether Gene is in front or behind Finny, however, Gene and the readers
understand Gene is in front, who pushes Finny off. I display Gene on the tree with lax Finny falling
down the branches, I made Finny falling like an elegant leaf floating down to the ground. Moreover,
Finny extends his athletic arms outwards to Gene like a child to his stuffed teddy bear. This scene is a
cause to Gene s bitter step to adulthood.

Male vs. Female Offenders
The prison world is predominately male dominated. As the years go by, female incarceration levels
have been rapidly increasing. The prisons in early days didn t have to worry about dealing with two
different types of inmates as there were not that many females incarcerated. While male and female
inmates do have some similarities, they also have some distinct differences. The way they conduct
themselves in prison are different; as are they way they interact with other inmates. Males typically
are in prison for more violent crimes than women, making the maximum security prisons mainly male.
Throughout this paper, these differences and a few similarities are discussed.

influence of either at the time of their offense. According to demographic data from 2002, more than
46% of females were using drugs or alcohol at the time of their offense, and more than 55% admitted
to drinking regularly.
Many females in prisons find surrogate families while they are being incarcerated. It is a personality
trait of many females to band together with others to pull through a rough and emotional time, such as
being in prison. Female inmates tend to have problems that males don t that bond them together
stronger. One such bond is the inmates that are pregnant at the time of their incarceration.
Homosexuality is prevalent in female institutions, largely because a high percentage of women have
been abused and misused by men for most of their lives, and they already have turned to other females
for their emotional needs. 1 in 4 women in prison has been sexually assaulted, most likely by male
staff. Sexual Assault in a women s prison isn t primarily about dominance as it is in a male prison.
MALE VS. FEMALE INMATES

The American prisons have been predominately male and continue to do so.

Themes in The Invisible Man by H.G Wells
The Invisible Man has many possible themes. There are multiple examples of different themes in the
novel. Most of them can almost fall under the same idea. The main theme for the novel is how
excessive greed can have unintended consequences. The main character, Griffin, goes mad with the
power of being invisible. It gets to the point that he is not even trying to just stay hidden anymore, he
is just trying to cause as much mayhem in the country as possible. One of the first instances of greed is
when he starts to take advantage of Mrs. Hall, the woman who owns the Coach Horses Inn. Mrs. Hall

to him wrapping his head up. Griffin keeps ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Pan Arabism Research Paper
Pan Arabism was a movement that reached its high point in the 60 s and 70 s that called for the
unification of countries from North Africa and Asia to create a national Arabic identity. Although Pan
Arabism was its own movement, it closely was tied with Arab Nationalism, which basically wanted a
unified Arab country with lesser western political intervention. In this paper I will talk about what lead
to Pan Arabism and how it came to become an actual movement. I will also cover Arab Nationalism
because of its close relation to Pan Arabism. After I talk about Pan Arabism, I will talk about the
importance of Arabic language to the actual Arabic identity and the efforts that are taken to prevent the
downfall of this language. I will also cover the Politics of the time period of Pan Arabism talking
about Nasserisim and the Bath Party. Lastly, and most Importantly, I will talk about unity in Pan
Arabism covering the United Arab Republic, the Islamist Arabic Union, Maghreb Union, and many
more. Basically, I will talk about what time frame these unions were introduced, what caused them,
what their intent was, and why they failed if they did so. I also intend on presenting the case as to
whether a true Arab identity exists and what makes it up. Initially, what caused the movements of Pan
Arabism and Arab Nationalism to fail is inevitable political intervention of western nations. I also
believe that language and geographic positions were not enough for nations to unify. That is what

Warlord Rule and Sun Yat Sen s Inability to Achieve the Aims of the Three People s Principles
I agree with the statement only to a small extent. The period of warlord rule was particularly chaotic in
China. However, even when order was being restored again, the aims of the three people s principles
were not all being achieved. Therefore, I feel that warlord rule is not the most important reason as to
why Sun Yat Sen was unable to achieve the aims of the three people s principles.
The three people s principles are the principle of nationalism, the principle of democracy and the
principle of the people s well being. The first one is Sun Yat Sen s aim to unite the whole of China. As

During this period, it was also a time of lawlessness. The warlords fought each other as they hoped to
gain control over a larger territory. This brought about much suffering to the Chinese people. Sun Yat
Sen s principle of democracy is not being upheld as these warlord ruled over their area like a dictator.
These warlords exploited the people under them, like the peasants. Thus it is clear that Sun Yat Sen s
principle s are not being achieved or even upheld. He, himself could not do anything as his party and
government was still too weak. However, this period of warlord rule is not the only factor that
prevented him from being unable to achieve his aims.
Due to the disunity in his party, Kuomintang (KMT), he could not achieve the aims of his three
principles. Before he can actually unite the whole country, he would need to unite his party members.
He often met failure when he tried to reunite the country due to internal squabbles in his own party.
They often argued over the third principle. Some party members wanted the land of the landlords to be
taken away from them, and come under state ownership. However, there were others who disagreed.
Therefore, this made it very difficult for Sun Yat Sen to get his party members to work together to
achieve his aims. He soon realised he had to reorganize his movement again before he could actually

So I had to do a self check to discover what my true purpose was in this life. How impactful was I in
changing the world. I was completely satisfied raising my son and being engaged in everything he was
involved in. However, the closer it came for him to graduate from high school the more I began to
think about what my new life would be like. I had to deal with the persisting question of what did I
want to do with the rest of my life. Overall, I felt like I was a pretty decent mother, an awesome
friend, a loving sister and I have a faith based foundation. Even with all those great attributes I still
didn t know what my true purpose was here on earth.
When I think of the questions easily, the first thing I thought of was philanthropy. Living a healthy
lifestyle would be next. I m very excited about getting the chance to expound on my future in
leadership and mentoring rolls. Next, I want to explore what full potential and purpose is and how can
I be a positive impact on the world. At this stage of my life I feel that it says Yes to: being a
philanthropist, having a health and wellness for my body and soul as well as being involved in
leadership and mentoring.

Health Emergency Of International Concern Essay
The earth as a whole is pretty stable; lives on earth remain relatively safe, growing and increasing in
population every day. Diseases and sickness comes to play now and then, but, for the most part, affect
the poor and undeveloped countries most heavy; developed countries like the U.S.A. have solutions
and vaccine for diseases and thus fear of sickness do not arise often. However, when they do, it is can
become a pandemic, a massive widespread of hazardous disease that potentially threatens the human
population. To prevent epidemics, countries formed the World Health Organization (WHO) to create
the Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) to help announce an event of an
extreme health hazard that spread (or is spreading) internationally and need international coalition to
cure or resolve. There are multiple phrases to pandemic before the PHEIC happens. To explore the
phases of a pandemic and when a PHEIC occur, I carried out simulation through a game called
Pandemic II to evaluate the phases and the reaction of the world and WHO. Before talking about the
simulation, there needs to be an understanding of the phases of a pandemic: Interpandemic phase,
Alert phases, Pandemic phase, Transition phase. Each phase carries a special role in how the world
react to solve a pandemic. The Interpandemic phase is more of a cautionary phase; nothing is
happening during this phase and life goes on normally. However, countries should be on the lookout

Neurology and Neurosurgery Essay
Neurology and Neurosurgery Neurology Overview
Although our primary interest is with the Medial
Temporal Lobe, also called the V5 area, a discussion of the entire motion perception pathway is
instructive. Motion perception actually begins with the specialized visual receptors in the retina
known as M cells (from the Latin word magnus, for large). As the name implies, the M cells are
relatively large, located in the peripheral retina, and respond quickly to transient visual stimulation
making them ideally suited for motion detection. By contrast, P cells are smaller, located in the fovea,
react more slowly to stimuli, and are suited to fine detail vision. Impulses from the retina then travel

(also called V1) where three specialized cell types (Simple,
Complex, and Hyper Complex) process stimulations as to their orientation, length, motional speed and
direction. Impulses are further processed in the V2 area in terms of shape and form, in the V3 area for
detail acuity plus some additional shape and form processing, the V4 area for color information
(Schiffman, 2000, p. 74), and the Medial Superior Temporal
(MST) and the Medial Temporal (MT), also called the V5 area
(Kalat, 2004. P. 171 172). The MST also receives impulses relating to eye movement and using a form
of feedback processing, it accounts for the near constant movement of the eyes themselves and
differentiates that information from the actual object movement. The MT area proper is more involved
with the processing of continuous motion. To illustrate the differences between the MT and the MST,
we can use the example of pouring a cup of coffee. A person suffering a lesion to the MST will
perceive stationary objects to be in near constant motion, and pouring from the perceived as moving
coffee pot into the also perceived as moving cup is an extremely difficult task requiring adaptive
behaviors just to perform it. A lesion to the MT would result

Johnny Tremain Character Analysis
Throughout the novel Johnny Tremain, the author, Esther Forbes, displays the universal concepts of
growing up and changing. When the story began, the protagonist, Johnny Tremain, was a fourteen
year old boy. At the end of the novel, Johnny emerges as a sixteen year old man, unrecognizable from
his younger self, due to carrying characteristics that contrast the traits of the young boy he once was.
As Johnny aged in the story, he underwent immense changes. Johnny had changed by gaining the
knowledge of how to make good choices, obtaining a better comprehension on things in life, and
learning to value certain items or deeds in life. During the time when one is maturing, it is common
that one will discover how to act wisely and behave properly. When Johnny was growing up, he
learned to think before he speaks. Formerly, Johnny would attack someone verbally if they infuriated
him. For instance, he acted out of anger and called Merchant Lyte a gallows bird when the merchant
took his cup. As Johnny matured, he eventually rid himself of his proclivity for verbal attacking those
who anger him and started to take his words into consideration before saying them. Johnny found this
method to be rewarding when the slave of Sam Adams soaked him with dishwater and he waited

Promiscuity In Sula
Steve Maraboli wrote, Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what
you do have power over, instead of craving control over what you don t. While perceptions towards
female sexuality have become more and more liberal over time, they still tend towards an expediently
bigoted dynamic in which women are only encouraged to be sexual to an extent. The idea of women
being self confident, even single minded, in cultivating rousing sex lives is still often looked upon as
immoral and impure. In Toni Morrisson s novel Sula, not only is female sexuality lopsidedly
categorized, it is seen as worthy for castigation. Missing from the main conceptualization is the blunt
acknowledgement that female promiscuity can be empowering. A woman can derive power from her
sexuality. By realizing what she s been gifted with, she can gain her freedom. Sexual empowerment
for her involves recognition of her sexual being, embracing that power, and exhibiting it confidently
without fear of disrepute. By embracing the body she is born into, understanding the power it wields,
and displaying total command in making choices regarding her body, she holds the power to not be
castigated for craving and loving sex. Neither is she belittled with abusive words for not keeping her
body as a holy shrine, allowing only one man entry. A sexually assured woman, conscious of her own
desires, and confident in her allure can claim sex solely on her own terms.

The Physics Of Magnetic Field
When a wire with current flowing through it, is placed in a magnetic field a force is placed on the
wire: this is the motor principle and this is the principle behind the loud speaker. Hello, My name is
Michael Trevorrow and you will be learning about the loud speaker and electromagnetism.
But first, if you want to understand the loud speaker you have to understand electromagnetism. Well
electromagnetism is simply the phenomenon of the interaction of electric currents or fields and
magnetic fields . This will become clearer later. All right the loud speaker we all know what they look
like, but we don t know how they work. When things shake or vibrate, they produce a sound. If a coil

The formula for a solenoid is B=u0nl, where n is the number of coils and I is the current. Being able to
show the strength, will show the loudness because the current flow alters the frequency and altering
the current flow will make the solenoid field larger.
Coils and changing direction
A conductor, copper, is tightly wrapped around a magnet to make a magnetic field. But how does this
create sound? The coil has a current flowing through it the coil moves and the polar orientation
reverses. When this is reversed it allows the magnetic forces between the coil and this allows the coil
to move up and down the magnet, which creates sound. The magnetic field can be increased by
putting more coils around the magnetic which leads to larger sound.
Current
Current is the driving force which causes the diaphragm acceleration. Current is a flow of electricity
which results from the ordered directional movement of electrically charged particles. In simple terms
current is the flow of electricity throughout the coil. Current is how we can change the frequency or
sound pitch of the speaker, by altering voltage it will change the current. Now we know what happens
inside a speaker, lets have a look at the magnets involved. Electromagnet (coil

Immigration Law And Family Law
The areas of Immigration Law and Family Law are so intertwined it is almost counterintuitive to
speak of Immigration without any mention of family. Immigration for the most part involves families;
to separate them is a divisive move of excommunication. This is the exact reason why Homeland
Security established the H1 fiancée visa. The H1 fiancé visa can expedite the waiting period for
immigration. Essentially an individual can claim that their fiancé resides in the United States and that
he/she intends to get married in the United States upon their arrival. These fast track options have
opened the floodgates for abuse with little to no safe guards in place. I believe this must change.
Recently I volunteered to help on a pro bono case involving ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

We proved that immigration abuse amongst family members was not only common, but also expected
of their U.S citizen counterparts. Despite this, we were able to secure a court order voiding the
marriage in the form of an annulment, and not a divorce. The Islamic magistrate would not dare defy a
court order stating such. This in turn, forced the Islamic Court to recognize the Court Ordered
Annulment and voided the Islamic marriage contract. Also, Homeland Security finally recognized that
the marriage was a farce and acknowledged that there was immigration abuse at hand, thereby
revoking the status of the fiancé visa.
Working side by side with an attorney on this matter has given me a unique perspective of foreign
family dynamics and if combined with the U.S Family Law, I truly believe I can make a difference
one person at a time. It would be an honor to be amongst those elite attorneys who defy cultural norms
in the face of injustice when recognizing a true family situation versus a

The Components Of Social Work
The main element that drew me to the profession of social work was the diverse opportunities
available. Social work is a very flexible field that consists of many different components such as
family and child welfare, poverty and inequality, and substance abuse/ addiction. The main component
of social work that interests me is working with people who have disabilities, mental and/or physical.
According to our textbook about 11.3% of social workers with bachelor s work in this field (Cox,
Tice, Long, 2016, pg. 17). I discovered that I was interested in this component of social work after a
traumatic experience that left me with a disability.
Component of Social Work A disability is usually defined as a decline in function that can either be
temporary or permanent. There are two main groupings of disabilities; categorial and functional.
Categorial disabilities include mental illnesses and sensory damage which often leads to
developmental delays. In comparison, functional disabilities cause limitations during physical activity.
Individuals can also suffer from more than one disability which is known as a co occurring disability
(Cox et al., 2016, pg. 159). Social workers often view disabilities in three types; developmental
disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental disabilities. A developmental disability is a long term
disability that is typically diagnosed before age 22. These disabilities include Autism, Cerebral Palsy,
and Down Syndrome (Cox et al., 2016, pg.

Aristotle’s Theory of Virtue and Happiness
Aristotle s Theory of Virtue and Happiness
Aristotle was one of the most respected philosophers of all time. He wrote on many subjects covering
a wide range of topics; politics, psychology, metaphysics, logic and ethics. In the article Nature of
Virtue written by Aristotle, his theory of a persons happiness and good morals is explained. I agree
that a human s goal in life is to be happy, and to live a good life but happiness and good do not come
hand in hand. In this paper, I disagree with Aristotle s proper function argument.
The word happiness is a much broader term to Aristotle than what we think of. (Johnston, Para. F) By
happiness he means successful, living a good life and physical well being. A fully happy life would ...

You must be taught to be good in order to be good. According to Aristotle, your characteristics come
from your actions; in other words, you become good by doing good (Cahn 113). Under Aristotle s
theory, to be a good person, you must have been taught to be good at a young age to acquire good
morals. In order to profit from the sort of study he is undertaking, one must already have been brought
up in good habits ( Traditional Virtues and The Skeptic .) This means the group of people with
potential to have virtue and happiness is limited. It is limited to the people who come from a family
with good ethics. The only people who are going to become good, are the people who are already well
on their way to be good because their family is training them to be this way. But what about the people
who come from bad families? Or what about the people who were raised by ethically good families?
For example, a child who was brought up by parents who had no ethics or good morals at all. The
mother was a drug addict, and the father ran away while the child was at an early age. The child wasn
t taught anything about morals, and did not have a proper upbringing what so ever. Everything the
child knew was learnt on his own, and he decided who he wanted to be an acted in relation to this.
This child ends up being a good person, has a good job, and lives in happiness. When Aristotle makes
the point that you must have had exercise in virtues, he does not have any

Natalie Coughlin s Engagement Ring
When we think of large or impressive celebrity engagement rings, we often think of actresses, singers,
or models. While female athletes are not often known for their flashy jewelry, many of them also have
beautiful engagement rings, proving that you can be active and still enjoy gorgeous jewelry. Here are
eight great engagement rings worn by some famous female athletes.
Natalie Coughlin
Olympic gold medalist swimmer Natalie Coughlin has been married now for more than seven years,
but that does not make her ring, given to her by her husband and fellow swimmer Ethan Hall, old
news. Coughlin s engagement ring is a 2 carat round cut diamond on a platinum band.
Maria Höfl Riesch
Maria Höfl Riesch, a retired German skiing star, who is close friends with American skiing sensation
Lindsey Vonn, married her manager, Marcus Höfl in April 2011. The German skier s ... Show more

The next month, they announced the marriage and posted pictures, including photos some featuring
the bride s ring. The ring has a large square diamond surrounded by smaller round diamonds. The
band includes two trails of diamonds that cross along the sides.
Tara Lipinski
She stole the world s hearts when she won the 1998 Olympic gold medal in women s figure skating.
Now, apparently Todd Kapostasy, a Fox Sports producer, has stolen Lipinski s heart. The couple got
engaged in December 2015, and the bride to be got a large oval solitaire diamond ring.
Nastia Liukin
When 2008 all around gymnastics Olympic gold medalist Nastia Liukin and Matt Lombardi, a former
college hockey player, got engaged in June 2015, she was excited to show off her engagement ring.
Liukin s approximately 4 carat diamond ring features a center cushion cut diamond surrounded by a
halo of diamonds. The band also includes diamonds. Liukin s ring is estimated to be worth somewhere
in the six figure range.

Essay on Poor Education is a Cyclical Trap
Undoubtedly, the inadequate condition of our country s education system is cyclical. The level of
poverty in the United States is high; therefore, economic problems prevent many from receiving
sufficient education. This deficiency prevents higher levels of learning, which stand in the way of our
nation s economic growth. This situation is simultaneously widespread and continuous. The
importance in providing better educational opportunities should be recognized, supported and
enforced in our country in order to improve our current situation.
The lack of government funds to pay for school necessities greatly contribute to our problem of poor
education. Due to our weakened economy in the United States we lack the financial power to ... Show

Furthermore, disregard for knowledge will perpetuate health issues and unemployment which can
contribute to homelessness.
When family values are suffering, education amongst the children within that family may also suffer.
The causes of deterioration within the family structure may also be created by economic problems and
a lack of community support. When value is placed on working to earn support within a financially
disadvantaged family, the value placed on education is non existent. Children are not instilled with the
value of education to earn more money, since money is needed for immediately survival. Parents do
not have time to involve themselves with the school system and attend teacher conferences to assist
their children. Familial and cultural cycles develop that are extremely difficult to break. Uneducated
parents do not encourage their children to achieve higher education. There is likelihood for this type of
family to produce unemployable offspring. More unemployed people equate to more receiving
government benefits, further exacerbating social problems. This situation creates a need for even more
social services and places a further strain on government resources.
The placement of value on education is detrimental for the future of our country. Looking to other
successful countries, it is clear that the basis of a good education is comprised of math, reading and
science. It is to our

  • 2. How Ultra s Customer Database Meets The Not Generally... II. Not Generally Known or Readily Ascertainable C A court is likely to find that Ultra s customer database meets the not generally known or readily ascertainable element. R In determining whether information is not generally known or readily ascertainable, courts consider the following two Restatement factors: the extent to which the information is known outside of the business and the ease or difficulty with which the information could be properly acquired or duplicated by others. Al Minor, 117 Ohio St. 3d at 61 (citing Plain Dealer, 80 Ohio St. 3d at 524 25). To determine whether the information is not generally known or readily ascertainable is if a trade secret owner collected and/or compiled the information from a variety of sources, thus this may support a finding that the information is not generally known or readily ascertainable. Salemi, 145 Ohio St. 3d at ¶29. To determine whether a customer list is not generally known, it ordinarily includes not only the name of a business or person but also information that is not generally available to the public, such as the name of a contact person, a non public telephone or cell phone number, an email address, and other data known only because of the relationship with the client. Salemi, 2014 Ohio 3914 at ¶18 (citing Columbus Bookkeeping, 2011 Ohio App. LEXIS 5655). It s almost like the moon, with extensive mare like plains and heavy cratering, showing that the planet has been geologically inactive for billions of years. Craters range in diameter from bowl shaped cavities to multi ringed impact basins hundreds of kilometers across. One of the largest crater is the Caloris Basin, with the diameter of 1,550 km. The impact was so powerful that it caused lava eruptions and a concentrated ring over 2 km tall surrounding the basin to form. There are two distinct regions of plains on Mercury. These plains occur between the crater impacts and they bear a strong resemblence to the lunar maria. From the MESSENGER spacecraft, we were able to see that there ... • 4. Difference Between The Judicial Branch And The Executive... ¨Separation of Powers: Framework for Freedom¨ James Madison once stated in Federalist 51 If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. Madison was asserting that humans are flawed and that separation of powers was designed to divide up the power and the responsibilities. Each branch would be able to check on the other one. There are three branches the Judicial Branch, the Legislative Branch, and the Executive Branch. Each of them have their own duties to fulfill and separation of powers prohibits one branch from exercising the functions of the other ones. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Supreme Court was made by the Constitution. Therefore, the Judicial Court plays a vital role in America. The Legislative Branch is a fundamental aspect of the US because it is where laws are made and eventually either passed or vetoed. Failure is a hard lesson to learn, but it teaches us not to give up and to keep trying. Failure is part of the journey to success. Downs happen so the ups can follow. Failure just makes us work harder for what we want. The most rewarding thing is overcoming the obstacles and reaching full potential. • 6. Childhood Obesity Is A Tremendous Problem Among Our Youth... Childhood obesity is a tremendous problem among our youth today. Over the past couple of decades, the prevalence of obesity has increased dramatically. Studies show that in the last 30 years the percent of 6 to 11 year olds as well as the percent of 12 to 19 year olds who fall under the obese or overweight category has tripled (Finkelstein). Nearly two out of every three Americans are overweight or obese, and one out of every eight deaths in the United States is caused by an obesity related illness (Carmona). Obesity has always been an issue, but in recent decades the severity of the cases of obesity as well as the percent of obese people has increased dramatically. There are many factors that contribute to obesity. Heredity is one of the key factors in determining whether or not a child becomes overweight or obese. When one of the parents is overweight or obese, the chance that he/she will have a child that is also overweight increases by 50 percent. Additionally, if both parents are considered overweight, the chances that their child will be obese as well increases to 80 percent (Wexler). Furthermore, once the child is born and grows up, he or she is more likely to become obese if both of his or her parents work (Wexler). This is because working parents don t always have the time to make healthy dinners or supervise everything their child consumes. Consequently, children can consistently eat unhealthy meals and snacks resulting in an increase in weight gain. Did you ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Dynamics Of The Pacific Ocean Essay The grand expanse of the Pacific Ocean possesses a very extensive, and often debated history of human expansion into the thousands of islands that exist within the region. There exists a range of fields that are interested in the voyaging of what is called Remote Oceania, or the parts of the Pacific that would require advanced navigation techniques due to the fact that the next island is either out of sight or simply unknown. Biologists study the movement and development of the human race while linguists study the development of the Austronesian language family that can be found in this region. Archaeologists are interested in the existence of elaborate Lapita pottery and anthropologists wish to understand the cultural traditions and dynamics of the past and current populations of these Pacific islands. Due to the shared interest in this region from many fields, it is important for an understanding of the movement of the populations over time throughout Remote Oceania to be understood. In this paper I will discuss some of the dynamics of the oral traditions of the region regarding ocean travel, investigate the scale of the task that these navigators were up against, explain the variety of canoe types along with the navigational techniques that were used to maneuver them, and discuss the current standings among scholars on the path of expansion in this region. How Conflict Affects Relationships I feel as though that sometimes no one will help those with conflicts, perhaps because they don t know what to do or maybe because they think the person should work through it themselves. Those are two different reactions, but the second one is more harsh. Truthfully, we do not know what we, ourselves, can handle often times. The Cross Pollination Religious Customs And Material Culture The cross pollination religious customs and material culture in the Cuban Diaspora has provided a wealth of indigenous and assimilative sources (Gordon, 2014: 53), and this has afforded Mendive a rich abundance of inherited iconography of fauna, flora and otherworldly phenomena to consume and use in the process of creating his artworks. Mendive is able to animate the pantheon of Orishas, depicted as either interacting with or sometimes assimilating human postures and gestures. Such representations of the Santería cosmic beings investigate concepts of hybridity, New Word practices of syncretism, and notions of a perceived combining of different and seemingly contradictory beliefs through the blending of customs and traditions of different schools of thought and discourse (Turner, 2014). In The Creation of Afro Caribbean Religions and their Incorporation of Catholic Elements Bettina Schmidt maintains that syncretism is too simple a term to use in attempting to encapsulate the full meaning behind the creation process of Santería. This theory came about after they criticised the Multi store model of memory saying it was too simplistic and descriptive rather that actually explaining the model. This theory was an alternative to the Multi store model as it replaces the idea of Short term and Log term memory. The depth of the information go from shallow to deep processing. The levels are made up of structural processing which are upper and lower class letters, Phonetic or sound processing which are rhyming words and lastly semantic processing which is about the meanings of the words. The experiment done in our lesson was about different types of processing. Results of that showed that the semantic processing was the one that we had processed the deepest as we had to actually recognise and process the words into our long term memory, and not just based on the appearance of the word. When information is first processed, it goes to the sensory memory. From there if the information I attended to, it will be processed into the short term memory and if not it will probably be lost. If information from the short term memory is rehearsed, it will be processed into the long term memory where it can stay for up to a lifetime. There are two types of rehearsal which are used in different ways of remembering information. These are called elaborative rehearsal and maintenance rehearsal. Maintenance rehearsal involves purely repeating the information over and over again, whereas elaborative rehearsal involves doing something with the material a you repeat it, ... • 12. The Performance Of The Symphony I have never had the chance to sit and watch a symphony before. I have heard them in plays and other performances, but they have never been the main production in something I have seen. It was very interesting to see the structure behind the sound. The amount of people and different instruments all together making a cohesive piece of music was absolutely incredible. There appeared to be well over 50 musicians working together to produce different sounds that fit together so tenaciously. Among the instruments involved in the orchestra, I noticed cellos, flutes, clarinets, cymbals, tambourines, trumpets, violins, trombones, tubas, french horns, and even a few instruments that I could not recognize. The diversity in the instruments created a strong yet effortless feeling in the listener. The music flowed so well that it seemed simple and easy, yet when I looked into the orchestra and saw how many components go into the composition, it is clear that it is quite intricate. The symphony was set in a beautiful concert venue, the Boston Symphony Hall. The high ceilings were dripping with elaborate chandeliers, creating beautiful lighting for the on stage performers. The chairs of the instrumentalists were turned in a way so that all the performers could be viewed by the audience, and the conductors back was turned so he could face his orchestra. The walls on both sides were lined with two levels of seats, and four rows of seats were organized in front of the stage. Four windows ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The RWA ratio of China rose with fluctuations during the period of 2005 to 2012, then it declined gradually after 2013. • 14. The Theory Of The Hypostatic Union There have been many attempts to define and describe the concept of the Hypostatic Union. Charles C. Ryrie proposed that the uniqueness of Christianity in its belief in Christ as the God man is often hard to understand, since there is no way to compare or contrast this concept with any other God man in history. Across time many people have come to the conclusion that Jesus Christ is God. While others believed He was truly human. Yet in the annals of the gospels we only see one Person Jesus Christ. It is the union of these two natures, that of the undiminished deity and the perfect humanity that is called the doctrine of the hypostatic union and it is this union that truly makes of the uniqueness of Jesus Christ.1 Definition Paul Enns describes the dualistic nature of the Hypostatic Union as God the Son and forever the true God takes upon Himself the full nature of man. The two natures are both fully God and fully man without intermingling yet one Person Christ God Man.2 The Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church on the other had describes the Hypostatic Union simply as the union of the Divine and human natures in One Person.3 Differing Views of Hypostatic Union W. G. T. Shedd in A. W. Gomes, Dogmatic Theology describes the union of the divine and human natures by looking at the words nature and substance in the Greek language. • 16. Passion And Love In KillingsAndA Rose For Emily These two short stories delve on the theme of passion, crime and morality. The violence committed in both stories is deployed with the threat of love and with the longing for love as well. Killings portrays a father s love to his child and the desire to avenge his death. However, the own crime he has committed led to self destruction and some sort of self murder. The character is in ironic position since he was confronted with the ardent desire to revenge and the guilt that came with it. Anger and righteousness can be sympathetically felt with the character. Similarly, A Rose for Emily portrays love as the root cause of the crime. In this story, the father suppressed his daughter s woman life which eventually led to her killing her lover to find eternal love. The two stories are the same in some aspect in terms of the theme which revolves on passion and crime. However, the character differs greatly on the impact of the crime committed by them. In Killings , the character felt guilt and a sort of self death. The character in A rose for Emily on the other hand, died with no remorse for what she committed. The story of Killings by Andre Dubus centers on the theme of vengeance. The lead character, Matt Fowler, plotted revenge on the young man who killed his son. The act of killing was more of a private vengeance rather than an act of protection. • 18. Pros And Cons Of Animal Testing An animal test is any scientific experiment or test in which a live animal is forced to undergo something that is likely to cause them pain, suffering, distress or lasting harm. As right now, millions of mice, rats, rabbits, primates, cats, dogs, and other animals are locked inside barren cages in laboratories across the country. They languish in pain, suffer from extreme frustration, ache with loneliness, and long to be free. The complete lack of environmental enrichment and stress of their living situation cause some animals to develop neurotic types of behavior such as incessantly spinning in circles, rocking back and forth, pulling out their own fur, and even biting themselves. They shake and cower in fear whenever someone approaches, and their blood pressure spikes dramatically. After enduring a life of pain, loneliness, and terror, almost all of them will be killed. There are many non animal test methods that can be used in place of test on animals. Not only are these non animal test more humane, they also have potential to be cheaper, faster, and more relevant to humans. Some of this methods are non invasive imaging techniques such as MRIs and CT scans, computer models and simulations, and stem cell and genetic testing methods. When thinking of sexual exploitation, forced prostitution and rape are often the first to come to mind; however, women of Haiti have been noted to consciously choose to exploit themselves. Furthermore, women will trade sex for a goods, shelter, or even security, in turn causing sex to be classified as an income generating strategy (Kempadoo, 84). According to a statistic pulled in 1984, 30 percent of the prostitutes from Haiti or from the Dominican Republic were between fifteen and twenty years old (Benoit, 39). • 21. Internal Domain Name System for Company Internal Domain Name System for Company Alpha Introduction The DNS is a vital Internet component providing mechanisms for resolving host names into IP addresses and vice versa. In addition, DNS supports other Internet directories concerning DNS name servers and mail exchangers among others (Garfinkel Spafford, 1997). Despite being a universally accepted and widely used system, insecure protocols and lack of authentication among other factors within the DNS threaten proper functionality of the DNS. Moreover, the accuracy of the information contained within the DNS is vital to many aspects of IP based communications. Domain Model for the Organization The domain appropriate for this organization is the Berkeley Internet Name Domain (BIND). This domain name is selected since it compatible with most operating systems including UNIX; it is also used by most Internet Service Providers (Stevens, 1990). In addition, BIND is recommended for the firm since its configuration files are easier to maintain than other server DNSs such as Sendmail (Terry, Painter, Riggle, Zhou, 1984). Using this DNS, cache only name servers are easily placed strategically within the internal network to remove unwanted traffic and expensive WAN links. Moreover, BIND supports DNS SEC, TSIG IPv4 among other DNS protocol enhancements. Given the popularity of BIND, it is often targeted by hackers. Therefore, limiting zone transfers to slave name servers and limiting transfer in the zone can reduce the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The main reason for this is the new trend of online shopping. Online shopping has started to become one of the main ways for many people to shop because of how convenient it is, you can sit at your computer at home and order what you would get at the store. The origin of online shopping started from an English professor named Michael Aldrich in 1979 when he made a new system that made online purchases capable and safe (Duncan, E). • 23. A Basic Understanding Of Network Competencies Essay A basic understanding of network competencies is necessary to succeed in most technology fields and it is a foundational requirement for roles that deal directly with network communications. In today s connected world of the cloud, apps that depend on internet connectivity, and even thermostats that can have their temperature set across the internet, the need to understand how networking works is expanding beyond the traditional roles of Network Administrators, Network Engineers, and information security professionals to developers, systems administrators, analysts, and support personnel. A fundamental understanding of networking is necessary to succeed in most technology jobs. Two such jobs are the Systems Administrator and the Systems Analyst, which have different training and educational requirements. While much of the Systems Administrator s job revolves around network related tasks, they also spend a lot of time on servers, software systems, databases, and storage. Systems Administrators can be responsible for networking and most of what they do depends on the network, the majority of their time is spent on Servers, software systems like Active Directory or databases, applications, and storage. Most mid to large organizations will have at least one dedicated Network Administrator or Network Engineer. The Systems Analyst job has a much wider skill set, but it also includes some knowledge of computer networking. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics website, ... Many states vary when determining whether or not a children should be tried as an adult or what the minimum or maximum ages courts must follow or what crimes they are allowed try are. Taking Illinois for example, the set age required by law for a children to be transferred into adult court is seventeen. However, in Illinois there is a major exception to this rule. State law changes the minimum age to fifteen when crimes of murder of the first degree, aggravated sexual assault, armed robbery, robbery with possession of a firearm, and use of weapons on school grounds are committed (Carp, Stidham, and Manning, 67). Illinois considers these offenses the most serious. Another type of waiver that can take place is a waiver into teen court. 300 different jurisdictions are experimenting with this idea. Teen court is a helpful alternative to juvenile court. This court also helps keeps the labeling stigma of convict off of a juvenile offender. These courts typically handle juvenile offenders between the ages of ten and fifteen who are being charges with minor violations such as disorderly conduct, shoplifting, and other types of criminal mischief. Through the great earthquake, Kurosawa wrote, I learnt not only of the extra ordinary powers of nature, but of the extra ordinary things that lie in human hearts (Something Like.. p.23). As the name implies, the M cells are relatively large, located in the peripheral retina, and respond quickly to transient visual stimulation making them ideally suited for motion detection. The MT area proper is more involved with the processing of continuous motion. To illustrate the differences between the MT and the MST, we can use the example of pouring a cup of coffee. Promiscuity In Sula Steve Maraboli wrote, Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over, instead of craving control over what you don t. While perceptions towards female sexuality have become more and more liberal over time, they still tend towards an expediently bigoted dynamic in which women are only encouraged to be sexual to an extent. The idea of women being self confident, even single minded, in cultivating rousing sex lives is still often looked upon as immoral and impure. In Toni Morrisson s novel Sula, not only is female sexuality lopsidedly categorized, it is seen as worthy for castigation. Missing from the main conceptualization is the blunt acknowledgement that female promiscuity can be empowering. A woman can derive power from her sexuality. By realizing what she s been gifted with, she can gain her freedom. Sexual empowerment for her involves recognition of her sexual being, embracing that power, and exhibiting it confidently without fear of disrepute. By embracing the body she is born into, understanding the power it wields, and displaying total command in making choices regarding her body, she holds the power to not be castigated for craving and loving sex. Neither is she belittled with abusive words for not keeping her body as a holy shrine, allowing only one man entry. Coils and changing direction A conductor, copper, is tightly wrapped around a magnet to make a magnetic field. But how does this create sound? The coil has a current flowing through it the coil moves and the polar orientation reverses. When this is reversed it allows the magnetic forces between the coil and this allows the coil to move up and down the magnet, which creates sound. The magnetic field can be increased by putting more coils around the magnetic which leads to larger sound. Current Current is the driving force which causes the diaphragm acceleration. Despite this, we were able to secure a court order voiding the marriage in the form of an annulment, and not a divorce. The Islamic magistrate would not dare defy a court order stating such. This in turn, forced the Islamic Court to recognize the Court Ordered Annulment and voided the Islamic marriage contract. Also, Homeland Security finally recognized that the marriage was a farce and acknowledged that there was immigration abuse at hand, thereby revoking the status of the fiancé visa. Working side by side with an attorney on this matter has given me a unique perspective of foreign family dynamics and if combined with the U.S Family Law, I truly believe I can make a difference one person at a time. It would be an honor to be amongst those elite attorneys who defy cultural norms in the face of injustice when recognizing a true family situation versus a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. The Components Of Social Work The main element that drew me to the profession of social work was the diverse opportunities available. Social work is a very flexible field that consists of many different components such as family and child welfare, poverty and inequality, and substance abuse/ addiction. The main component of social work that interests me is working with people who have disabilities, mental and/or physical. According to our textbook about 11.3% of social workers with bachelor s work in this field (Cox, Tice, Long, 2016, pg. 17). I discovered that I was interested in this component of social work after a traumatic experience that left me with a disability. Component of Social Work A disability is usually defined as a decline in function that can either be temporary or permanent. There are two main groupings of disabilities; categorial and functional. • 46. Aristotle’s Theory of Virtue and Happiness Aristotle s Theory of Virtue and Happiness Aristotle was one of the most respected philosophers of all time. He wrote on many subjects covering a wide range of topics; politics, psychology, metaphysics, logic and ethics. In the article Nature of Virtue written by Aristotle, his theory of a persons happiness and good morals is explained. I agree that a human s goal in life is to be happy, and to live a good life but happiness and good do not come hand in hand. In this paper, I disagree with Aristotle s proper function argument. The word happiness is a much broader term to Aristotle than what we think of. (Johnston, Para. F) By happiness he means successful, living a good life and physical well being. According to Aristotle, your characteristics come from your actions; in other words, you become good by doing good (Cahn 113). Under Aristotle s theory, to be a good person, you must have been taught to be good at a young age to acquire good morals. In order to profit from the sort of study he is undertaking, one must already have been brought up in good habits ( Traditional Virtues and The Skeptic .) This means the group of people with potential to have virtue and happiness is limited. It is limited to the people who come from a family with good ethics. The only people who are going to become good, are the people who are already well on their way to be good because their family is training them to be this way. But what about the people who come from bad families? Or what about the people who were raised by ethically good families? For example, a child who was brought up by parents who had no ethics or good morals at all. The mother was a drug addict, and the father ran away while the child was at an early age. The child wasn t taught anything about morals, and did not have a proper upbringing what so ever. Everything the child knew was learnt on his own, and he decided who he wanted to be an acted in relation to this. This child ends up being a good person, has a good job, and lives in happiness. When Aristotle makes the point that you must have had exercise in virtues, he does not have any ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
