Throughout creating a media product, the author learned to use several new technologies. The author gained skills in Photoshop to create and edit images and logos for things like magazine covers. Podcasts were used as an interactive way to present work, which the author had not created before but learned quickly. Prezzi was utilized to make presentations accessible online, though the author was previously unfamiliar with it, but found it easy to use and a good way to present work interactively.

2. Throughout constructing my media product I have used a number of
new technologies and gained new skills learning how to use them.
Throughout planning, constructing and evaluating I have used a
range of technologies to present my work. For example
Photoshop
Slideshare
Prezzi
Podcasts
Apple mac
Camera’s
Indesign
Powerpoint
Internet (images)

3. Photoshop
Before starting this course I had little expierence using
Photoshop, I've now learned and I’m able to create and edit
images, logos and use a wide range of tools on there.
For example my front page of my magazine has my own
image on, text colours and backgrounds all put together to
look like a real media product.
Photoshop could also help me in the future to design and
make things to a professional level.
I also used common magazine conventions
of the front of my magazine by using
Photoshop, for example bar codes, tag line
and mastheads. This is effective as using
Photoshop has given it a professional look
to make it look like a real media product.

4. Podcasts
I uses a podcast as an alternative way to present my work, I think its more
interactive and interesting for the audience then just reading a PowerPoint all
the time. I had never made a podcast before, but quickly picked it up. I think I
will use podcasts in the future and they are a more interesting way of delivering
information to an audience.

5. Prezzi
I used to prezzi to
present my presentations
as its an easy accessible
way for and audience to
view my work. I hadn't
used prezzi before but
will probably use it in the
future as its quick and
easy to use to present
work with and can be
made in interesting more
interactive ways, for
example adding music
and themes to suit the
presentation. I used a
presentation with a
music theme as its for a
music magazine so It
links to the context.
