Deployment of using cloud services as a new approach to keep people's platforms,
Infrastructure and applications has become an important issue in the world of communications
technology. This is a very useful paradigm for humans to obtain their essential needs simpler,
faster ,more flexible, and safer than before. But there are many concerns about this system
challenge. Security is the most important challenge for cloud systems. In this paper we design

introduce some confidentiality and security methods in each layer to have a secure access to
requirements. The architecture of our method and the implementation of method on our selected
platform for each layer are introduced in this paper.

This document introduces a new approach to testing that focuses on integration testing rather than isolated unit testing. It advocates for a "classicist" style without mocking, using fakes when needed. Tests are organized into a dedicated module and follow principles of dependency injection. While some runtime services cannot be reproduced, the goal is to test domain logic by faking services like messaging that get in the way. This provides a better tradeoff between speed and fidelity than traditional unit testing or full container testing.

HyperSwap provides high availability by allowing volumes to be accessible across two IBM Spectrum Virtualize systems in a clustered configuration. It uses synchronous remote copy to replicate primary and secondary volumes between the two systems, making the volumes appear as a single object to hosts. This allows host I/O to continue if an entire system fails without any data loss. The configuration requires a quorum disk in a third site for the cluster to maintain coordination and survive failures across the two main sites.

Cloud security is the protection against cloud-related threats or attacks. It is a
primary priority for every company embarking on digital transformation to cloud
technology in this new digital world. Today businesses frequently use the terms
digital transformation and cloud migration. As enterprises migrate to the cloud for
their operations and data storage, security must be considered.
Overview of Cloud Computing, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, Software as a Service.
Cloud computing means transferring ICT resources (servers, hosts, applications, databases, platforms etc.) to a cloud service provider (CSP) with the goal of reducing capital expenditures (CapEx).
Cloud computing differs from legacy hosting services in that CSPs offer standardized services on a massive scale which results in economy-of-scale effects thus further reducing operating expenses (OpEx).
Different cloud models such as public, private and hybrid clouds address different customer needs.
The 3 categories for the functional level of cloud services are IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service),
PaaS (Platform as a Service) and SaaS (Software as a Service). Countless models emerge almost daily such as MaaS (Management as a Service), BaaS (Backend as a Service) and NaaS (Network as a Service).
To accommodate increases in processing power, cloud services offer the possibility to scale-up or scale-out.
Cisco Virtualized Multi-tenant Data Center solution (VMDC) is an architectural approach to IT which delivers a Cloud Ready Infrastructure. The architecture encompasses multiple systems and functions defining a standard framework for an IT organization. Standardization allows the organization to achieve operational efficiencies, reduce risk and achieve cost reductions while offering a consistent platform for business.
Multiple ways of building hybrid clouds on KubernetesJanos Matyas
There has been a lot of talk about hybrid-clouds over the years. We think that beneath the buzzwords lie some very important use-cases driven by the needs of enterprises and SaaS providers. However, delivering and operating hybrid-clouds and creating a seamless operational experience has been too complex for most organizations. This is - in part - due to the observation that there can be different hybrid-techniques that are best for different needs. We present 4 different approaches to building hybrid clouds on Kubernetes: cluster groups, federation, service mesh and a custom K8s cloud controller.

[OReilly Superstream] Occupy the Space: A grassroots guide to engineering (an...Jason Yip
The typical problem in product engineering is not bad strategy, so much as “no strategy”. This leads to confusion, lack of motivation, and incoherent action. The next time you look for a strategy and find an empty space, instead of waiting for it to be filled, I will show you how to fill it in yourself. If you’re wrong, it forces a correction. If you’re right, it helps create focus. I’ll share how I’ve approached this in the past, both what works and lessons for what didn’t work so well.

From Natural Language to Structured Solr Queries using LLMsSease
This talk draws on experimentation to enable AI applications with Solr. One important use case is to use AI for better accessibility and discoverability of the data: while User eXperience techniques, lexical search improvements, and data harmonization can take organizations to a good level of accessibility, a structural (or “cognitive” gap) remains between the data user needs and the data producer constraints.
That is where AI – and most importantly, Natural Language Processing and Large Language Model techniques – could make a difference. This natural language, conversational engine could facilitate access and usage of the data leveraging the semantics of any data source.
The objective of the presentation is to propose a technical approach and a way forward to achieve this goal.
The key concept is to enable users to express their search queries in natural language, which the LLM then enriches, interprets, and translates into structured queries based on the Solr index’s metadata.
This approach leverages the LLM’s ability to understand the nuances of natural language and the structure of documents within Apache Solr.
The LLM acts as an intermediary agent, offering a transparent experience to users automatically and potentially uncovering relevant documents that conventional search methods might overlook. The presentation will include the results of this experimental work, lessons learned, best practices, and the scope of future work that should improve the approach and make it production-ready.
