We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
2. Purpose
The purpose of the magazine is to give detailed information about the artist and rap music. The
purpose of my magazine is to engage with my target audience and make sure I give the correct
detail provided.
I will focus on certain trends and issues and provide background information and go into details
of depths.
The purpose is to report and make original research and findings. It is to provide information to
a global audience and to deliver and share information across to multiple platforms.
3. Form and genre and price
I have chosen to use this genre because there is a variety of artists within rap music, and it is
also one of the most, if not the most popular music genre.
They're aren't that many rap magazines out so I feel my magazine could fill the gap in that
market and has a better chance of being more popular.
I will be uploading a website and my magazine will be available to those online. There will be a
subscription starting at a very low price but can cancel at anytime. The price of my magazine
will be priced at £3.50 which I feel is a reasonable price.
4. Target audience
My Primary target audience will be both male and female of the ages 14-25 years of age from
any racial/ethnic group of any social class. I feel this is the right age as the genre rap music is
becoming more popular across of north london.
My secondary audience will be targeted at those of the ages over of age of 25. I feel by choosing
this age group they are old but not to old to adapt to a new music genre.
5. Content
My magazine will contain interviews, information and articles about the upcoming rap artists.
This includes all private information such as there tour dates, concert ticket price, news about
there new music that will be released and general information.
The form of my magazine will include; articles, stories, pictures and advertisement. There will
be short stories in my magazine to engage with my primary target audience.
6. Resources and Personnel
The resources that I will be using will require a camera, the camera will do the photoshoots of
the featured rap artists.
I will need all my camera equipment, this would include, Tripods and different types of lenses in
order to get a unique look and shot type.
I will also need any required props, to make my photos look more professional.
A computer will be needed in order to edit photos, to upload all my content.
In my personnel I will include a camera man/operator to take my photos, and I will need a
model for my photos for the front cover and the double page spread or for both.
I would need a publisher to publish my magazine.
7. Distribution and marketing methods
To gain the attention of my target audience, it would be beneficial for me to market my
magazine through social media as they are quite a young age group.
Teenagers tend to use social media on a daily basis so I will be advertising my magazine on
certain platforms such as, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook by advertising my
magazine on these certain platforms i am cdrtain i will catch the eye of my target audience.
For distribution my magazine will be sold in newsagents and shops all throughout north London.
Places such as Tescos or Sainsburys, and the local post office/ newsagents.
8. Competition
There will be competition such as the magazines XXL and Word up!. Both mine and their
magazines are targeted at the same audience but I feel I’m at an advantage as my magazine
sells for half the price of theirs, at £3.50, which is affordable for my target audience
My magazine will be different to theirs as i will have a bold colour theme and make sure my
magazine stands out amoungst theirs
9. Article ideas
In my magazine I will include Q&A’s, and private interview with the artist, and audience
reviews. I will also input some short stories providing general information about the artist.
10. Title of magazine
The font I've decided to do was SPLIT(middle font) i decided to
use this font for my masthead as i feel it is big and bold. It gives
off an effect which draws your attention to the magazine
straight away.
11. I have decided to use this font as its easy to read
and gives off quite a modern look.
I have decided to use this font as it
also draws the audiences eyes to the
page.
