This document discusses productivity, including definitions, measurement, factors influencing productivity, and types of productivity. Productivity is defined as the ratio of output to input and can be measured in various ways depending on the industry. Productivity is influenced by both controllable internal factors and uncontrollable external factors. Productivity can be considered partially based on individual inputs like labor hours, or totally considering all inputs. Improving productivity provides benefits like increased profits and market share.

Some days ago, I found a discussion about the difference between Efficiency and Productivity.
I tried to answer in that forum from my understanding. In that discussion i called OEE as Productivity.
Definition of Productivity, Measurement of productivity, benefits of productivity, the role of management, government and labour to improve the productivity, factors affecting the productivity
A presentation on TPM and its objectives, goals, benefits, pillars and other aspects have been explored as well as its relation to 5s & visual. In the end, step by step implementation of TPM, losses & OEE, these tools also have been shown & discussed.

Production planning and control refers to two strategies that work cohesively throughout the manufacturing process. Production planning involves what to produce, when to produce it, how much to produce, and more. A long-term view of production planning is necessary to fully optimize the production flow.
Production control uses different control techniques to reach optimum performance from the production system to achieve throughput targets.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

2. Introduction
• Productivity is the output of any production process, per unit of
input.
• To increase productivity means to produce more with less.
• Output per unit of input employed.
• Increase productivity on the part of capital and labour.
3. Measurement of Productivity
• Productivity can be measured, the amount of output.
• In a factory, it might be measured based on the number of
hours it takes to produce a good.
• While in service industry, might be measured based on
the income generated by an employee divided by his / her
salary.
7. Partial Productivity
• The resources of productivity when measured
separately are called Partial Productivity.
Output in
a given
period
Labor

Productivity
8. Total Productivity
The method of calculating productivity considering
all the resources is called Total Productivity.
• Total productivity provides systematic framework
and structure to an organization and increase
profitability.

Total
Output
Total Input
9. Productivity Benefits
• Increased in income / profitability.
• Lowering running cost / operational cost.
• Maximizing the use of all of the company's resources such as
land, equipment/ machineries, factory, workers, and etc.
• Gaining a greater share of the market.
• More cash flows mean more opportunity for the company to
expand and grows.
15. Few Ways to Improve in Garment Production
• Conducting motion study and correcting faulty
• Hourly operator check
• Use best possible line layout
• Scientific work station layout
• Reduce line setting time
• Improve line balancing
• Training for Line supervisors
• Training to sewing operators
• Installing better equipment
• Operator motivation
