CMOS OTA TANNER EDA TOOL is used. Coding and simulation is done in T-Spice and layout is
prepared in L-Edit. D.C analysis, A.C analysis, slew rate and analysis of transient response have been
done in T-Spice. Waveforms are observed in W-Edit.

Polar codes are one of the best linear block codes that are capacity achieving and incorporating along with it a simplified encoding and decoding routines. Successive cancellation (SC) algorithm is one of the predominantly used decoding algorithms due to its low complexity. It has broad scopes for hardware architecture design and reformulation. For polar code, the trade-off among the long latency and the silicon area of the SC algorithm is a bottleneck for the design of a high throughput polar decoder. The available prior SC polar decoder designs have higher area requirements for higher block length. This paper introduces a unique reformulation of the processing element (PE) block of SC decoding. The proposed reformulation leads to two benefits: firstly, critical path and hardware complexity of the PE are meaningfully reduced by using a unified adder block. Secondly, the silicon area requirement and the power consumption were also reduced considerably without any loss in performance. The proposed PE is used to build the decoder for various block lengths. Moreover, a Gate-level analysis of the proposed decoder has revealed that the design attains an 18% area reduction and 38% reduction in power consumption over the conventional one with similar performance.FPGAs – CHRONOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS AND CHALLENGES

Ultra Low Power Design and High Speed Design of Domino Logic Circuit
The tremendous success of the low-power designs of VLSI circuits over the past 50 years has significant change
in our life style. Integrated circuits are everywhere from computers to automobiles, from cell phones to home
appliances. Domino logic is a CMOS based evolution of the dynamic logic techniques based on either PMOS or
NMOS transistors. Dynamic logic circuits are used for their high performance, but their high noise and
extensive leakage has caused some problems for these circuits. Dynamic CMOS circuits are inherently less
resistant to noise than static CMOS circuits. In this paper we proposed different domino logic styles which
increases performance compared to existing domino logic styles. According to the simulations in cadence
virtuoso 65nm CMOS process, the proposed circuit shows the improvement of up thirty percent compared
existing domino logics.
D-Flip Flop Layout: Efficient in Terms of Area and Power
Flip flop forms the very basic element for the sequential circuits which are synchronous. This paper talks about D-Flip flop, which has been made area and power efficient with the aid of software tools DSCH 3.1 and Microwind 3.1. D-flip flop is implemented through Nand gates. Layout of DFF designed through auto generated and semi custom is compared, analyses and finally the results are computed showing 57% improvement in area and approximately 2 % reduction in power. CMOS 90nm technology has been used and efforts are made to reduce area and power.
PERFORMANCE OF DIFFERENT CMOS LOGIC STYLES FOR LOW POWER AND HIGH SPEED
Designing high-speed low-power circuits with CMOS technology has been a major research problem for many years. Several logic families have been proposed and used to improve circuit performance beyond that of conventional static CMOS family. Fast circuit families are becoming attractive in deep submicron technologies since the performance benefits obtained from process scaling are decreasing as feature size decreases. This paper presents CMOS differential circuit families such as Dual rail domino logic and pseudo Nmos logic their delay and power variations in terms of adder design and logical design. Domino CMOS has become the prevailing logic family for high performance CMOS applications and it is extensively used in most state-of-the-art processors due to its high speed capabilities. The drawback of domino CMOS is that it provides only non-inverting functions because of its monotonic nature. Dual-Rail Domino logic, (also known as clocked Cascade voltage switch logic where both polarities of the output are generated, provides a robust solution to this problem.
AN DYNAMIC ENERGY MANAGEMENT ON FPGA FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK
This document summarizes a research paper on implementing a low-power wireless sensor network architecture on an FPGA. The proposed architecture includes several logic modules like data processing, sensor reading, transmission and reception that are synchronized by a sync module. These modules are implemented using VHDL on a Xilinx Nexys3 FPGA board connected to sensors and radio transceivers. A dynamic programmable clock divider technique is used to distribute different clock frequencies to modules to reduce dynamic power consumption. Analysis shows the architecture achieves acceptable dynamic energy consumption for wireless sensor network applications on FPGAs.
LOGIC OPTIMIZATION USING TECHNOLOGY INDEPENDENT MUX BASED ADDERS IN FPGA
Adders form an almost obligatory component of every contemporary integrated circuit. The prerequisite of the adder is that it is primarily fast and secondarily efficient in terms of power consumption and chip area. Therefore, careful optimization of the adder is of the greatest importance. This optimization can be attained
in two levels; it can be circuit or logic optimization. In circuit optimization the size of transistors are manipulated, where as in logic optimization the Boolean equations are rearranged (or manipulated) to optimize speed, area and power consumption. This paper focuses the optimization of adder through technology independent mapping. The work presents 20 different logical construction of 1-bit adder cell in CMOS logic and its performance is analyzed in terms of transistor count, delay and power dissipation. These performance issues are analyzed through Tanner EDA with TSMC MOSIS 250nm technology. From this analysis the optimized equation is chosen to construct a full adder circuit in terms of multiplexer. This logic optimized multiplexer based adders are incorporated in selected existing adders like ripple carry
adder, carry look-ahead adder, carry skip adder, carry select adder, carry increment adder and carry save adder and its performance is analyzed in terms of area (slices used) and maximum combinational path delay as a function of size. The target FPGA device chosen for the implementation of these adders was Xilinx ISE 12.1 Spartan3E XC3S500-5FG320. Each adder type was implemented with bit sizes of: 8, 16, 32, 64 bits. This variety of sizes will provide with more insight about the performance of each adder in terms of area and delay as a function of size.

Trade-off is one of the main design parameters in the field of electronic circuit design. Whereas smaller electronics devices which use less hardware due to techniques like hardware multiplexing or due to smaller devices created due to techniques developed by nanotechnology and MEMS, are more appealing, a trade-off between area, power and speed is inevitable. This paper analyses the trade-off in the design of Wimax deinterleaver. The main aim is to reduce the hardware utilization in a deinterleaver but speed and power consumption are important parameters which cannot be overlooked.

Ultra Low Power Design and High Speed Design of Domino Logic Circuit
The tremendous success of the low-power designs of VLSI circuits over the past 50 years has significant change
in our life style. Integrated circuits are everywhere from computers to automobiles, from cell phones to home
appliances. Domino logic is a CMOS based evolution of the dynamic logic techniques based on either PMOS or
NMOS transistors. Dynamic logic circuits are used for their high performance, but their high noise and
extensive leakage has caused some problems for these circuits. Dynamic CMOS circuits are inherently less
resistant to noise than static CMOS circuits. In this paper we proposed different domino logic styles which
increases performance compared to existing domino logic styles. According to the simulations in cadence
virtuoso 65nm CMOS process, the proposed circuit shows the improvement of up thirty percent compared
existing domino logics.
D-Flip Flop Layout: Efficient in Terms of Area and Power
Flip flop forms the very basic element for the sequential circuits which are synchronous. This paper talks about D-Flip flop, which has been made area and power efficient with the aid of software tools DSCH 3.1 and Microwind 3.1. D-flip flop is implemented through Nand gates. Layout of DFF designed through auto generated and semi custom is compared, analyses and finally the results are computed showing 57% improvement in area and approximately 2 % reduction in power. CMOS 90nm technology has been used and efforts are made to reduce area and power.
PERFORMANCE OF DIFFERENT CMOS LOGIC STYLES FOR LOW POWER AND HIGH SPEED
Designing high-speed low-power circuits with CMOS technology has been a major research problem for many years. Several logic families have been proposed and used to improve circuit performance beyond that of conventional static CMOS family. Fast circuit families are becoming attractive in deep submicron technologies since the performance benefits obtained from process scaling are decreasing as feature size decreases. This paper presents CMOS differential circuit families such as Dual rail domino logic and pseudo Nmos logic their delay and power variations in terms of adder design and logical design. Domino CMOS has become the prevailing logic family for high performance CMOS applications and it is extensively used in most state-of-the-art processors due to its high speed capabilities. The drawback of domino CMOS is that it provides only non-inverting functions because of its monotonic nature. Dual-Rail Domino logic, (also known as clocked Cascade voltage switch logic where both polarities of the output are generated, provides a robust solution to this problem.
AN DYNAMIC ENERGY MANAGEMENT ON FPGA FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK
This document summarizes a research paper on implementing a low-power wireless sensor network architecture on an FPGA. The proposed architecture includes several logic modules like data processing, sensor reading, transmission and reception that are synchronized by a sync module. These modules are implemented using VHDL on a Xilinx Nexys3 FPGA board connected to sensors and radio transceivers. A dynamic programmable clock divider technique is used to distribute different clock frequencies to modules to reduce dynamic power consumption. Analysis shows the architecture achieves acceptable dynamic energy consumption for wireless sensor network applications on FPGAs.
LOGIC OPTIMIZATION USING TECHNOLOGY INDEPENDENT MUX BASED ADDERS IN FPGA
Adders form an almost obligatory component of every contemporary integrated circuit. The prerequisite of the adder is that it is primarily fast and secondarily efficient in terms of power consumption and chip area. Therefore, careful optimization of the adder is of the greatest importance. This optimization can be attained
in two levels; it can be circuit or logic optimization. In circuit optimization the size of transistors are manipulated, where as in logic optimization the Boolean equations are rearranged (or manipulated) to optimize speed, area and power consumption. This paper focuses the optimization of adder through technology independent mapping. The work presents 20 different logical construction of 1-bit adder cell in CMOS logic and its performance is analyzed in terms of transistor count, delay and power dissipation. These performance issues are analyzed through Tanner EDA with TSMC MOSIS 250nm technology. From this analysis the optimized equation is chosen to construct a full adder circuit in terms of multiplexer. This logic optimized multiplexer based adders are incorporated in selected existing adders like ripple carry
adder, carry look-ahead adder, carry skip adder, carry select adder, carry increment adder and carry save adder and its performance is analyzed in terms of area (slices used) and maximum combinational path delay as a function of size. The target FPGA device chosen for the implementation of these adders was Xilinx ISE 12.1 Spartan3E XC3S500-5FG320. Each adder type was implemented with bit sizes of: 8, 16, 32, 64 bits. This variety of sizes will provide with more insight about the performance of each adder in terms of area and delay as a function of size.

In the answer to this search several design techniques have been found. Output prediction logic-OPL technique is one of such newly introduced techniques. OPL is a technique that can be applied to conventional CMOS logic families in order to obtain considerable speedups. Speedups of two to three times over static CMOS logic are demonstrated for a variety of combinational circuits. When applied to static CMOS the OPL retains the restoring nature of underlying logic family. In case of OPL applied to the pseudo NMOS & domino logic, the problem of excessive power dissipation is solved & speedups more than static CMOS logic is obtained
