be written in your notes.

 Yo = I
 Tú = you (informal)
 Él = He
 Ella = She
 Usted (Ud.) = you (formal)

 Nosotros = We (masculine)
 Nosotras = We (feminine)
 Vosotros = You all (masculine & informal)
 Vosotras = You all (feminine & informal)
 Ellos = They (masculine)
 Ellas = They (feminine)
 Ustedes (Uds.) = you all (formal/informal)

6. Los verbos - verbs
VERBS express actions or states of
being.
INFINITIVE - simplest form of a verb
ENGLISH INFINITIVE: begins with the
word "to"
TO SPEAK
SPANISH INFINITIVE: ends with -ar, er, ir
HABLAR, COMER, VIVIR
**An infinitive is NOT used by itself. It
must be conjugated (changed) or used
with another conjugated verb.

 REGULAR verbs follow the conjugation rules.
 IRREGULAR verbs do not follow the
conjugations rules.

Part 1: Stem

Hablar - Habl = stem
-ar = ending

 - ar verbs:
 1) drop the –ar so you're left with the stem
 2) Add ending
