This document provides an update on railway rehabilitation projects in Cambodia, including the northern and southern lines. It summarizes the scope of rehabilitation works, sources of financing, rehabilitation progress to date, and plans to complete remaining sections by 2013. Challenges include seeking additional funds to complete all planned rehabilitation for the full northern line from Phnom Penh to Poipet and to upgrade parts of the line to higher loading standards. A concession agreement has been signed to resume passenger and freight rail services between Phnom Penh and Touk Meas.
