This document discusses different types of e-learning environments and gesture-based computing. It describes web-based learning which includes virtual learning environments and digital broadcasting, and computer-based learning using CDs/DVDs or applications on PCs/devices. Gesture-based computing interprets human gestures through algorithms and examples include interacting with on-screen characters and gesture-based simulations. Popular games and gesture interfaces from MIT and Toshiba are also mentioned.
